Great idea for stamp storage, Jamie! I recognize that laminator! I have one just like it, as well as a brand new, smaller laminator, I bought at Aldi's about 4 years ago. The older, larger model still works PERFECTLY so I just keep using it! Love it!
thanks Roberta, it works well for me. My machine came from Sams Club about a million years ago & still works fine, of course it doesn't get used all the time. lol xo thanks for watching & happy art'in
Roberta's Artistic Adventures I know you wrote this comment a long time ago but in the off chance that you happen to see this reply, could you tell me how you find/found the Aldi laminator? I just bought one yesterday & haven't tried it yet but am just curious if it lasted well & was decent quality? Thanks! x
Thank you. You have saved my crafting life!!!!! I just bought a new laminator to use for foiling. Now that I know stamps will stick to laminator sheets, I plan to do exactly what you did, including the tacky glue. I will wait until after the Christmas rush, however. Anyway, THANK YOU!!!!!
well thank you Barbara. I highly suggest to test just a few of your stamps first, some people really don't like stamps this way. And if the stamps don't stick, as sometimes even happens with acrylic ones, try brushing on just a little bit of Aleene's Tack it Over & Over on the back of them. The tack it over & over will come off using alcohol but remember the brush you use will be ruined. I keep my tack it over & over brush with the bottle. lol good luck & happy holidays xo happy artin
At most stores , you can find these little paper rings.Put over the hole of your plastic sleeves.I would use glue, they already have sticky stuff on them. After time the sticky stuff breaks down so I use glue.Office Depot has them.probably hanging with the post its.
Thank you Sudique, so glad this helped. I recommend that IF de-wooding stamps to just do a few, so you can be sure you will like them stored on pages. I still do, but it's not a storage system for everyone. Thanks for watching xo happy new week artin
correct I do not put in page protectors, they are too hard to get & out. they do not stick together BUT I would put a sheet protector between the stamp pages because some of them will mare others and Yes I'm still happy with this system, it's been many years and still works for me. and with that said it's not for everyone. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and for a great question xo happy artin
thanks Christa & yes I could, but I also keep my die cut images in my desk reference & I flip though it looking for what inspires me to use on my project. But for sure it's an option xo happy artin weekend
thanks Janet, but don't be green. I'm glad hubby had this machine sitting around (for years) funny how an idea will pop in your mind - ummm inspiration !! thanks for watching & commenting xo
Well done my smart and funny friend!!! xoxo I got a tickle when I thought I'm watching APG using an ATG. I am so easily amused and so glad you were there to share a good laugh with me ;P
lol it right Dana, I got that ATG last fall at Hancock's fabric $8; post on the blog soon about that special ATG too lol thanks for watching & all the commenting love xoxo
Such a fantastic idea...Thank you so much for sharing!!! The only thing I need to purchase is the Aleene's Tack It because I have the other supplies...YAY! Take care, Lily
so glad you watched, I would suggest only doing a few just in case you don't like this method. .. I do, however some don't. xo happy green weekend art'in & good luck
What you created almost looks like my die storage, but they are on magnetic sheets. I just bought my second box, I guess I'm hooked on dies as you're hooked on stamps❣ Hugzzzzzzz dahhhhhlin
they are pretty close, I buy the magnetic vent covers from the home improvement store, cut them down to fit on cardboard sheets that fit into some boxes I use to store my thinlets . . . I thought I had a video of that too, but I suppose not . . . add that to my list. Patty I am a collector of all things, it makes me a better artist ya know lol Thanks for watchin xo happy weekend artin
APG Jamie You're doing a great job so keep making more. Its funny when you just know someone by their typed words and how much more they come alive when you can at least hear their voice. I feel like I know you even better now! And its a little scary that you remind me of me! LOL!!!
