Props to Mina for holding back the spoils. The strained silence was palpable at times.
It never gets tiring seeing different people reacting to the Cocolia fight and hearing their reactions to the cutscenes and when the music starts kicking in. They really went all out with setting the fight up to be as epic as possible.
When you actually farm on Cocolia you can actually enjoy the music over and over again while farming

This is done on purpose, the music just syncs itself up to the blast. It makes for a sick moment though.
@@Temzilla2 The music is on a continuous loop, the only time it is programmed to sync is when you enter the battle with the glass shattering and when the song goes into phase 2 during Cocolias Dialogue. Leaving the battle on normal speed and timing it with your ultimate is the reason why you get these great moments but we didn’t notice it on our first play through because we we’re so enraptured in the boss fight. 👏😮💨
@@FederalFlavx Oh I assumed that the "blast" was the big burst that happens from the boss which is synced. I hadn't seen the video yet, but have seen this type of comment on any cocolia boss fight/stream moment.

@@Temzilla2 its definitely not. My game was able to sync up the beat drop with the first meteor drop. It was such a cool moment to see in a blind run.

Yeah Bronya just lost her mom and they're like "Oh no...Anyway." I just stared at my screen and was confused. THE GIRL JUST LOST HER MOM. READ THE ROOM.
Well tbf Cocolia was the equivalent of a religious nut/cultist leader that sacrificed her own people to a "God" just because she thought humans go be idiotic abd weak, when clearly the only weak one was herself for failing to not give into the voices like previous guardians or even Bronya did, which leads me to believe the Stelaron doesn't control you but instead tempts you, showing how weak willed Cocolia was to begin with.
Also, she gets Seele (which you can't convince me they weren't written to end up together 😂) so I wouldn't blame Bronya if she got over it rather quickly lol
I mean tbf bronya immediately after this lied to the populace and took her place as Supreme guardian unrightfully. She came away silky smooth compared to what coulda happened

Even if Cocolia was corrupted, it is implied that she loved Bronya sincerely and also gave her a good upbringing. To Bronya, she did not slay an evil that threatened the world, she had slain her own mother, and it was by her own choice.
@@VisualEnjoyer9756 apparently she aint exactly over her mom and still respects her as seen during the Museum management event. She still wants to paint Cocolia as a hero while hiding the truth. While Cocolia is insane during the last days of her life, it was still insensitive of March to be happy of winning while Bronya just watched her mom get annihilated in front of her. She wasnt even consoling Bronya. Cocolia was still important to Bronya despite everything that happend.
The music going "WE'VE MADE A CHOICE GO FIGHT AGAINST YOUR FATE" as Steele finishes Cocolia was epic, especially with the "FATE" being synchronized to the second hit of Ice-Breaking Light
Farming Cocolia's fight for mats in Echo of War gives the better drop, as if you play on regular speed the vocals kick in as she prepares to throw, and the drop hits when the attack lands. Makes the fight ten times cooler to rerun.

And YES Thank god someone addressed the fact that Bronya's mother literally exploded in front of her eyes and they are all like ''YEY everything is over'' I mean I get that they all have every reason to hate Cocolia but for the love of god the least they can do is to read Bronya's emotions and at least try to not seem like they are so cheerful after Cocolia's demise, that is just so disrespectful and none of them even ATTEMPTED to give her any kind of solace
I think that's just how the Astral Express crew is: they've seen crazy insane things that have happened like people dying in front of loved ones many times; they're numb to it at this point. Seele has just had a rough life, so death doesn't affect her much.

I mean, we arrive at a place that is supposed to be a thriving world and find a single city, the weight of human loss of life on any of the crew would already be big enough. And it’s important not to let 1 death be more than 400 thousand, or 400 thousand be more than 5 million
Stelle pretty much just joined the crew though. I wish we'd have the option to bonk her on the head or something to get her to shut up for doing that.

i think it has to do with march 7th's unhealthy coping mechanisms. it seems that any time she feels bad emotions she tries to cover it up with humor or forced positivity.

