Retrospekt Walkman - It's Worth It!

- I am a collector of vintage media formats and I felt like it was time to add a Walkman to my collection but I did not want to risk spending money on eBay or elsewhere on a product that may not work, require hours and tools to restore or is going to fail eventually with nobody to help me out. That's where Retrospekt comes in. They fully restore vintage tech like Cassette Players and sell them. You can also send in your device for restoration too which is good info to know. I did not find any videos online regarding the experience of purchasing from them so this video is meant to cover their cassette products and after receiving my product, I trust them and may check out their cassette collection real soon. One thing to note, you don't have to spend much to get a great cassette player, buy what you can afford and enjoy the format. I buy to enjoy, never to resell. Tapes are meant to be played so why not play them in a vintage cassette player that is sure to turn heads and make a great conversation starter.

It’s happened. I never thought I’d see this day. I got old. People way younger than me are collecting things from my youth. I can’t imagine what 40 year old Duran Duran cassette tapes sound like now after they were played 1,000 times and sat in a box in someone’s garage for over 3 decades. Enjoy rewinding them with a pencil when your Walkman eats them.
I kinda feel where you're coming from seeing a rise in 90s and 2000s consoles I used to own at the time coming back as vintage collectibles. I had a cheap boombox eat one of my Flock of Seagulls cassette tapes once and it was an experience trying to unjam it without breaking the tape and rewinding it so the tape doesn't kink.
I FUCKING LOVE retrospekt. I love what they stand for and that is giving things a new life
So glad I found this video. I have been searching for a Sony Cassette player for over a year now and always came up short. So glad II found the Retrospekt site.

It took me about a week to deliver but it may take a little longer considering the current situation we are in at the moment. Still worth the wait regardless if you ask me.
