Just FYI the U7 Pro have a built in fan. That big slot to the left of the network port is the exhaust. You can see it around the 02:01 mark in the video.

@@WillieHowe MIMO is to have multiple streams to multiple devices simultaneously. 2x2 can only do 2x2 to a single device while 4x4 can do 2x2 streams to 2 devices simultaneously.

We have a lot of C-Stores and we still use WiFi 5 in them and dont plan on moving them to 6 any time soon, for the stuff we run in them we dont need super high speed yet.

The only advantage to having 4x4 is more antennas to serve more clients. Outside an enterprise environment you wont even notice this limitation. It would take over 100 clients to even notice. Most devices are 2x2 mimo configuration anyway. Even the s24 that’s WiFi 7 capable.

@@98ws6m6cvertthey stuck a laptop wifi chip in an AP. My 2019 MacBook pro has 3x3 wifi 5 interface that outperforms 2x2 wifi6 in actual tests. Also, there are other important advantages to more radio chains. You won't need more than a handful of clients to see a difference.

That part you didn't know the name of is called a "doubler plate" and is used when mounting on drop ceiling tiles. Without it, the screws would pull out of the weak material the tiles are made of.

is there a portal to configure unifi7 pro? Your portal seems to be management portal for all your unifi devices. I just want to use the AP and connect it to my pfsense/opnsense firewall. My firewall is setup with the vlans and dhcp. I just want the AP to be Vlan aware according to the Vlans setup on the firewall.

That thing is a beast. With a single UAP AC Pro and 3 U6-Lite's in my place, I think I am good for a while before I need to upgrade. Don't really have 2.5Gbe anywhere outside my rack so helps keep me from just impulse buying one to tinker with. lol. 😇

They claim it has throughput up to 5.7Gb/s on Wi-Fi 7, but it only has a single 2.5Gbe port. They advertise 6 spatial streams, but it's actually 2x2 on each band. I think ill stick with my $200 Cisco 9130AXI from eBay 😉
