If I am being completely honest. Even though the show case "trailer" what ever you want to call it was only 2 minutes long. It's enough to see how this game is going to turn out. Many trailers look like these and typically your gut feeling is almost always correct with the scenarios. This looks so bad its hard to look at this looks nothing like the fable me and many others use to play. It looks almost like a off brand "Hogwarts" mixed with " It takes two. " which none of which resembles what fable is all about. Yes the character is ugly and truly why on planet earth make a ugly character the front line of your showcase. This is honestly so embarrassing the intro cutscene in fable 2 is 100x better than this entire showcase. I really hope this game turns out well because me and many others have been waiting to long for another Fable to get this. Please Developers take two more years if it means I can play fable and it has the opportunity to make me play it even years down the road and make new characters and replay the amazing storyline like made with fable 2 and 3. I remember when people thought fable 3 was bad. Can't wait till they see this.

I played the hell out of fable 2, the cd eventually split in half, which was a sad day, but I loved playing this game, I've heard dismay about the game for odd reasons but it's a decision-making RPG video game that affects your character and the world of Albion, I only hope that they don't change that aspect of it. I played this and many similar games, like KOTOR and The Elder Scrolls games, while everyone else was playing Halo and COD.

I really enjoyed Fable 3 when I was a kid and am excited for them to come back but I was hoping for more adventure than comedy haha, don't get me wrong i'm still really excited for it and I loved how funny the trailer was but i'm hoping for good storyline of anything from this one

Love is not a strong enough word. I've been a Fable fan since '04, and I'm beyond excited for this. I got serious Fable III vibes from the end. It was like the time in that trailer where the chicken was getting chased around the kitchen by the angry chef. I bought an XBox for the original Fable and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. So seeing this makes me beyond happy. All the more impressive is that this trailer says: "In Game Footage". We know from the Forza Horizon series that Playground Games is great at building beautiful game worlds. They've done it again here. The quaint charm and awe and wonder of Albion is back in spades..... " *And so, our story begins....* "
I'm cautiously optimistic about this. It has that classic Fable humour and nods to the old games with things like Chicken kicking. Also the brief bit of combat we see looks fluid and combines sword with sorcery which was a key part of Fable 1 (it was less fluid in Fable 2 where you had to stand still to charge spells.) The graphics are gorgeous, detailed, but they do lack some of that classic Fable graphical style and charm. Fable 1 and 2 both had this great system of economy, housing, interactions with the NPCs, side quests that involved real time and puzzles and riddles. The worlds felt very alive thanks to it. If they can pair that with a nice open explorable world and satisfying modern combat (learning from games like the newer Final Fantasies, Witcher etc) but inspired by the old Fable combat system... I'm sold. I love that they got Ayoade. Lionhead (the developers of the originals) had so many beloved British comedians and actors providing voice and it's nice to see something of that trend continue. Playground are a decent developer but they have pretty much only created racing games so I wonder how they'll do. I haven't played a Fable game in aaaages, but I still have tonnes of the music on my playlists and listen regularly. For a long time the music from Lookout point in Fable 1 was paired with my alarm, so pretty. Lovely reaction, I found the trailer fantastically funny too ^^

I was actually excited for this game because I love Fable 2 and playground games makes incredible games apparently. I never played them but I hear Forza Horizon 3,4 and 5 are incredible. By any chance, did you play Fable 1? or the enhanced and more popular version, Fable: The Lost Chapters? I've spoken to some people about this, and the ones that didn't like the trailer were the ones that started playing Fable 2, instead of the first one. It's just curiosity, but it kind of seems like a trend that this reboot seems to cater more towards the ones that experienced the first entry first? Of course, I've talk with less than 20 people, a very small sample size, but I find it interesting that Fable 2 set such a different tone compared to its predecessor.

The thing I remember was a flashback dream scene in a garden where your sister gets taken? I'm pretty sure it was in the first one and not the second lol.

Fable 2 has some core features from the first one, but took several things in another (still great) direction, plus is set in a future where guns are used. The tone of this trailer seems to be pointing to that first experience of the lost chapters, however, I think being cautious and having tempered expectations is the right way to go. After all, this is a different developer, and we haven't see gameplay at all.

I've spoken to some people about this, and the ones that didn't like the trailer were the ones that started playing Fable 2, instead of the first one. It's just curiosity, but it kind of seems like a trend that this reboot seems to cater more towards the ones that experienced the first entry first? Of course, I've talk with less than 20 people, a very small sample size, but I find it interesting that Fable 2 set such a different tone compared to its predecessor.
@@EnriqueGonzalez18362 I actually did play Fable the Lost Chapters. I played it on the 360 with backwards compatibility. I enjoyed that too but didn't get that far lol. The thing I remember was a flashback dream scene in a garden where your sister gets taken? I'm pretty sure it was in the first one and not the second lol.
@@jimharrison2513 Yeah, that's how the story begins. Fable 2 has some core features from the first one, but took several things in another (still great) direction, plus is set in a future where guns are used. The tone of this trailer seems to be pointing to that first experience of the lost chapters, however, I think being cautious and having tempered expectations is the right way to go. After all, this is a different developer, and we haven't see gameplay at all.
