Komova was the best gymnast of her generation. She had high difficulty, perfect lines, effortless routines, just perfect. You just can't stop watching her. Queen of Queens

@@Julian___294 I wouldn’t say that. They were the best on the competition day. Mistakes aside, Viktoria was better. She just gave up and didn’t fight sometimes.
@@taylorburtis, that’s what I think too. She was also a little bit more consistent too.
@@myassisdraggan4732 I agree. I miss Mustafina and Komova!
@@taylorburtis, YES!!!! I wanted so badly for Aliya M to compete in Tokyo to try and win gold on UB for the 3rd consecutive Olympics but it didn’t work out. I think she’s gonna be a wonderful coach though!
Will forever miss Komova. Gymnastics needs someone like her, beautiful choreography, artistry, difficulty and grace
Vladislava Urazova is an amazing talented gymnast from Russia 🇷🇺 She reminds me Svetlana Boginskaya ( USSR)
@@1974ekn she can’t do the difficulty komova did
She was literally untouchable here. My fav gymnast of all time
I remember being there in person and watching her. She was in a completely different league from the rest, and had such effortless grace. We were all captivated and knew we were looking at someone great.
There’s just something so special about Komova
my god she was insane. 15 and doing amanars??! i can’t believe she doesn’t have the medals she deserves. she’s incredible, i live watching her. definitely part of my top 3

One of the best ever. Komova had everything; grace, elegance, power, flexibility. The full package. Still my favorite gymnast to this day. The 2012 Olympic AA champion, in my mind.
Except she didn’t hit when it counted. She’s the silver medalist, always will be. She would have won if she’d been able to stay completely mentally in the zone the whole time- and has admitted as such. She can still be proud.
@@saragrant9749 she might have lost gold and win silver, not delivering to her best when it was needed, but she´s definitely much better or beautiful to watch than Gabby (and Jordyn Weiber, who i really like) in many ways, except for mental endurance. Props to Gabby for being such a fighter and been able to succeed not in one but two OG
@@sumsumcorda8gabby is now trying to make it to her 3rd olympic
@@shfqqxx4479 i know! And im so happy for her. Although back in 2012 komova was my fav i love gaby :) and wish her nothing but the best. She seems to be a nice lady, often underrated.
This makes me want to cry. Komova was the best in the world, but she was so delicate. She lost confidence so quickly. I still think the 2011 worlds should have been here over Jordan.
Komova has that "old school" classic European ballet style like Podkopayeva. Beautiful form and lines and she moves like a Gazelle. She always had the X Factor since the first time I saw her.
She was almost like an upgraded version of Mostepanova. Sublime!
The crowd knew good when they saw it and these juniors I mean Komova is in a class of her own. Sad her Olympics went the way that it did. But she was she amazing.
Yes. Greeaatt!!!
Every crowd absolutely loves her! In this one you can notice it quite often they were cheering her hard for every moves!
The absolute goddess of gymnastics❤ Miss her soo much her routines were a breath of fresh air. Just seeing her compete is enough to make you smile❤
This was her year. Looked so confident. Although she had all the skills to win in London 2012, she needed the mindset.
She competed with ankles made of glass for all her competitions after 2010 tho...
Yeah, i feel pity for her perform at 2012, she didnt look so bright like in 2010. She lack of energy in 2012, she s just too young. I miss her

Those beam routines from Komova and Tan Sixin were truly special... Top difficulty with rhythm, style, incredible form and execution. I miss them both.
ikkk and her bar routines were incredible for her age
I grieve for her beam final results. She is one of the best beam workers that has ever lived and never got it together in finals. LOVE HER! The way she danced out of Arabians on beam...😳👀🙌😭💐
It's yet to born another gymnast like Komova, so elegant, swift, with beautiful lines and her own style in all four apparatus.
100%
The most amazing gymnastics human being that ever walked on this planet.Vika Komova : The HEART of us all.
I really loved Komova's technique, she just flowed from skill to skill in every event
It's just sad that she retired early in her career
Yeah, people always talk about her "balletic style", but imo what made Vika really special was her lightness, she always looked like she was flying and made everything look effortless...
