Redman is under appreciated.
He’s in my top 10.
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
🤣 UNDER appreciated by who? He was HUGE 😆
Just to throw this out here. The East Coast is what made the hoodie a staple in todays worldwide culture. Likely due to it being colder up north than anywhere else. I say this being from the south because as a kid, wearing a hoodie, was for kids. Mom would yell "put your hood on" when you went out but we never did. It wasnt invogue in the 70's an 80's. East coast cats have always worn hoodies but i think it was more utility than style, which later morphed into style and that look took over the world.
I said this because i remember in 92 on TSU's campus. This one New York cat would always wear a hoodie and it would be like 65 degrees. So we called him redman because he looked like him wearing his hoodie from this video.
🙏🙏🙏
Yes! Finally! Probably my favourite Redman song. So hype! Also from this same album I recommend "Rated R" and "So Ruff". Also "How to Roll a Blunt" for some stoner lessons.
Betttt
Reggie Noble ✍️🎤👉🔥🔥🔥💯💪👍
great reaction episode 🎧😎🔥🔥💯💪
.........
🙏🙏🙏
You know you're goated when you gettin props 32 years later from young reviewers. His whole Whut Thee album is🔥 🔥🔥
🙏🙏🙏
Classic
Erick Sermon said he used the drums from the Humpty Dance to make this song surprised you caught that as fast as you did! Good ears 👂✌🏾CLASSIC!!!💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh wow that’s wild. I guess I am really hearing the music👏
Redman bro woo wee top 5 permanently 😮💨💯
You’re 100% right about The Humpty Dance sample in this song! Erick Sermon used The Humpty Dance samples in a lot of his songs
You are 100% wrong because there is no Humpty Dance sample in this song and Erick sermon didn't used Humpty Dance as a sample ever. Digital Underground used a lot of P-Funk samples like Parliament/Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins or Zapp and so did Erick Sermon and EPMD's "You Gots To Chill" is the first sort of G-Funk song ever (i mean with that funk bounce you hear in many west coast gangsta rap records).
Erick Sermon was known as the Funk Lord which means he was all about sampling funk records in his productions.
80년대 정말 많이 들었던 곡. Red man, EPMD 내가 최고로 좋아했던 힙합 아티스트들.
The majority of songs like this aren't directed at anyone speciffically, especially if the artist is an "MC". MC's take shots at whoever want it whether you exist or not.
🙏🙏🙏
This beat is so f**king HARD!
Redman with the BARS!
Also, Redman is Reginald "Reggie" Noble.
Keep crushing it!
🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥
Thanks for getting around to this one. I listen to Beastie Boys when they first came out but I was never in on rap. But when started heard this song I was hooked on rap.
But more specifically hard core rap that comes with this kind of energy. Many of the songs I’ve been suggesting all bring this type of energy.
🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAPPERS OF ALL TIME. CHECK OUT REDMAN " I CAN'T WAIT" AND" I'LL BE DAT"... FOR STARTERS.
👏💙
This song was nuts , Mike Tyson walked out to a few fights playing this
🔥🔥🔥
Reggie!!!!! Redman saved Def Jam at a time when the West was killing the game!!!!
Redman,
"Brick City Champion"
🔥
Betttt
CRASH! Oh yeah 🇬🇧❤️
Let’s goooo simonnn
The Tupac line was just a reference because Tupac was one of the main characters in the movie juice
You know where that "time for some action" sample come from right? You reacted to the song a while back.
Brilliant production move by Erick Sermon.
Still remember dropping the needle on this (opening track on the album) and losing it when that Cypress Hill sample comes on. I mean, THAT song was a big hit only a year or two before!
My isht!!! 🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏🤘🏽🤘🏽
There was no sneak dissing back in the day. They named names. The "in yo face era"...
Sometimes they didn't mention names like Kam's Pull Ya Hoe Card and Krayzie Bone's Ain't Said No Names
@FrankGrimes-l1b : Beinga first generation Hip Hopper and all. Those kids were late in the game when Easy gave them a shot.
