Great reaction!!! Figured you would like that bass solo and the dual tapping, it's why I picked this one for you to react to. This wasn't actually the end of the show, but it was the end of the first encore. The main set consisted of around a dozen songs, ending with a song where every member took turns doing lead vocals (there was significance to that, I'll get into in a bit). They then came back out for a 3 or 4 song encore ending with this one. Then they went backstage and changed into the tour shirt as many Japanese bands are wont to do and came back out again for a second encore consisting of Dominator and Yozakura (both of which you've reacted to). Then they all came to the front of the stage and talked to the crowd. This was also the last show of the tour.
At the start you were wondering who Maki Oyama was, it wasn't clear if you had figured it out by the end but she was the guest vocalist. Aldious has had three full time singers, each of which ended up leaving for health related reasons. The singer from most if not all of the Aldious videos you reacted to previously was Re:NO who was lead vocalist from 2013-2018 and for many is the most iconic of their three vocalists. But she developed a rare ear condition that forced her to retire at the end of 2018 (although in the last year or two she has defied the medical community to performing - only on a very limited scale but she was never supposed to be able to perform again so anything is a miracle). She was eventually replaced full time by vocalist R!N at the end of 2019, but then of course the pandemic hit so R!N was only able to do very limited touring. This was going to be their first tour after the pandemic outbreak, but right before the tour began she suffered her own medical emergency brought on by stress and anxiety and split form the band). Maki was brought in as a last second emergency replacement to do the show. She filled in admirably and I believe has occasionally performed shows with them since but she has her own successful solo career so isn't necessarily looking to join Aldious full time. Unfortunately they've yet to find a permanent 4th vocalist.
This song was originally recorded when Re:NO was the vocalist and there is a live version on You Tube featuring her as well. I suspect there will be some fans who are upset I requested this version instead of that one. Hopefully if there are they don't give you any grief about that, after all the choice of version is on me not you. I ultimately went with this one though because Re:NO is the primary focal point of that other video - don't get me wrong, I think she's great (she's actually my favorite of the 3 Aldious vocalists) and that was a great performance of the song as well, but this song is really about the bassist Sawa (Sawa wrote it even) and I think this version does a much better job of putting Sawa front and center throughout the video. So that's why I went with this one.
    Thanks for the reaction!
Edited to add: You have seen Maki Oyama before in a video where she did guest vocals with Asterism.

It is so difficult to express how I am constantly amazed by Japanese female bands. It is not just their musicianship it is the way they behave and carry themselves on stage. Even though I am not a particular fan of Aldious, for me they are streets ahead of western female bands, in general.
As you have mentioned in the past, when a band sets a certain 'bar' on your channel, getting a high 8 or low 9, is increasingly difficult. As with this song, everything was as good as you expected, with the surprise from the bass and guitar duet, adding a few extra tenths to your score. 😎

Maki Oyama is a great solo singer.
Marina Has also left the band now, due to medical reasons, it's something she had surgery on before joining Aldious, and all seemed well, but it flared up again this year. So has left Aldious to look after her health, and just rest.

Duet between Toki and Sawa ala Paul Gilbert/Billy Sheehan....nice!

Awesome song and one of my favorites but this song is more enjoyable with Re:NO especially with Re:NO's stage energy live and Maki does have a great voice but she just isn't the voice for Aldious in my opinion. I love Maki Oyama's work as a solo artist and I really love the few songs she did with Fate Gear too

Agree 100% Maki is awesome, but no one can replace Re/No.. I think that is why I love them so much, So many bands with the generic rock voice, Re/No (in particular) and Rami and R!N (to a lesser extent) don't, it makes the music, for me, something different and very special

@grantnealon5101 Agree 100% with Re:NO, she is unique and different from everyone else in the scene and that makes her special and stand out. Don't get me wrong I love Maki but Maki just isn't the right voice for Aldious for me. On a side note, Rami is still my favorite of all Aldious vocalist and not only that but she's my favorite of any female vocalist but I still love Re:NO and know she's the voice of Aldious

I got major Motorhead vibes at the start. I prefer Re:No, but all their singers have been good.