She retired SO early! I thought she had another quad in her-at least if she really wanted it. She's a gorgeous gymnast! I love Russia's gymnasts! Korbut (who I consider better than Nadia in my book sorry), Bogie, Khorkie, Mustafina, Komova, Paseka...I could go on...
@@Janellabelle Korbut and Boginskaya weren't Russian, they were Belarusian.
Her only and major problem was psicological and emocional balance. Technically and phisically she was absolutely superior to any gymnast at her quad.
Then, the biggest problem for her wasn't her mental touhgness. It was the judges who "didn't want to see" that technically and phisically she was superior to any gymnast. Because even with errors from Komova they needed to inflate the scores of the official champions.
That Bhs Loso loso. Was just perfection
Olympic Channel Loves Victoria Komova allot!
Who cannot love her.
@@maussolo some usa comentors...
@@jw6105 Totally true!!
She was a gifted gymnast.
One of the VERY BEST the sport ever had
She is one of my favorite! So talented and elegant. Her performance in London was great, but I felt that she wasn't mentally prepared.
She had ankle surgery in March or April 2012 (not to mention her big ankle injury that prevented her to compete the first 7 months of 2011), and still came to London with ALL the upgrades ( Amanar, Fabrichnova on UB, Patterson on BB, and full floor difficulty)... Maybe she would have been more confident and consistent if she wasn't injured or sick all the time....
Oh my ! I never knew she had faced all that. She was much more strong than most of us think
She's a wonderful gymnast, it's nice to see her at her best.
In my heart she is the AA London 2012 Olympic Champion 😌
Beautiful gymnast who had the classic balletic style sorely lacking today
Sorely lacking ain't no joke my friend.
15!!? She is a rare talent for sure
Indeed. Just inconsistent sadly. Gorgeous gymnastics tho :(
Those were the Youth Olympics, all the athletes were so young, but she's so talented for sure.
No no, she is from Russia.
Right she looks 10!
@@FilipeCzech1986 even in Russia, her skills are rare. She was a true all arounder, a gold medal contender on every apparatus, and incredibly perfect when it came to execution. There hasn't been a gymnast like her, maybe Vika Listunova can come close if she stays healthy and calm.
Her bar & beam routine... iz phenomenal, js..... but on Floor!!!! ... she shines 🌞.... extra bright!!
My mouth dropped when she did the front flip
She’s a little cutie!! I love komova ❤️❤️. They love her, they were captivated by her. She had TALENT!!! I just feel she lost confidence. She should’ve felt that she was good enough or even better. Miss that cutie pie, and her chicken legs.
Such a true aquarius. It explains so much of her troubled, tragic and otherworldly persona. Explains her talent and desire for perfection and her natural tendency to be hard on herself more than anyone else. I miss her...I can't help be feel this sadness when I think of her. It suits her though, somehow.
Can you please elaborate? I loved your sensitive comment. What happened to her?
@@myhorseisadeer Ah, OK. Thankyou.
She rocked these olympics
That’s the best double tuck on floor I’ve ever seen
She is unreal. I love her
OMG
Even I'm 15 but i cant imagine myself doing this....hats off man✌
i miss her
everyone: look how amazing she is!
me: look at the number of barrettes she has in her hair jeez
Peak Komova? 🥰 The only skills in her repertoire missing here that I really loved are her double turn on beam and her Komova II.
this Amanar was so much cleaner than London`s. I believe she would have be en AA olympic champions vaulting like this in 2012.
She was also significantly taller in London (I'd say about 4-5 inches), and had 2 ankle surgeries in between YOG 2010 and London Olympics 2012 (one in spring 2011 and one in spring 2012). Just like Aliya, Vika's recovery for London was super impressive considering the AA program she brought back ( Amanar, Fabrichnova on UB, Patterson on BB, and full floor difficulty).
Even with her all around vault error she could win in London. Judges favoured Douglas and counted elements that didn't have the minimal requirements, like her switch ring leap on beam. It wasn't near to how It should be done.
She is amazing
So proud to say that we share the same birthday! Just 3 years apart.
I miss her :(
I don't care what they say, I love Vika!!
VIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Bravo Vika❤️
Komova is definitely one of the greatest of all time.
