The book about Ronja Rövardotter was written by Astrid Lindgren in 1981 and filmed in 1984. The new film adaptation was released in 2024 on Netflix and the book is released in 37 languages. Read it to your children.
It is about a ten year old girl who was born on a stormy night in a mountain fort, surrounded by her parents and a loving band of robbers. Ronja grows into a strong and active girl, and discovers that the forest is both a beautiful and terrifying place inhabited by strange creatures. She befriends the son of her father's rival and so begins the drama of her friendship and family loyalty.
