Well that's pretty much the entire premise of Paid in Exposure isn't it? You're literally paid in "exposure" by following the trend and all that. My guess is that other version of Nate is the future Nate, or even alternate future, when he's fully given into the industry standard and is now all banged up and wrecked. First, there is Paultins Necklace with the Ring that Evelyn gave him and a gear. You can see that he's wearing it, it's the same leather string.
Also, watch out for his Hairstyle. Did you ever notice that when he is on stage with the others, that his Hair looks different? It's more likely to fall flat face down instead of the more upstyle he normally has. That's also a wink to Paultin.
And last but not least, his body posture. It's also different, not really noticeable but it's there.

Okay so I know this song is about Paultin but I'm SUPER behind on DCA so I'm very concerned. Incredible as always, Nate! This gave me chills and I love it.
Heavy nods to paultin but not actually about him. Nate says this song is about a period of time where he had what one would call an out of body experience. He watched as "someone else" used his body to hurt his friends.

That is a good theory. I feel like the whole album is one big story about the rise and fall of fame so maybe the music videos are panting that picture for us to see.
I look at it like this Until The Wolfs Come Out is the beginning of a man having fun with his life and music and is discovered by fame and then we end with Bones a broken shell (No pun intended) of a man who has seen everything fame has to offer but also has seen the consequents of fame and is not himself anymore and is desperate to fix everything and to get life back to normal but sees that nothing will ever be normal again in the end. Well, that's just my take on it anyway.

It just seems like such a Nate thing to do
I love this song so much!!! It really reminds my of my struggle with OCD. Both the lyrics and the overall emotions just describe what I felt to a T. When the song came out I was hospitalised in a psychiatric ward (open butt still) and the song almost made me cry!!! It’s amazing hearing it now and realising how far I’ve come! Plus it’s based on Paultins experience with the ring of winter and he’s my favourite dca character!!!

Originally didnt like this song, upon relistening to the album and just letting it play, started to love it and now its my favorite on the album
The first time I heard this song I didn’t like it, but I kept listening to it over and over, because it was rather strange for me, and now I have the whole song memorized
God, I love this music video so much. It portrays Nate in such a vulnerable and broken manner so much so that we can truly tell that he is, indeed, a human that is broken and hurting like the rest of us. Truly a masterpiece. Well done.

This is one of my favourite songs, period. Love the Paultin inspiration very much. Even though the song isn't really about Paultin and was inspired by an out of body experience that Nate had, it still fits Paultin especially after the Ring of Winter Arc.
I love how this song made a trend out of Nate's two albums (a good trend), with both albums ending with a song so vastly different from the rest of the album (with Sandcastle Kingdoms being the last track of Sandcastle Kingdoms), it gives the album a whole new freshness and taste before sending it off. I love it!
I JUST NOTICED in the beginning when Nate is sitting on the ground in the room Nate is normal Nate like healthy but at the end he's the battered and bruised Nate that's all torn up and hopeless and that's what the video leaves his image as
I thought the beginning was Paultin when he found the Ring of Winter then the change in the middle was the ring taking control of him and the end was after the ring was taken away and he had to deal with everything the ring made him do.
3 1/2 years later and this is still my favorite of Nate's songs.
Anyone else notice how much he talks about mirrors in his songs? the ones I can think of off the top of my head are; Branded, Bones, and I'm pretty sure in Dream Alone too.

This has been my favourite song since the album came out, this is now one of my favourite music videos. It was so beautifully filmed and edited, Nate’s acting and facial expressions were so perfect. This is genuinely a truly amazing video and I’m so proud of Nate for how much he’s grown.
Words can't even begin to describe how amazing this is! The camera work is high quality, the lighting was perfect for all of the different Nathans in their environments, and the environment itself goes perfectly with the attitude of the song. Well done to everyone that was part of the production of this video. You all did a phenomenal job! 😍

I suggest the name of this Nate as Shell. He is the beaten shell of our beloved Nathan, the one that takes all the damage and blows from media and the one that takes the hits from when Nate isn’t himself. Shell is like...a protector. Nathan sees him in the mirror and sees how much hurt he feels and has caused, but Shell takes the bulk of it, therefore letting Nate continue on this journey. Nathan sees Shell, and he is his own worst enemy because some of it is from things he’s done(he admits). But for us, we don’t always see Shell. Which is the point. We see Nate. Because Shell protects him.

This song, in particular, is about his D&D character. Paultin got his mind controlled by the "Ring of Winter" and became the bad guy for a whole arc. His friend had to sneak up and cut off his finger with scissors to save him 😵☠☠
