The line that got me was “I feel so seen, and I can’t dream. Sleeping terrifies me, otherwise, I’m fine”. When my mental health is really bad I stop dreaming and I stop sleeping. I also say “I’m fine” far more than I probably should.
That bridge is fantastic, well written song and so underrated from them! I think notes is so criminally underrated, it's not a perfect album but danm it's so solid. This song is fantastic. They have that ability to write songs how the lead singer is feeling but also we all can relate to it and it shows we are not alone
literally this song remembers me of the quarantine in 2020. It was really difficult for me because I had to deal with my mental issues and couldn't run away from them. This song make me feel so much better and helped me calm down. Thanks forever

On top of how deeply layered this song is and the context of the lyrics there is something that has always stood out to me. It makes me drop what I'm doing and transport somewhere else. The piano at the beginning and end feel so 90s/millennium to me when I was a child. So maybe it's nostalgia biting me in addition to the beautiful composition. The song just feels like a warm hug from a loved one.

Every song on the album is a different feeling and an unique experience. Yet, with this visualizers, they seem even more connected to one another. I feel I'm finally undestanding why this 22 songs belong together. Matty is one clever guy.
