@@Geektorian my thoughts on the Acolyte overall: I am glad the High Republic era finally got to come to life outside of the books. I know a game is being made but we have no real estimate as to when it’ll be released. I thought characters like Sol, Mae, Osha, Qimir and Jecki were interesting. Especially Qimir and Osha; one being a Jedi murdering menace and the other becoming the real acolyte. I very much approve of the martial arts and lightsaber choreography employed here as many bemoaned the sequels for lacking the umpf of those saber battles. That being said, true focus on the sith was lacking here. The attention on the jedi and their shortcomings siphoned away too much momentum. They had something going with Mae targeting the Jedi responsible for the loss of her home. But we don’t get to see how she met Qimir, her thoughts about him (or rather his mask persona). We don’t even get a vision or flashback as to how Qimir slipped into the darkside. Overall, the series to me isn’t as terrible as people made it out to seem, but it definitely needed more here. Two or three more episodes might’ve fixed some of the issues here. If this storyline gets continued, I’m not betting on a season 2. More likely a one off comic.
@@neofulcrum5013 Yes I mostly agree. The game you are referring to I think its Star Wars Eclipse and I heard they are still developing it. It got a huge delay and will be ready perhaps in 2026. That is if Disnney dosent cancel it over smth else. And yes the focus on Sith was lacking. Too much focus on the Jedi, Osha and Mae as well. I didnt hate the show just the way things were handled. Like they neglected details such as Ki Adi Mundi and other plot holes 😃 And yes probably season 2 or a comic should deffo focus on Plagueis and the sith more. And also how he starts using the force to "create life", cheat death and all that 🫡
Obviously hard to do, but great middle ability would have been he splits the lightsabers and dual wields...qimir also needs to have the saber sounds updated

@@Geektorianthat Plagueis cameo was good as well. Seems like he knows what his apprentice is up to. Doesn’t bode well for Qimir and Osha.