OMGGGG THANK YOU!! KOMOVA THE BEST!
this was definitely her peak. unfortunate for 2012
She is 26 anymore. Wow time flies 🥺
I still miss her. 2012 just wasn't her year.
It's only a step out.... not too many deductions from the judges on the vault.... she's is hella good!!!!
she was so sweet but also so strong!! amazing
If Viktoria cleanly hits all of her routines, she’s easily the top 3 gymnast in the D+E COPs.
My favorite 😍
They all in shock loved it
A melhor da década ❤️❤️❤️
I forgot how good her amanar was
I saw her one Instagram dancing and she's still exquisite.. i hope i wrote this good. Saludos desde Argentina.
You did. 👍🏽
Definitely deserved an Olympic gold
A QUEEN
I miss such graceful and feminine gymnasts
Russian Artistic Gymnast, Viktoria Komova is her best Triple Youth Olympic Champions.
Is it a hot take that I like the downgrading and consequential reduction in Amanars? In 2012 you HAD to have one to be competitive for AA gold. And it didn't look safe for many with how the knees wobble on impact, or some twisted it into the mat, and of course you have many ACL tears like Mustafina and Andrade
I feel bad for Tan Sixin, she definitely deserved the Bars title :( and even more cause she didn't make it to the London Olympics
Tan sixin was also such a phenomenal girl, sad she never got the recognition she deserved. Idk what is the problem with the Chinese juniors nowadays, they are probably the best in the world at junior level, but just fall apart as seniors. But Komova deserved the bars title here.
@@fortheloveofcats2462 I'm almost sure they had the same difficulty value, Tan definitely had some short handstands and those little deductions that add up but Komova hit her feet on the floor. As for the Chinese juniors, definitely, they shine at junior or at just turning senior level but then they get injured or burnout, such a shame so many talented girls don't reach the Olympic arena.
Hi! HoW are you?
It is the second Thursday of the new year. Seoul, Korea had a lot of snow, and the lowest temperature was -15'C. It is a very cold day. I hope this week will be a healthier/fierce day. ^O^
Saludos
Super
Queen!
She was robbed in Tokyo 2011 and London 2012...So sad!
Russia is the only country that produces athletes like her for gymnastics.
No other country matches the russian style.
The best one!
AA London 2012 true winner
Amazing!!
Just talent!
Yess, komova with 15 years was better than raisman on bars
So good and so elegant. She’s beautiful to watch. Americans are great but their super muscular stature just makes them looks like little boulders.
I am confused by the 0 point deductions with obvious issues. Is the youth olympics judged that differently? She is beautiful & and amazingly talented, I'm not saying she didn't deserve the medals. I am just curious.
Do you mean the "penalties" section on the scorecard? Because that section is dedicated solely to neutral deductions e.g. stepping out of bounds. None of her mistakes fell under that category, and thus all her deductions were factored into the execution score
She is awesome. Is she retired or going to the Olympics??
Retired since 2016
before Simone Biles, there was Viktoria Komova. its a shame she didnt quite achieve her full potential though
amazing!
She's the true AA champion IMO,,, I said it. 🤷♀️
Wow...
For a second I thought I heard the person say "Viktoria Mokova!" and I was like "excuse me?"
Eu amo essa puxada dela
I like her. How's she now? I had talked to her before in fb in like 2010???
Look at her IG!! She is beautiful as always, just more mature
She never had a Facebook lol
Also they probably pushed Komova too hard too young, and that's part of why she had so many injuries and didn't do well mentally.
just think if she wasn't half starved how much more fabulous she would/could have been. when she came back she looked so much better. healthy and strong.
We need to bring this kind of gymnastics, instead of gymnasts who try to imitate men's gymnastics 🤦♀️
Well actually I would say most of the men are way more artistic and stylish than the women.
She peaked too early.
nah, they peaked her too early. they made her train all those crazy difficult unnecessary skills and she burned out before the olympics
@@hannibaljustincase9985 that’s what the previous comment said
@@nathanielhalls1893 Their comment implied that it was in Vika's hands, while she was pushed by the coaches and Rusfed
@@hannibaljustincase9985 when people say a gymnast peaked too early, they usually are referring to the training by the coaches, not blaming the gymnast