Gotcha
The reason the JUICE verse worked so much is the movie was just in theaters. And Tupac Stardom was through the roof at the time.
lol I should've known by the look o your face that u was gonna rewind that back lol But yo, another classic song and another dope reaction!! Salute!
Hahaaaa
Good call on hearing that Humpty Dance beat in there
🤘🏽🤘🏽🙏🙏
Redman is an emcee... So most songs he just gets into his freestyle rhyme bag to solidify his position to the people and any emcee.
🙏🙏🔥🔥
We used to play this in the locker room before games!
Litttt
Perfect song
Another dope Redman track was - Redman - Smash Sumthin' (Alternate Version) (Official Music Video) ft. Adam F
Betttt
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
❤️🙏
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
It wasn't a diss! It was a compliment to Pac on the movie!👑
It was neither he was just making an analogy
I got the compliment part!! I was looking it up to see if it was a diss in general, not towards 2pac
Juice was a really good movie. Definitely should check it out👍
The soundtrack was crazy too! 💯
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Redman was that dude in 1992
🔥🔥🔥
This was not a diss record most records back in the day were not diss records, even if they mentioned somebody’s name, it was not a diss most of the time. There was a such thing as unity in hip-hop.
Always been a fan of his style, he's a little off! He's also hilarious in movies like How High.."stop, no don't ...no don't stop"!!! 😂
Dope reaction!
He wasn't dissing Tupac. It's just a metaphor.
I got that
The best Funk Doctor Spock track!!
🙏🙏🔥🔥
Da Goodness by Redman & Busta
He probably wasnt talking to anyone in particular. A lot of rappers back then had a battle rap approach in how they talked their shit and they were basically tslking to any and all rappers while talking to no one at the same time haha.
It was never actually personal it was just the competitive spirit thst drove most MC's had then, part of the braggadicio steez like let me make myself presence felt, let me make myself known.
Gotcha!!!!
No dis, just straight spittin. Check the list of Redman bangers I gave you in the other comments. I think I hit you with about 5 of em including this one.
🙏🙏🙏
Method Man & Redman feat Mally G - Dats Dat Shit
Redman has always played off his alter ego Reggie Noble/ Funk Doctor Spock. This is part of Stic. His adlibs and his doubles. This isn’t a diss, This is the first time a rapper is knowingly is Representing New Jersey and standing on it. But he has BARS and Presence and Character, that can’t be denied. Star in the making, and Eric knew it.
Check out KRS one why is That? There’s no video for it.
It was a reference to Tupac being in the movie Juice not necessarily a diss , but who knows 🤔
I know I got that!! I was looking it up to see if it was a diss song in general
"More juice than 2Pac" had a double meaning. If you dont know, 2Pac was in a movie called Juice.
yes i know!!!
Now react to my fave Redman song - Tonights Da Night
That was my first reaction of his
Eminems' favourite rapper. I listened to this whole album just a week ago, I love it.
This is a few years before LL dropped knock you out.
You might be right on the similarities between this and LL’s Knock you out sound.
Imma check the producers and mixers. Until you said something I was set to deny it because of your youth and you not in that era of music and feel(it was just Different).
But LL released in 1990 and Redman released in 92.
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
So many quibble about who's the greatest rapper...only real question is who's your favorite rapper. Reggie, all day, hands down, no question.
🔥🔥🔥
ITS A PLAY ON WORDS...2PAC WAS IN THE MOVIE JUICE...
🙏🙏🔥🔥
Don't over analyze every rap song bruh that wasn't a diss to tupac . It's acknowledging him and the movie he was in cause his character had the juice which in turn he's saying that he has more than that character.
@@ghostlee6434 I didn’t say it was a diss to Tupac. I literally referenced the Tupac movie. I just asked in general was it a diss. Don’t over analyze my words
@@ghostlee6434 and also it’s my reaction, I can over analyze whatever I want too respectfully.
