      More VRAM doesn't mean higher framerate btw. VRAM just reduces stutter for loading in textures. You need more VRAM if you wanna play on 4K because they have more pixel dense textures, but apart from that, VRAM wouldn't be a problem with recent GPUs. It might even cost you more to run with more VRAM because it needs more energy and AMD is not the best at energy efficiency. If you live in europe, those extra energy bills might make you invest in more energy effecient cards. But at the end of day it all just depends

      Vram doesnt matter if the gpu itself is weak, like saying 4060 is bad and a770 is good because it has 16gb. Reality is, vram matters in games where devs dont care about players and dont optimize their product.

    @MrKaiyooo 6 месяцев назад +1

    One extra factor is your current monitor. If you sank any money into a monitor with freesync then you will likely not get the same fidelity as a monitor with gsync if you have a nvidia. And vice versa.
    Lastly resolution. Amd may handle larger monitors and larger resolutions better. Ultra wide 2k may struggle on a card with less ram. Eventhough 2k is doable. You just have much more screen to load in the vram.
    And finally. Productivity. If your gpu is daster than a 1050 basic. It will do fine in cad. Only rendering may take a little longer but this is negligible since most people dont render 95% of the time or at all.

    If you're budgeting for a gaming PC and looking for the best price to performance ratio or $/fps, AMD takes the cake. AMD also wins in the gaming category even with worse ray tracing because a lot of games don't even take advantage of ray tracing/DLSS technology! If you're not playing games/have a monitor where you're actually going to see the benefits, it's really not worth buying into the markup. Unless your budget is limitless.
