The best description: Lean help 0 takes where your stick is and makes it where the bars/rider are. Like RAW input. As soon as you tilt the stick you immediately LEAN to that value. as soon as you let go you snap back like the stick does. The difference with the whoops and ruts is that it doesn't care what the ground is doing, it just puts the bars where you put the stick regardless of the angle the ground is touching the tire at. So if you are in a curved rut, it doesn't try to force you into that rut and grab and yank your tire.
Lean help 1 is like having force feedback, the bike pushes back and the ruts try to grab and turn your tire into them and bumps hit your tire from angles and your rider has to fight that force. Much more realistic, but requires you to man handle it a bit more to get by those forces pushing your bars around.

I use "lean hep 0" because i use a steering wheel to play the game. It makes "easier" for me to control the bike by raw input.

I have about 20 hours on this game what’s the best advice to get better at supercross
lean help 0 literally fixes so many problems with the physics of this game and people got to go and ban it. yet people complain about this setting being unrealistic but ride on lean help 3 which is literally turning the bike for you so can somebody explain to me how that is more realistic than pure stick movement? Theres multiple setting in this game that make it more unrealistic so why are we not banning those too?
what issues, the game is fine
I tried it out, it felt decent but when I go to lean up out of a turn, it would snap up so fast I would crash going the other way.
because it’s 100% raw input , where your stick is is where the handlebars will be 100% of the time

@@troyjannn I'm DYING. after practicing on a few tracks with this, I went back to race on one of them and got my first #1 finish EVER LMAO. I managed to get past the lappers without crashing once this race.
For me it did feel good but my front end feels like a slip n slide literally, idk how the fuck yall are even running like that, it makes more front fucks and weird front end shit happen for me

I don't think it's cheating, considering anyone can change it. It's not like you're hacking, or gotta pay to change it. Use it if you like it, don't if you don't.

Just sayin there isn't lean help IRL. The lean help applies forces that otherwise would not be. The reason it stays straight is because you didnt move the stick. It doesnt change the physics. It takes away counter physics from lean help. One more thing. When you turn your bars IRl the bike reacts instantly and you can shit whip yourself to oblivion off any jump
I feel like this setting applies forces that would not be. Its basically the opposite of mx simulator which applies no forces
@@troyjannn True but everyone who comes from sim prefers lean help 0. I prefer it cause it leaves the mistakes on me not some wonky physic that catches you off guard. the bikes and pib moments have got a lot better. Just think this is a preference and shouldnt have been a topic of conversation. In my opinion the time could be better used towards new servers, netcode fixes and a website that doesnt crash every day
@@xlilmitchx9128 real life also doesnt have a single thumb used for turning... real life bike turning is alot slower than ingame due to there being actual weight behind the bike and the rider needs to take that into account.
If it makes whoops easier then its not a preference anymore, it just makes the game easier at that point and will be the meta for all pros whether you like it or not.
Lets be real, its probably alot easier to develop this kind of an update which is just a setting for lobbies than new servers or netcode, and the website doesnt make a difference ingame.
@@Otakahunt Lmao on bikes turning slower IRl. been racing moto for 34 years. I can tell you a dirt bike can turn on a dime and the bars can twitch so fast they are ripped out of your hands. tell me again how im wrong? They dont make the whoops or game easier at all. In fact it makes it much much harder.
Lets also be real. This game originally came out in 2014. 10 years ago and the netcode has never been addressed. this game has picked up a lot of speed and instead of making game play cleaner, we focus on settings that havent been touched and didnt need it over the last decade
You can't make a dirtbike do an instant 540 degree rotation off a Supercross triple IRL... the comment above about you steering on a joystick is absolutely correct. This setting gives you 1:1 control over a joystick, turns the game full arcade and that's not why we play MX Bikes.