Oh man, I love that you're making fun of Cocolia's silly little move at around 09:30. I'm all for most of these scenes but like...what the heck was that? lol - Also, 100% go with Japanese voiceovers, they're pretty great. Don't sleep on the English VA though, Hoyo did an excellent job there as well and is one of the few times I'd argue going English is worth the trouble.
For those curious, the lyrics to Wildfire mirror the hardships of the people of Jarilo-VI and your experience in their story leading up to securing the Stelleron.
I'm normally pretty adamant against english dubs, but this game just hits the spot, the english dub is amazing 90% of the time, and I do prefer it over the japanese ones most of the time
The Cocolia fight in specific is absolutely amazing to experience it with the eng dubs, that "foundation of the new world" just gives me chills
That's just Cocolia being a cultured Jojo fans, doing a Jojo pose before summoning her stand (Engine of Creation)
When she went Herrscher of Ice form and used a Rimestar attack I'm like "WTF, whose are Ana's and Owl's!" It also proves how alike the Stellarons are to Honkai. They're basically a different form of manifestation for the same multiversal force. Which makes sense, since all these worlds are on the Imaginary Tree together. Question is whether the Aeons or the Emanators are on the level of Herrschers in general. Our characters are at least comparable to Vision Holders, power-wise.
From what I've aeons are absolutely far more powerful than any herrscher no questions asked. Emanators might be the herrscher equivalent in hsr
Aeons are definitely some of the most powerful beings ever in a hoyo game. They are basically cosmic entities on another scale. They are also more restricted and have less freedom due to being bound to their path. It is like they lack free will.

Aeons aren't even close. Besides, anyone can become an Aeon, and they can even be created by mortals.

I remember thinking Honkai Impact Chapter 8 was peak. It wasn't. Then i thought the next was also peak, it wasn't. Repeat that for like 7 or 8 times more. Belobog set the bar, I can't wait to see how they raise it even higher.

Think people are missing something. The stellarons act sort of like the ring from lord of the rings. Cocolia herself was not originally evil, in fact she was virtuous, kind, and good. The stellaron just "attacked" her in, her weakest moment, took her dreams and, twisted them for its own goal. In fact the memory where it explains her reasoning for pulling the military force to the fronlines fully was, cocolia having a brief moment of control again. She knew that having the military focus on protecting, the upper world would delay the stellarons corrosion even for abit. Plus after you beat her, the stellaron is actively trying to escae like HELL. Cocolia knew that would be bad, cause the thing was PISSED and, wanted to wipe the planet out right there. So her motherly instinct kicks in, creating a bubble around her, and that stellaron. Going "If I'm going to hell, you're coming with me fucker", and she smiles as she dies. Showing bronya she was proud of her, and ok with dieing. Cause she trusted the next generation would make things better.

To be fair, your Trailblazing team isn't here to get super wrapped up in the little emotions of it. Yes, you are bonding with the people here, but you still have a mission to finish. The time for grief can come later. But also, if it doesn't come at all, that is fair too because again, you are here on a mission. Imagine if Soldiers in real life paused the mission to cry with every victim.
A soldier wouldn't hang it there on a mission that lasts over 1000 hours without pausing even a bit, you know that? That would lead them to suicide or worse...

I'm kinda suprised by the Japanese voice over here. It seems so weak and emotionless compared to English voice over, which is surprising because it's the opposite in Genshin where English is cringe like 50% of the time (and 90% cringe if you include Paimon)
Honkai 3rd impact only has CN and JP dub while HSR introduce EN dub, so imo the JP dub direction are likely more correct than EN. The emotion they're going here are the feeling hopeless and frustation.

@@sorin_channel it makes sense since JP's dubbing team already has a history of directing of how to translate the original voice (CN dub) for Honkai games rather than the EN's dubbing team, simple as that.
