Love the gold finds. I found a gold ring January 2nd in a soccer field this year and the gold has dried up. Did find a 59 Rosie last weekend and a few silver rings since the beginning of the year. I am at 25 rings for the year so far. You guy’s ever found platinum? That’s on my checklist to find!

PSA for bill and Christine s gang if you are including foil in finds use gloves (I am one of the worst no glove offenders). But with the rise in fentanyl usage the foil could have residue on it. It takes a couple of hours on skin to absorb. So wash hands as soon as done with hunt to be safe.
Good morning, guys. Congratulations on the gold rings, Bill. I notice most rings of that type are bent, as if dropped and then stepped on. How are you straightening yours out?
I try and straighten them best I can with a metal ring measuring rod. The skull ring is a goner but I got the other one back into decent shape. I just slide it on and work it down gently several times moving it further down each time....
That makes sense. I think it is interesting that the worse field I ever went to with gopher holes and missing and uneven grass is the only place I ever was told I could not detect...lol

Nice hunt! Park Rangers would kick me out of the soccer fields and baseball fields pretty fast, they are off limits.
