I went to analyse the move 9.Nxh7 and it's a very interesting place. Depending on which version of Stockfish and which level, you get to four candidate moves: the obvious Kxh7, the lichess analysis recommendation Nf5 and then, at higher depths of SF16, Nbc6 and Re8. While the evaluations are very close, Re8 wins, at depth 30+. But what a line. Look at the following continuation and know that it is basically forced. Any deviation from it loses for both sides! At one point Black sacrifices 8 points of material: three pawns and THE ROOK! It's beautiful: 9.Nxh7 Re8 10. Qh5 e3 11. dxe3 Bxe3 12. Bxe3 Ng6 13. Kf2 Rxe3 14. Kxe3 Nc6 15. Qc5 Qd1 16. Kf2 Re8 17. Qc3 Qd8 18. b4 Nxf4 19. Nf6+ gxf6 20. Nd2 Qb6+ 21. Qc5 Qd8 22. Qc3 Re5 23. Nc4 Rf5 24. Ke1 Nd4 25. Rd1 Qe7+ 26. Kd2 Nde2 27. Bxe2 Nxe2 lichess.org/study/MvJz7l9y
Finally a video on this opening. I’ve been playing this but not had a clue what I was doing.
Gotham Chess Levy Rozman today said the Busch Gass is a bad opening. You should challenge him
