1HBH + no grunting = heavenly bliss
underrated comment
Yep. Grunting should be prohibited. It's annoying to us and to opponents as well.
@@andreahostfu i love when players grunt, it's more intense
@@dak6105 No endless bouncing with the ball before starting with the service
One of the most aesthetically pleasing matches ever
Just passing through on my journey to watch every Federer match.
Finished yet?
Dimitrov and Federer have extremely similar playing styles, which makes this match so entertaining to watch!
always adore me... roger and grigor,,both are fantastic players
both of their techniques are so beautiful to watch tbh
There is nothing more gratifying than watching 2 one handed players play at the top of their form.
Fully agree.
This is real Tennis. Just look how they make a backhand swing. Marvelous.
Agree. pure art and beauty. Of course they are my favourite players
Looks like Grigor learned his style from Roger- (almost the exact same style of play).
InstaBlaster
Hello. It's the best.
Attacker vs attacker. That's the kind of tennis we need!
Mabee to you. Its their own fault they dont go deeper. Both are baseliners.
Attacker (striker) ? Where are they ? I just saw two baseline players !
@@willhunting7875 attacker doesn't necessarily mean serve and volley mate. Something about the pace of the rallies and the aimed areas is supposed to set you thinking about the playstyle.
@@user-cy6xl3vd3f Yes it is true ! Serve/volley is not the only way to attack but in this case why we do not consider Nadal as an attacker while Federer yes? How do you distinguish the two? The only difference between the players now is playing the backhand either with one hand or two!
@@willhunting7875 well, back in the days nadal was a very defensive player. It's only from 2009-2010 after his injury that he began attacking more, developing his net game and trying to finish the point quicker. The main reasons were the physicality of his past game and the risks of not being able to stay at a top level after 27-28.
By 2013 nadal was already way more offensive and complete, but the fact that Roger had been like this for more than 12 years made us stick to the old view.
Also nadal was not that offensive when he was on clay and Roger became even more aggressive as he was getting older during the mid 2010, so it lead people to consider him even more and attacker.
In conclusion we can definitely say that Rafa has become an attacker, but Roger is still superior and more experienced in this specific area, especially if we consider that the guy played serve and volley during the early 2000s and beat Sampras in his garden.
Sickening skills, technique and form. Roger and Grigor competing at a GS is a sight to see.
Quality of Tennis at its Peak....
The pace of the balls hit in these rallies is incredible!
the video was sped up mate
@@harryy000 no. Just check the semifinal between fed and nole, same pace.
@@user-cy6xl3vd3f I DINT KNOW THERE WAS RUclips IN CHINA
Unable to figure out which side Federer is playing on.
Even the unforced errors are beautiful.
As good as this match is, Fed's backhand in this match wasn't anywhere near the level it was this year. It's obvious he's tweaked it and perfected it even more from one year ago. Amazing. BTW, anyone else still not quite able to believe fed won his 18th? It still doesn't seem real to me. I'm still in awe lol
For me federer always had the second greatest single handed backhand just behind Wawrinka (Gasquet's backhand is overrated). His backhand has always been pretty good against almost all players
as it is easy to generate pace against the shots that come at hard and flat and it was still at a high level in this match too but yeah the Federer backhand at this year's AO was reborn into a devastating shot and destroyed every opponent including Nadal considering the fact it is very difficult for Roger or anyone with a single handed backhand to generate good pace against Nadal's top spin forehand and hitting winners from that wing from behind the baseline is next to impossible.Young federer had hard time breaking Nadal in some of the epic 5 set finals that they have played let alone in the final set of those but at 35 he comes back from being down 1-3 and hits blazing thunderous backhands to turn the match around..like wtf.. still can't believe how he did it.
I also have a strong feeling that the low bounce and fast pace of the court really helped him this year. It enabled him to attack and hit flat backhands. Also, the relative low bounce prevented Nadal from hitting high, loopy shots.
The NEO BACKHAND .....and yeah still cant believe he won the 18th ...thats why hes goat.... he makes impossible possible ;)
horrorfan24 so the forehand
19 now 😉
So beautiful to watch!
They have kind of similar play style as well. Such beautiful technique from both
great to watch, taking each ball so early
watching two smooth one handers duel in a GS stage is so exhilarating. Shame grigor never finds his calling there could've been more GS encounters with roger fed
One of the best match at Dimitrov career (with AO 2017 semi final against Rafa)
both of their form are so beautiful i love this game
What a delight to watch! Roger playing his copy, but I hope Grigor finds his own rhythm and style that helps him win, just like how our GOAT once emulated Sampras but only started winning when he found his own rhythm.
someone killed a chicken at 14:17 :´(
germanpenn 😂😂
LOL!!
Extraordinarily good comment.
