That was the year they slugged themselves into a Heavenly place!! The greatest CUBS team we ever saw. As a big CUB fan, I will cherish this special time forever.
Four big notables were: Anthony Rizzo's big-time home run clutch hitting, Jake Arietta's home run, Miguel Montero's Grand Slam in the NLCS, Javi Baez in the clutch and Addison Russell's Grand Slam in one of the World Series games in Cleveland.
Baez only 2 Home runs came in game 1 of the nlds and game 7 of the World Series. Dude started and ended the playoffs with a home run (until David Ross had the final HR)
2004 Red Sox were more memorable imo. I would probably put the '16 Cubs up with the '10 Giants and the '05 White Sox because no one really doubted the Cubs were a deadly team aswell as they broke a long drought like the aforementioned Giants in 2010 and the 2005 White Sox who were both favorites to win.
And now here we are,, Cub fans relentlessly ridicule Heyward, claim Baez is overrated, blame Ross exclusively for our current 34-53 record, and in general do nothing but complain and insult the last few players on the roster from our 2016 squad as if they never got us a world series win. Disappointing man
@@TaterChip91 are we playing bad though? Not really, we score within the first 3 innings most the time and then never can score in the late, our pitching is on/off, alot of injuries. Next year will be loads better if the cubs organization can keep the roster we have going. Contreras is a good anchor for the newer guys I don't want to see him go
@@Kurruptedwolf The problem with next year is I believe Happ and Contreras are going to be traded. I’m a cubs fan but unfortunately I think the cubs will be worse next year considering this.
It sucks that this dynasty had to end but they were falling apart. Even though Im a pure yankees fan from the heart birth to death I will still always miss this team

The amount of clutch hits from this team was unreal

can't wait to tell my kids about this. literally the greatest time to be a cubs fan. no other team will ever be as fun to watch

The best year of my life too brother. This team was amazing
Joe Buck’s call on the Montero grand slam will forever live in my head

greatest post season ever
Long live the 2016 Cubs...
Thank you forever...
GO CUBS NATION
That's cool to see all the Chicago Cubs home runs during the 2016 Major League Baseball postseason.

Arguably one of the best world series runs of all time.
That whole season and the playoffs and the world series was absolutely beyond comprehension.
Thank you for the memories. Probably the best World Series ever. 2nd to Reds vs Red Sox.
Yeahhh that 86 series was great too
The good ole days…don’t we miss them

@@Improudofyou99the cubs and red sox gotta be top 2 simply cuz the 0-3 and 1-3 comebacks
You cannot give Bryant the hanging breaking ball. That is his pitch 100% to smack the f out of
Hwoo nelly what a year ... so glad my Mom and Grandpa got to live to see it. Thanks for the upload dude.
One of the best playoff runs of all time!!! What a great season !
Happy birthday miggy!
I needed this right now
Corey Kluber was so good the whole series but they asked too much of him. The Indians were really rocking a three man rotation in the World Series.
It was that but also, you cant show the 2016 cubs the same arm more than twice before they eat them alive
I love that David Ross was the one to hit the last home run.
This video is almost 10 minutes- that's cool

the funnest team to watch in the playoffs in recent years
Ahhh I miss the good old times when we were good
Never gets old!!!
The pitcher home runs made the World Series home run even possible which is crazy because they don’t even hit anymore
Russel and montero do not get enough credit
Straight into my veins please
baez rizzo and bryant all in there prime and arrieta jeez
omg I have to watch Game 7 again from this 2016 ... I'm a diehard Cubbies guy but that WS Game 7 from 2001 is awesome too
nobody was beating that team in 16
The hell ever happened with addison Russell?
He was accused of abusing his wife, so the cubs released him in 2017
Japan
He sucked after 2016
