Plus, they have a retro sound, fitting with the theme of “Past”, and of Pearl and Marina went from being the idols of Splatoon 2, to bring one of the main Splatbands in Splatoon 3, why can’t the Chirpy Chips do the same in Splatoon 4?

don't forget anamanaguchi! a chiptune band who inspired Toby Fox, worked on Scott Pilgrim, and has lots of similarities! their album Endless Fantasy especially

Best Splatoon Band except maybe the Squid Sisters but somehow every song is a banger! I mean imo those are two top five Splatoon 1 songs, Two of the top 5 Splatoon 2 songs and two Top ten songs from Splat 3.

I think that, along with making a sort of wave effect on your vocals in editing would do it. ThomasGameDocs made a good video about how many of the voices in splatoon were made so I recommend you check that out for that sorta thing
that take is spicy lol. i kinda agree, but i think as you get used to no quarters without the gong and stuff you'll like it more. the vocal switchup in the chorus is especially satisfying (12:15), and the ascending synth directly after (12:19)-- where in the trailer harmony goes like✌️ -- is really good (although at that part i miss the trailer sfx for the little ding lol)
