After I would say maybe 2 years of doing research on youtube, this is prolly by far the best explained video I have seen. I've noticed RUclips's algorithm doesn't change much unlike TikTok but I will definitely be taking these tips and using them.

Thanks Annie! This is some solid information. I'm trying my best to learn the key ways to optimize for SEO, because my metrics are actually very good (10% CTR+ and 60-75% AVD on all my videos). I haven't really blown up yet even though it seems my content is good by RUclips's metrics, so my only explanation is I'm not telling Yt what my content is, not well enough anyways (although most of my content is being viewed from Browse so I must be doing something right).
If your videos are getting traffic from browse features that means they're performing well and RUclips is pushing them out. If your goal is to just suddenly blow up, you may want to rethink that goal because it doesn't happen overnight and definitely doesn't happen when you want it to. Your focus is better served on things like improving content, connecting with your audience and more long-term goals x

I’ve been starting to do more of this optimization and was growing so much in January and now February it is like a brick wall. Very disheartening but then I get comments from the people That do watch saying this is the best asmr video I’ve ever seen and it makes me glad that I am bringing joy to others even if small!
@@anniedube I was never looking at them for first few months. I started looking at them after watching content like yours to try to learn all this stuff better. Like I learned my audience is almost always online middle of day which I didn’t realize so scheduling my videos to drop at different times now. It’s been just over 3 months and my area is niche so I don’t expect super fast growth. But yes I have started trying To work with my analytics more now.
Hey Annie, how long does it take for RUclips analytics to catch up when you make changes to your RUclips videos through Tube Buddy? I changed about 30 videos (So far) so that they have better SEO keywords and descriptions in the last 24 hours. I see some small spikes on my overall channel views, but I'm not sure if that was just from me updating the videos or from YT finding me views. I think in an older video, you said "About a week". Hope that still holds true. - Trevor.
@@anniedube yeahh Some videos get recommended to tons of people the second they are uploaded/edited Most of them are trending videos like What is on my iPhone or unboxing my iPhone or Weeb Vlog or Starting a New Journal etc.