Shhhhh! Quiet ! Genius at Work ! ;)
Given their similar playing styles I feel like Fed should coach Dimitrov once he retires from playing. Probably won't happen but Dimitrov could learn a ton from Roger
At this point Dimitrov might just retire before Roger
Roger should coach Tsitsipas.
@@AnxiousJoe Hahahahah LOL
@@tiberiu_toca good idea actually!
Sorry, mate. Federer will be busy coaching his own twin sons.
Beautifully played both single handed. I cant understand why peole keeps on critisizing grigor on his fh and bh style as copy cat to Fed. It aint not. Thats how proper tennis is being taught. Grigor has a powerful backhand than Fed though im still a Fed fan
But this game is what i want to watch in mens tennis.
Man that's like tennis porn. Just beautiful to watch. Now imagine comparing that to djoko playing Murray. Like watching paint dry.
Skiba Covers
there honestly isn't a more accurate comparison XD
No, I like how George Carlin described golf, like watching flies f*(k
Skiba Covers I watch Djokovic-Murray matches to make myself fall asleep. It's the perfect thing to use if you can't sleep.
BRUH THIS IS SUCH A GOOD COMMENT
I will be rooting for Dimitrov after G.O.A.T Federer retires, which I hope doesn't happen soon.
Like Dimitrov's backhand
Beautiful and powerful at full swing
Federer vol.33 VS Federer vol.23
Awesome match. Great fight!
Tennis at it‘s best
Best footwork ever. Dimitrovs backhand at 3:37
Beautiful- their styles are so similar.
Ce rph
Grenada,
If Dimitrov's serve was like Federer's serve, he would have won slams already. His serve is sad to see, too much to the center of the box all the time..
And backhand
No his game is not perfect but pretty solid overall. More mental for him.
@@jackwilliam5341 agreed he can never beat the top talent consistently
I think his techniques are close to Federer enough to win slams. Things that set Roger apart from his lookalike playing style players are his mentality, consistency, and stability. It's quite impossible to play top-3 tennis quality over 2 decades as he did. Btw, both Nadal and Djokovic obviously achieve the same perfection as Federer does.
I feel Dimitrov will beat Federer this year at the US open. But I can’t see Dimitrov beating Medvedev. He’s serious right now. Thanks for your great tennis Roger Federer. But energy . Is very important now. It’s gonna be an interesting. Match between Nadal and Medvedev? I feel this is a possibility...
You sir can see the future! Tennis is pretty unpredictable but you were right with both dimitrov beating federer and medvedev vs nadal.
You got everything right lol
wtf
Guys he made the comment after the U.S. open lol
AnxiousJoe 😂 yeah and Nadal won clown
It sounded like net during last Fed's serve at 15:19.
I hate it when people call him a copy. 😬 I know a ton of people who model their strokes after Fed, as he is the GOAT, but the way to win and the warrior mentality comes from their own mind. This gives them their own defining characteristics as a tennis player.
Well I guess I'm gonna have to start following Dimitrov now...
Now that's a fast court
Dimitrov has the same style of tennis of federer. For me After Roger He is the best talent actually.
Chandler Nelson haha what a joke. Federer is effortless, while Nadal is the opposite of effortless.
Brain Freeze nadal works harder than anyone on tour, wtf are you talking about
GRACIAS POR DARME LA OPORTUNIDAD DE VER UN MATCH, DE LO QUE YO CONSIDERO EL VERDADERO TENIS, CON DOS JUGADORES Y AMBOS CON REVÉS A UNA MANO, COMO SIEMPRE SE JUGO DESDE WIMBLEDON A FINALES DEL SIGLO 19. TENIS A UNA MANO ASI ESTABA ESTIPULADO A LA ENTRADA DE ESE LUGAR. YO LE HE PERDIDO INTERES Y EVITO VER LOS PARTIDOS DE JUGADORES QUE UTILIZAN REVÉS A DOS MANOS. NO SE SI HAYA ALGUIEN MAS QUE OPINE LO MISMO?
WELP I guess there was no THIRD SET! OH WELL! thanks for the upload either way
Rare tennis match with no grunting in current time
trying to figure out why he dimitroff has not won multiple slams and Master 1000 tournaments. It's not his technique it's his tactics.
Djokovic, Federer, Nadal
All I’m gonna say
Mimics someone else but doesn't stick to his own playing style
Yeah, I would like to see his stats on closing sets vs non-closing sets. I wonder if nerves play a factor for him more than it does for other players.
Dimitrov's forehand looks more aggressive and powerful, but lacks the consistency and control as federer's. Federer's, no need for words.
dimitrov has got everything to be a multiple slam winner
except the mentality
Arthur Yagami Dude I swear I was gonna comment the exact same words.
sultanabran1
Except the mind, the often-forgotten other half of the equation
It's tennis art
10:16--11:05- dead video
That's what I came for...
