I want to say this song and the timing I found it July 2020, the day of this comment, did something really special for me. My only cat and longtime friend died suddenly of a heart attack a week ago. And I had been feeling lost and devastated. Today, I went to pick up his ashes. And when I got home with him, I turned on RUclips. And this song was at the top. So I played it, just looking for anything really. And all I heard listening was the chorus "And the lights go ooo-n forever". And I felt something uplifting inside me and it gave me some closure for my fallen friend. I love synthwave so much.
New Retro Wave is AWESOME! Just love the music. But the best thing is, is hearing the new music that the youth are writing. It reminds me, when I was a teenager. KEEP ON ROCKIN' WITH IT!!!!!!
I already lived through the '80s ('76 baby here!) so I can die happily before that. Though, it *would* be cool to live through it again. Too bad that, by the time I get there, I will already be in my hundreds, so partying like it's '83 *probably* won't be an option for me. Let's hope that someone invents a San Junípero virtual reality server already so that us old farts can party like it's really '83 again.