GREAT idea! I'm wondering if you can cut the pouches in half if you only want have of that size of paper laminated. For example can you take a letter-sized laminating pouch and cut it in half so you can get 2 smaller laminated pieces... I have my stamps and dies in pocket protectors, but tend to use the 2-pocket size a lot, and would like to be able to put a laminated smaller sheet in each of the 2 pockets in a letter-sized regular 8 .5" by 11" binder. Thanks for your expertise. What a great idea reinforcing the holes area! :)
thank you so much Joanne. I afraid the pouches I have can't be cut in half as the fold is at one end. However I bet the card stock can be cut in half (actually a bit smaller than half) It would be tricky to keep them straight BUT as long as the pouch seals between them halves it should work . . .pretty sure I may have to try it. Thanks so much xo happy art'ing ps LOL you are so sweet "expertise" thank you more xoxo
Jamie, tell it to me straight gal, are you still happy you did this? In the end, is that simply paper you are putting between the laminated sheets, or is that also laminated? And, the tack it over and over glue......... you still like that glue? I'll need to get that, if so. But, have lots of laminating sheets. Seems like a great idea. Are you still happy with this? Would you change anything?
Helen, I am happy with this. I use card stock in the lament, trimmed down a little to allow for better sealing at the edges. I use the tack it over & over on the back of stamps that won't stick anymore, or don't have that cling stuff on them, so they will stick to the pages and the acrylic block. I am happy with stamp storage solution, for me it works well. I can't think of anything I'd change & this is a great question, thank you. IF you are thinking about this, try just doing a few to find out how you like it. thanks so much for your questions Helen I really appreciate YOU xo happy artin & if ya try it let me know if works for you more xoxo
You are just the bestest Jamie .... thanks!!! I have a mere pittance of stamps compared to you, but it's frustrating trying to find that "perfect one."
I don't have a laminating machine... but... that's a good idea. =) And I really really enjoyed this video... and You have some cool stamps. =) *grins*.
We've had the machine so long, I think we paid $50 at the most for it & the pouches maybe $20 from Sams Club eons ago. Thanks, I like some of 'em too ;) thanks for watching & commenting xoxo
Hey APG...what an awesome idea....I have a ton (2 boxes) of old... little stamps... & I just hate having to dig through them, this would be so much easier & take up less room ( & we all need more room, right?) Is it hard to take them off of the wooden block? Stay Creative ~Pauline
Nomadicrose some are harder than others. some just pull right off, some you need to pop in the micro wave at 10 second intervals until they come off. Some are problematic - le sigh. I use Aleene's tack over & over, small amount thin coat. JournalArtista uses carpet tape on her acrylic blocks to hold the stamps on it & there is of course that fancy backing stuff that I can't think of the name of. le sigh. xo & thanks for watching
thanks for watching & asking Mohammed, I would suggest to computer print them, cut them down to size. space them in the laminate pouch with at least 1 inch between the cards, and run through the machine. once cool, trim them apart. I think that's what I would do. Good Luck xo happy mid week artin

I honestly did subscribe to UR website. Anyway, would U kindly either email or mail me the those things I asked for stamped onto paper 3-4x's of each one, then place in envelope & mail them to me please? Thanks in advance,APGJamie.
A DM is a Direct Message that comes through RUclips. It is really better suited to this type of request as it remains private and not public like when commenting and leaving replies. I'm sure you did subscribe to my RUclips channel, however I can not find you on the list. You have to make your subscriptions public or it doesn't show on the RUclips subscriber list, it's some sort of RUclips setting. I can't not email to you, as I can not send you a DM and besides, that would be turning someone else's image(s) into a digital format which would be copyright infringement.
Hi APG Jamie, wow what an awesome video U've made for all if us crafter's to really enjoy/learn from. Thank-U so much. Listen,I just have one request of U plz.? Would U be so kind & stamp the fishes/frogs that were in this video onto either white printer paper or white C.S. and then mail it to me? If U have any thing else U want to stamp/send me U may. TIA/GBU. Have a great day.
