I have often wondered where lines come from for songs. Like "What Do You Get Fall In Love" one line is "you get enough germs to catch pneumonia." Only a few weeks before that Bacharach spent a few days in a hospital with pneumonia. When he was married to Angie Dickinson, they would often have parties at their home. Many times, Angie was in the kitchen preparing for the evening. When the doorbell rang, she would welcome them & then ask that she was quite busy & for them to get the next doorbell, since it would be one less bell to answer. Yes, that was root of a song for the Fifth Dimension song. Newsweek did a cover story on him in the late 60's or early 70's. Actress-Singer Polly Bergen mentioned that she found it hard to get in a rhythm when sang his & Hal David's work. I also remember him saying a songwriter is the one who best expresses the feeling of the song.
First, I offer my condolences to his family and friends on his passing. I last heard him on the radio being interviewed by a legendary reporter. She asked what plans he had for the future. He blew my mind saying that he'd like to write music for Ron Isley (from the famed Isley Brothers group that sang "Shout" featured in the "Blues Brothers" movie). He said he wanted to bring romance back into music and Ron was perfect to help facilitate that endeavor. My favorite song was actually tied between two by Burt: "If Anyone Had A Heart" and "Alfie".

I'm very sad about his death I don't know the tragic with his daughter I love all his compositions, but the "little prayer" is my favourite He was blessed to bring us music of joy🌈
One of my favorite Bacharach and David songs is 'Promises, promises', from the musical of that name. It seems simple to sing but is, actually, extremely complex.

I went into the kitchen and played Here I'm by Dion Warrack. For my wife of 33 years . I told her that was a song to her from me.
Much to my surprise she had never heard it.
Has to be my favorite. R. I. P. Sir.
Carol was so pretty. She reminded me of Liz Taylor
So is/was Angie Dickinson.

@@FactsVerse I love what's new pussy cat.
The "Z" generation doesn't care. They are too caught up in themselves. Nothing that was created in the "past" matters to them. Only their Feelings matter.
My favorite Burt Bachararch song is "That's what friends are for" , " They don't make then like they used to" and "The look of love"
Our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
My favorite Bacharach's song is "the windows of the world". Greetings from Mexico City
One of our favorites too, you've got fine taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
@@FactsVerse The great Francis Lai. I think he was the french version of Burt Bacharach.
Ty 4 all the amazing music rip
Truly, Burt will be missed. Which of Burt's songs appealed to you the most?
Wow! No idea he died in 2023. What an incredible musical legacy. However you forgot to mention the late great Dusty Springfield who brought his composition and lyrics to life - The look of love
Just goes to show that brilliance in one area doesn't exclude stupidity in another.
Burt Bacharach will be missed. He did died Gary Coleman's birthday! I thought I let everyone know about the fact! I will definitely remember Burt Bacharach from the Gieco commercial that he did! Burt Bacharach best work that he ever did in my mind!
His music was the soundtrack to my early married life. Many happy memories associated with his music. Will always love his songs.

May Burt find peace. In your opinion, what is his finest song?
"What do you get when you fall in love?..." I'll Never Fall in Love Again - once it's in my head it doesn't go away.
A great talent. But Carol didn't deserve that.
He'd reached his 94th year (actually in his 95th year) and it's not at all surprising that his mind and body were worn out, not at all surprising. Everyone has their time. His music will live on, hopefully even after the nukes take us ALL out!
His songs will live on forever.
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Burt. Which of his songs is the most memorable for you?
@@FactsVerse Raindrops keep falling on my head.
There's too many favorites! I'll just say...."Anyone Who Had A Heart" because of the incredible ending, which I think they faded too soon!
Forever My Love is a wonderful and timeless love ballad.
e absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and have a great day!
BURT BACHARACH FORMA PARTE DE MI JUVENTUD.- ESCUCHO SIEMPRE ESTE HOMBRE ESTA ENAMORADO DE TI.- NUNCA, LAMENTABLEMENTE, PUDE BAILAR ESE TEMA CON UNA DULCE CHICA.-
I'm very sad about his death
I don't know the tragic with his daughter
I love all his compositions, but the "little prayer" is my favourite
He was blessed to bring us music of joy🌈
How about Close to you? This is to me one of his best songs, Karen Carpenter hit.❤
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
Sad😢💝
I have the opposite fear from Burt. I feared if I were honest I’d not feel well and its been fantastic!
Very interesting, thank you so much for sharing this info. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
👍🏼😁
One of my favorite Bacharach and David songs is 'Promises, promises', from the musical of that name. It seems simple to sing but is, actually, extremely complex.
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! May Burt find peace 😢
