I have a pair of red , white and grey 90s that have seen better days . I was thinking about trying to do something to make them a little nicer . Would you recommend doing a whole new colorway or just restoring them ? And what paint would you recommend if their not leather ? Their like a suede material

Mike W. Customizing has a lot of risks of messing up the shoes and you would lose some money if you mess up, if you restore them you’ll have a good pair of shoes again. Its up to you, but if customize them you should use suede dye on the suede part of the shoe. I use products from angelus direct.

darrin goodbrand the paint will rub off the nubuck area because I painted the nubuck. But I did it anyway because I dont get my shoes so dirty.

Bape Colors:/
Fire red/
40% Red, 60% Black, Should look brown/
55% Fire Red, 45% White, Should look sorta bright pink/

Woodroe Mitchell paint will rub off .. most of the time customs are for collecting not actual wearing

Villa Mex The paint won't rub off but the paint on the nubuck area will because you're not supposed to paint nubuck. But I did it anyway because I wont throw these in the washer lol.

Jimbo Fabro uhh, as long as its the same material and if you want to do the extra work then you can do this custom on any air max 90 colorway.
