Also in regards to the Russian nesting dolls (Matryoshka), I feel like they're not very popular anymore, but I have a large thriving collection of them myself. My great grandparents collected them, as they were knickknack lovers like I am now, and they passed on several to me, and I have continued the collections since. They may be my most cherished possessions. 💗🪆

Matryoshka dolls are what they are called but are often referred to as Russian nesting dolls. I love that they added the detail to make it real where you can store them inside each other, instead of making it a solid figure. The clockwork one has a different face because its supposed to look metal, back in like the 60s maybe they used to make toys out of tin like this and I think some had little bikes with them too.

Bunny, seeing some of these figures it takes me back to the 60's toys like jack in the box, and the monkey with the bass drum. nesting blocks and so on. I was thinking that i would take a look at some toys made in the 50, and 60's because we had some really neat toys that were before their time. my brother was born in 1954 he had the neatest toys he had a toy called Astro Base and it did really cool things i loved it. then he had one call Vaccum Forms you would have loved it also you would put this special plastic film in it and flipped it over on a mold and it would reproduce a duplicate. I think it is still in the attic have to try and check.

I don't know if you had the same thing over in the US, but I had a Tyco 'Fashion Magic' clay jewellery kit in the 90s - mine was sea-themed and came with sea shell moulds and starfish and things like that. 😊👍 You also got a bag of mica powder to make things pearlescent. Weirdly, I can't find much about it online!
