The Joker wants to turn our Batman into The Batman Who Laughs (Batman even points out that Joker put the toxin in his heart himself), but only after he has died. The Joker is not meant to be alive at the same time as The Batman Who Laughs.
It makes his line in Under the Red Hood about not wanting to go to that dark place have a lot more meaning and chilling in hindsight too cause otherwise you'd get the Batman who laughs. Speaking of Red Hood I wouldn't be surprised that should he fave off against this nightmare version of his father figure would make him better understand Batman's fear of killing criminals.

Tbh BWLs is a type of villain that gives me chills, as he is a personification of a genius intellect whose sole purpose is to kill without any restraints much like giving u a nightmarish notion of man's most evilest desires come to life except he's the Batman but still BwLs made it to my top villain count list(really hard unless a good fictional character comes into play to make it to my list tbh tho) BWLs take the cake

DC created TBWL in late 2017 then He already had 30+Comics Appearances
Not only Dark Knights Metal
He appeared Immortal Men, Justice League Vol 4 and also his own solo series
He introduced another evil version of batman which is in 2019 his name is Grim Knight...it is like Batman+Punisher
Hope TBWL gets more recognized especially Cartoons or Movies