@@YesSirPhil Night of the Living Dead ;o)
DIMITROV IS Such a pusher.got all the weapons he needs and he just keeps it in.won't cut it against the best
I m fed fan..buy dimitrov bckhand is much delicate
I wonder what Roger was thinking during the match. Was it like "why the heck is he playing exactly like me?" constantly?
they keep working on racket technology, what about making the sneaker squeaks less high-pitched technology
Wow, Roger barely used his backhand slice in this match
so true
That’s right, cause it’s 1hbh vs 1hbh
@@PeiqiLi-RealLove I don't see the correlation I'm afraid? Does it effect the top spin perhaps?
@@raael3123 if it’s 1hbh vs 2hbh, the pressure would be so much that Roger has to use slice to adjust the pace
Present vs Future
Fed the orginal vs Copy, attack of the clones.
lol
italkcrab Federer has a better backhand then dimitrov in every aspect
Also should copy the part where Fed wins...
Grigor the best!!!!!!!!!
fed does everything better than Dimitrov. Literally. Bh, Fh, serve, net play. Everything
Super!!!👍👍👍👏👏👏💪💪
No one can out Roger the Federer...
Dimitrov: allow me to introduce myself ;)
both is so alike.
I genuinely believe Roger came out of the womb with a 🎾 in this hand with a piece of string attached to it which led to a racket
Grigor seems to exert so much of a stretch at his bh wing but doesnt hit it far enough out wide or hard enough.
bravo fabio tes un grand 😘😘😘💪💪💪👄merci
Fed Senior vs baby Fed is always gonna be good to watch.
Now it's almost strange to see Fed play so far behind the baseline, even if at a super high level
Federer says "booyetsay" when he wins an important point - what's that mean?
So little to separate them at this level.
いや似すぎ
Fed Highlight: WInner
Dimitrov Highlight: Fed Unforced Error
Nice editing...
Why did you include so many unforced errors?
It u think like that berdych + dimitrov deserve at least one grand slam make like
two jedis going at it, lightsabers and all
Opposite display from dimitrov compared
To what he played in the us open.
Federer
On absolute god mode
The hype that grigor dimitrov is! Even Maria sharapova & Serena Williams bought into it! Well, you can copy fed but you can't be Fedex, period. Single handed BH guys can just take reference from him as much as they would from Becker, Stefan, Sampras & Stan And should develop their own style of playing
that's the most insane match that i've been ever seen
folks... he might have copied the style but not how federer feels the ball.
^this
Dimitrov content on practicing groundstrokes with Federer. But the great Federer says "screw you copycat", EAT MY CROSSCOURT, DOWN THE LINE AND VOLLEY WINNERS!!!
But you still know that it takes one "Federer " to defeat another
Roger never really got going in this match. You can see him shortening swings and attacking safe targets. Credit to dimitrov. He piled the pressure on. Federer is just on another level compared to him
The original is better than the copy.
The Master vs the young padawan
No les parece que dimitrov y federer tienen golpes parecidos, es decir que arman el golpe de forma similar?
Father and Son playing a Tennis match
haha well done grisho you show the old man who's the boss !
The court was fast. Now it looks almost as slow as clay
Never seen Federer lacking confidence while hitting passing shots. He was suppose to be the leader of passing shots, drawing conclusions from what he did during 2003-2007.
Nadal was always better from 2005-2014.
Dimitrovs bh is technically different compared to Feds. He even uses different grip.
Can someone please tell me what does Federer say instead of come on in 10:11?😭
11:11 this is how a grunt supposed to be, not some squeaky noises or annoying screams...
Dimitrov is still not good at footwork and some sophisticated techniques, even though his playing style is similar to Roger.
周函諒 why do you think his footwork is not good ??
I actually think dimitrovs footwork is very exaggerated. When the footwork gets exaggerated, the balance suffers as a result. That is why his strokes come off jerky most times
Ertugrul Körpinar by the way. There is a tennis WhatsApp group with very passionate tennis freaks. Would u like to join? Would love for u to participate
Please let me know RF what drugs do you use
o right yeah federer vs federer
This court was as fast as 2017! Why’d everybody talk about how 2017 courts were the fastest they’ve been since rebound ace courts, when this is just as fast? And why did people say this court was slow? I’m a massive fed fan but he lost to prime Djokovic, he didn’t lose because of the courts.
Cool Apple yes but this court is slow
@@ertugrulkorpinar51 Whats faster.AO or US open court?
Aleksa Teemo AO court is much faster than the US open court
@@Bojo29 Ah right. They sped up AO in 2017 massively and made balls lighter this year.Sorry brain fart.
MY STYLE
Why does it feel like Federer is playing with himself?( no, not like that), but they have the same playing-style.
Dimi can copy feds technique but can not copy feds perfect footwork
Video stops working @ 10:16
Ridiculous quality
From afar i cant tell who is federer
Tennis/ Miami
Miami tennis players
I have never seen so many unforced errors in a single match in my life.
