After selecting an area, you could go to the layers window and there's 2 flipping buttons, one for flipping it horizontally and the other vertically. That usually works for me:)

That did not work for me. That just flipped the entire canvas for me even though I only selected one part.
The way I do it is I select the area, then I go to "Perspective Form" then I use the side circles to flip it, and it works fine.
@@fkhan2006 If you open the layer window, there should be a black box in the very right of it, there should be the same buttons on it, those work for just the layer you have selected instead of the whole canvas

There is a way to just flip one thing, you have to select it with the lasso then duplicate the layer(it will just duplicate what you selected) then you can flip it! That's how I do it anyway. Hope it helps :)
To flip one single object you need to select it, then go on the upper right corner and touch the square icon to open a menu with an option to cut, copy and paste elements. Cut the element, then paste it and it will be moved to a separate layer. Then open the layer menu and flip the layer with the icon on the right (under the transform button in layer menu, not the one under the image of the layer). Then you can merge the layers to have them in a single layer again.

I dont know if you will see this, but in order to flip something. You have to lasso it, then go to where your layers are and flip it. This works for me usually, but you have to keep the lasso around the thing you want to flip when you click the flip button icon in the layers.

To flip a specific object you can use the perspective tool and drag from left to right. Until you get the flipped image I don’t know if I explained it so well.
Yes! The perspective form tool works in the lasso menu!
Theres also a flip button in layer

idk how other people do it but this is how i do it :
select the thing you wanna flip
copy it (click the box on the upper right that's where you can find it )
and then paste it , you can see that it move to another layer now flip that layer where the thing you select is and then that's it.

There is actually a way to flip that selected area you want, after selecting the area go to the layers window and duplicate that layer (the selected area would be duplicated) then you'd click the flip button the the right side

Edit: For flipping a specific object, I found out a while back that when you go onto the perspective scale on the lasso tool (I think that’s what it’s called-) and use it like the warp tool on Procreate in a way, and use it to squish(?) the object you’re trying to flip, until it becomes reversed
(I’ll come back to try and explain it better T_T)

there is, click on layers and on the right there's more options for flipping. *the one on the right and left differ in a way where a whole canvas will be flipped while selected and the other one will only flip the selected area*

To answer your question about flipping, there really isn’t a way to flip a part of your drawing in IbisPaintX (if there is a way I surely don’t know it) but what i normally do is after I lasso the part of the drawing i want flipped I use the perspective option and I drag one side (the middle of the square) past the other side, till it’s roughly the same size of the original (non-flipped) lassoed portion, just flipped….I hoped this helped😓😅
for flipping selected objects i lasso them, copy the layer, deselect it, and flip the layer. when you duplicate a layer when you have smth selected it only dupes that part :)

Your art is amazing as always!!💕 I know that to flip an object after selecting it with the lasso tool, you can go to perspective form and flip it manually by dragging the left point and cross it over to the right side or vice versa. It's kind if tedious since you can't really have it flip perfectly. Hope this helps even if it's just a little!💕
Regarding the selection flipping, you can either use transform, click the second/middle kind of moving thing (perspective?) and flip there just by moving one of the sides across the other (idk how to explain it), or you can for more accurate flipping, select the thing you want to flip, copy it, delete it, and then paste it again. It'll be on another layer, so you can flip that layer and it will flip the thing you pasted onto it sorry for my confusing explanation! 😅

Hi Rin! I am fairly new to your channel and really enjoy watching your videos. I love your art style and process and have been trying to implement a little of it into my art. Also, in ibis paint, you can select the part you want to change, then go into perspective transform and use one of the side center points and drag it all the way past the opposite side. I think that should only flip that part. I hope this helps.
After you select something go to the layers and there is a button to flip it
What I do on flipping a specific area is that I duplicate it and go to the layers and flip that layer
Add a layer before drawing the eye than after drawing said eye go to the layers window and duplicate the layer and flip the duplicated layer. Presto you now have 2 eyes 👀 😊

i think the only way to flip an area is to select it then copy and paste it so it’s on its own layer and then flip that layer and move it to ur preferred spot!! really round about way of doing it but that’s the only way i know how to do it

ALSO about flipping. You can select specific area, copy it and paste on another layer. Then you just flip the layer and adjust the copied part just like you want to and when ur done, just make those two layers as one again! Don't forget to erase the old part before doing that tho ;)

I usualy select that thing I wanna flip, duplicate it (by duplicating the layer, it will just duplicate that selectected area) then remove the selection and just flip the whole canvas that has that duplicated thing and move it to the place I want

to flip an individual object in ibis paint i do this: lazo the object, select the second category on the moving tool and then i drag the blue square thing orizontally (so you can use it to make things wider or to mirror things). idk if there's another way but i hope this helped :D

There is a way to flip a object, or how I do it is I just select go to perspective and just drag a side to the opposite way until its flipped. Hope this helps!
with the flipping thing, I would lasso the area I wanted to flip copy it to a new layer, I think, or losso the place the press transform then you can flip it... its been a while, and I've been using medibang, so I can't really remember

One way I flip an object by itself is I laso, then duplicate it. after that I keep the lasso on but clear the thing I duplicated off the base layer. After all that I just flip it from the duplicated layer...Ik that prob makes no sense...but it is easy

@@Rinspiritart There is another way that I found. If u select the thing and then go to move then u click on the second option the box with the dots on the four corners. After that u can drag one side to the other but it can come off uneven. But yeh😅

I don't think you can flip the one part you selected unfortunately, I guess a loophole would be to copy and paste it and then flip that layer

What does changing your lineart layer to multiply do? Sorry, but I'm a noob with digital art 😁
Basically it becomes a bit tranparest and allows some colors to get through for a bit of varietion :)
You can also use it for shadows so it won’t become murky
