  • Nanotechnology breaks the sound barrier with the X4 Nanobass, which is the most compact and portable combo amplifier ever designed by Phil Jones Bass for desktop and practice applications. It is a highly efficient mini engineering marvel that redefines transportability and "Tone To Go". It is a 35 Watt amplifier with a 4" speaker and 3 Band EQ that not only rocks with bass; it will also provide the dazzling tone for other instruments including guitar, ukulele, violin, and electronic drums.

As with all products in the PJB family, it is constructed from the highest quality materials and built to provide years of enjoyment and "Tone To Go" anywhere in the world with its built-in worldwide AC voltage input.

I have the PJB Double 4 I use it for practice at home, and I highly recommend it. PJB makes some awesome gear. Great review and demo!

PJB's small boxes are magic. I'm curious to hear this side by side with the double4.

If I didn't already have a Double Four I would definitely pick this up. The bluetooth functionality is awesome.

Great review and what a monstrously good little amp! I use PJB D-400 head with C4 cabs and can honestly say the stuff is brilliant.

Hello, thanks for the review. I am considering getting one too, to use for playing along with songs at home practice (mostly rock genre). I am unsure on volume; will this do for this purpose? I can’t play very loud as I live in an appartment, but still I want to keep some body in it (and am used to old big amps) What are your thoughts? Thx

I have one. It isn't loud, but the sound is amazingly full.
If you're looking for a very high fidelity and pure bass tone at about the volume you'd use to play with someone playing an unamplified dreadnought acoustic guitar, this is it. But if you're looking to fill a room with loud bass, look elsewhere.
The amp was designed to be extremely small and light, while still producing real bass guitar tone. For that purpose, it excels.

@@lawrencegenereux8567 Thanks for your reply! I ordered one, but have to wait for the back-order till October. I think (hope :) ) the volume will do for playing along with songs at home - which does not need to be loud, just fair volume.

If it can’t do Bluetooth playback and direct instrument output at the same time, the ball was dropped.

4 mins and about 40 seconds later that question is answered. Though I don’t know why there isn’t more examples of what THAT sounds like. 🙄

@@SeanBlitzkrieg I should have clarified for the argumentative keyboard warrior types: I mean in newer product lines that offer bluetooth playback in general. I'd watched the video.
