    Past variations/models include the ANT751, ANT751E, ANT751R, and ANT751II (uppercase i i or Roman numeral II). The ANT75II had significantly higher UHF gain.

    I have the ANT752. It worked ok, 19 out of the 23 available channels it picked up. I took the from the front, element 4 and the next block, the phase lines and used it as an element. I removed element 4 and now element 5, and swap mounting locations. I used the aluminum wire to connect them to the VHF rear piece. This modification picked up another transmitter with four channels. The channels I picked up in the original configuration also improved by10%. It was a great experiment. Great video.

      Sounds like your modifications have worked out well, thanks for sharing your experience with this antenna, and for watching.👍

    I have bought this antenna 3 times now, for three different locations, I am always careful about aiming it in the direction of the most broadcast channel towers and I have always gotten a huge amount of free channels 30 to 50 channels. However the latest version made of two pieces, has those two wires that look like they are supposed to be attached by screws, in the directions it talks about attaching the phasing wires with nuts to the threaded studs, has anyone seen a good video on how this is supposed to be assembled ?

    So they made it smaller than the original model. Madde the boom in two pieces to make packaging smaller.
    The matching transformer on the larger RCA antenna I installed I taped it to the boom and routed down my mast. I really think having wires blowing in the wind is a bad idea and looks messy.

      Agreed. That's what I do. After drilling severance hole and a exit hile in the mast, I thread the RG 6 cable insite the mast then out to the tap in port ofvthe tv antenna. It truly does make the instellation much more neater and better looking.

    They need to have a folded dipole where antenna connects to for better performance like its Winegard version

    I was very disappointed when trying to assemble this thing. The manual and box didnt match in terms of pictures and diagrams for assembly. I decided to not even use the antenna. I am keeping the mounting bracket to use on the roof in conjunction with my amplified RV antenna. At least it wasn't a total loss. :)

      Yeah, I can see where the instructions can be a bit confusing. For the most part they’re OK, but I had to review a few details carefully a few times and fill in the blanks a bit too.

    I have this same Antenna installed on my roof for several years the 75volt connector ripped and I can't get the bolts off to replace it but the bolts that sit on the back of the phasing line on the middle VHF element come off easy will installing the new 75volt connector there instead make a difference ?

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  3 месяца назад

      I double-checked on this. That could work because those phasing lines are tied to the front UHF elements where the 75 ohm transformer is originally installed, but it’s not ideal. The back bolts may also be seized. If you’re going to go to the trouble of getting up on the roof to fix that you may want to think about getting a new antenna or at least fixing that correctly. Also, if you’re not capable of safely climbing the roof to do that please hire a professional.

      @@NorthcoasterHobby Just curious how u came to the conclusion that installing it on the back bolts may have a negative affect on reception I couldn't find any info on that. The reason I was up on the roof to begin with is I had to take the antenna down as my house was tented for termites at that point I already upgraded to the Range Xperts XPS-1500 Insane Gain Antenna I was just considering maybe install both antennas is all since the old antenna is still in almost perfect shape

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Pyro-01 I never said it would have a negative effect on reception, just that if you’re going to go to the trouble to fix it, you may as well do it correctly. It will still make contact with all the elements if you put it on the back bolts.
      If you have the insane gain antenna working, that’s great. I’m sure the old one is still useable though.

    You never mentioned anything about mounting it in the attic. Will the plywood and asphalt shingles diminish the signal much ?

    • @NorthcoasterHobby
      @NorthcoasterHobby  10 месяцев назад +1

      I test antennas as outdoor. Any building materials can certainly diminish signals badly (or block them altogether), especially metal roofing or siding. Foil-backed sheathing on walls or a roof can also significantly reduce the signal reaching the antenna. Installing an antenna outdoors is the best option in most situations.

    That antenna for me is damn near junk. Before i bought it though i swore it was going to be way better than my ge pro c shaped antenna. Everyone's place is going to be different so u don't know until you try. I wish there was a better way.
