Patricia, I think there us oñe essential thing you should always started off by explaining your audiences is this: " never run an empire on a throne of debts". I don't want to sounded poetic, but my deep observations, especially in a country that runs by credit scores. No one should should have over three times credits that their actual earnings. peopke should be thought that it's useless to have it all but owns nothing. No one owns something that they are actually paying on. The only timeone owns something, is when it all belongs to them. Excuse my English, sorry, not sorry.

Tabby i started with Robinhood initially. Didn’t make any big investments but started familiarizing myself with how it works, what kind of industries i was interested enough into to track and just tried to educate myself. You need a lot of cash flow though. As she said, you might loose it all. We are lucky since our combined income is 350k per year so we invest about 150k every year. The rest is for living expenses and tax. Unfortunately not everyone can have that much to invest yearly.

Lexa Karlyn yes! I feel you, I just invested for the first time! I scooped up an oil stock @ $2.10.... this week the price went to $18.75! I’m so excited about the future 😁😁
@@nsmith795 it can be a little confusing! Essentially UCO did a 25 to 1 reverse split, which means that if you owned 25 shares at $1 a share, you'd now only own 1 share at $25 dollars. Lets say you invested $1,050 dollars @ $2.10, or 500 shares, you still have the base amount invested, but you now only own I believe somewhere around 20 shares (if i did that math right?). You've likely lost money if you bought in at $2.10, as the example $1,050 dollars @ $2.10 is now only worth $540 ($26.80 x 20 shares). Take the amount of shares you owned before the split and divide by 25. Reverse stock splits tend to be a bad sign, because they are only done due to extreme weakness in a stock/ETF. UCO did a reverse split because if they didn't they'd be delisted from the exchange for trading under $1 dollar. In general, I'd steer clear from oil in this current environment, it's just a little risky right now. If you want to invest, I'd suggest a broad marker ETF (Vanguard, even ARK Invest if you wanted slightly more risk or tech exposure) or solid companies with winning records (think Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Visa). Hope this helped!

Miss K So Robinhood lets you choose what companies you would like to invest in, while Acorns is great too because it invests your money for you, it is more of a long term thing and they have something for a retirement fund. I would highly recommend both of them for beginners!

Very valuable information in your video. My first move was to purchase a home in 2015 in an area in my city that I felt was going to get renovated next. Long story short, my prediction came through and homes are worth 100k more to date from when I bought mine. Second, during this economic fallout from Covid, I've been buying just a few stocks at bargain prices (this is my first time owning stock). I'm going to watch some more of your videos before I decide if I want to rent out my house instead of selling.
visionarywatts - it depends if you want residual income from renting or some quick cash from selling. Renting means you have to be there for your tenants if something breaks or goes wrong and you have to be prepared if they can’t pay during a time such as this.

In 2020, everyone should be investing in something. A great start is your 401k, especially if your company offers a matching program. Outside of that, Patricia's right. Start by investing in yourself - i.e., capitalizing on your talents and skills - will help you acquire the coins necessary to invest in stocks, REITs, and real property. If your company offers a discounted stock purchase program (aka ESPPs), take advantage of that. Compound interest is REAL! I love these videos. Cousin Patricia keep them coming!!!

As the coronavirus downturn happened, she got super motivated and has been investing hand over fist as the market has dropped. She’s even thinking of changing jobs to become a real estate agent. I've been binging on this channel since last night! Originally coming from your beauty channel, I honestly cannot stop with this content. Extremely informative, well spoken and motivational. My childhood dream was to literally own a bank. I used to role play a financial consultant with my grandma and make her sign contracts (at the age of 6). No idea how that occurred in my child head :D Anyway, my dad has always been very outspoken with me about finance management - savings, spending and investment, so I've been very lucky in that respect. I started doing Economics and Business Economics, but I honestly despised it. Everything - my uni, teachers, competitiveness of peers. So this really turned off my spark. And when my dad started pushing me to learn more about making investments on my own - I wasn't into it anymore. Now, seeing you speak so passionately brought my desire and interest back. Have you been my accounting teacher - I'd never ever eveeeeeer quit in a million years. Long story short - I eventually switched studies, graduated my MSc in Political Science and now I'm working a job which I'm not very fond off. However, I'm reeeeally good with savings and have been thinking about creating additional revenue streams from my savings for a while. @@nsmith795 it can be a little confusing! Essentially UCO did a 25 to 1 reverse split, which means that if you owned 25 shares at $1 a share, you'd now only own 1 share at $25 dollars. Lets say you invested $1,050 dollars @ $2.10, or 500 shares, you still have the base amount invested, but you now only own I believe somewhere around 20 shares (if i did that math right?). You've likely lost money if you bought in at $2.10, as the example $1,050 dollars @ $2.10 is now only worth $540 ($26.80 x 20 shares). Take the amount of shares you owned before the split and divide by 25. Reverse stock splits tend to be a bad sign, because they are only done due to extreme weakness in a stock/ETF. UCO did a reverse split because if they didn't they'd be delisted from the exchange for trading under $1 dollar. In general, I'd steer clear from oil in this current environment, it's just a little risky right now. If you want to invest, I'd suggest a broad marker ETF (Vanguard, even ARK Invest if you wanted slightly more risk or tech exposure) or solid companies with winning records (think Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Visa). Miss K So Robinhood lets you choose what companies you would like to invest in, while Acorns is great too because it invests your money for you, it is more of a long term thing and they have something for a retirement fund. I would highly recommend both of them for beginners!

Very valuable information in your video. My first move was to purchase a home in 2015 in an area in my city that I felt was going to get renovated next. Long story short, my prediction came through and homes are worth 100k more to date from when I bought mine. Second, during this economic fallout from Covid, I've been buying just a few stocks at bargain prices (this is my first time owning stock). I'm going to watch some more of your videos before I decide if I want to rent out my house instead of selling.
visionarywatts - it depends if you want residual income from renting or some quick cash from selling. Renting means you have to be there for your tenants if something breaks or goes wrong and you have to be prepared if they can’t pay during a time such as this.

visionarywatts - no problem. There’s pros and cons to everything. I recommend waiting it out until everything is good, and we are back to “normal”. You’ll have enough time to weigh out your options.
When choosing tenants you can find ways to choose sensible tenants who won’t damage the property as much but still do your research whether now is a good time to sell or not

I started binge-watching a bunch of these videos today, and I just realised I haven't even seen 1 ad. Now it's perfectly fine to make money off videos, especially such useful/valuable content as this, but the idea that Patricia is literally taking the time to condense and communicate all of this life-enhancing information/advice to us for no real gain to herself is really outstanding. In 2020, everyone should be investing in something. A great start is your 401k, especially if your company offers a matching program. Outside of that, Patricia's right. Start by investing in yourself - i.e., capitalizing on your talents and skills - will help you acquire the coins necessary to invest in stocks, REITs, and real property. If your company offers a discounted stock purchase program (aka ESPPs), take advantage of that. Compound interest is REAL! I love these videos. Cousin Patricia keep them coming!!!

A year ago, after I had been trying to 10 years, I got my wife to say yes to opening up retirement and brokerage accounts for her. She was so surprised by all the money she was able to save up that she started asking more and more questions about investing. As the coronavirus downturn happened, she got super motivated and has been investing hand over fist as the market has dropped. She’s even thinking of changing jobs to become a real estate agent. I love it. It’s so helpful to have someone who is willing to build with you! As the prices of houses here tank, I wanna buy more properties. Excited about the next few years.

Great content, sounded like a friend of mine, but I'm not very sure about the market due to volatility and i'm more focused on short term and following a news about an investor who grew huge profit in few months, my question is, what strategies can i apply to make this from the current market?
There are good gains in the trading market with good research , i started using this strategy when the market crash begun and I've been able to to double the value of my portfolio to about $380,000 although i have been investing in the past few years i still needed the help of an investment expert because i feel trading requires a lot of research and grounded experience.

I've been binging on this channel since last night! Originally coming from your beauty channel, I honestly cannot stop with this content. Extremely informative, well spoken and motivational. My childhood dream was to literally own a bank. I used to role play a financial consultant with my grandma and make her sign contracts (at the age of 6). No idea how that occurred in my child head :D Anyway, my dad has always been very outspoken with me about finance management - savings, spending and investment, so I've been very lucky in that respect. I started doing Economics and Business Economics, but I honestly despised it. Everything - my uni, teachers, competitiveness of peers. So this really turned off my spark. And when my dad started pushing me to learn more about making investments on my own - I wasn't into it anymore. Now, seeing you speak so passionately brought my desire and interest back. Have you been my accounting teacher - I'd never ever eveeeeeer quit in a million years. Long story short - I eventually switched studies, graduated my MSc in Political Science and now I'm working a job which I'm not very fond off. However, I'm reeeeally good with savings and have been thinking about creating additional revenue streams from my savings for a while. I have to say - you really put me on to researching and learning how to do it Patricia! Thank you thank you! Keep up the amazing work
