They feel like how the industry kinda looked at aputure a few years ago, creators love them, bigger sets didn’t know what they were at first, but they have some killer fixtures !
Food for thought... "Shotgun" mics like the 416 or your new 600 should really only be used outdoors. For indoor setups, hypercardioid or supercardioid pencil mics are the more advisable way to go. I use a modified Oktava mk012 (cheap thrills), but Sennheiser, Audio Technica, DPA, and others make solid options for pencil mics. Love the channel... Glad to see you moving to the RED system.
That's true. The longer interference tube tends to bounce the sound. However the 416 still does sound goo indoors if that's what you got. I like the Sennheiser MKH 50 for a lot of my indoor sound.
Thanks for making videos like these! Your channel inspires me, and I really appreciate you taking the time to teach other filmmakers. I’d be thrilled to have a part two to this whenever you get the chance!
Thx for all the great info. I conducted a two-camera interview for one of my wife's college projects back in the day. I was told that the cameras should be at eye level for the subject and noticed yours are not. Is this ok?
With the new Venice Burano coming out.. we might get a more affordable Venice to match with our FX3/6 cams! Have you heard about the new Sony Burano being announced Sept 12th?🎉😮🎉😊
Yes I did! I had it for one specific client shooting their RUclips stuff but also had an FX6, so when that contract ended, I didn’t need both and sold one👍🏾
I’ve got an issue. I’m shooting with a Sony a7siii as my a cam and a Sony a7iii as my b cam. I can’t get the audio to sync up at all with these 2. I’m using the clap method and I’ve used this in the past with other cameras. For some reason these 2 just will not sync. One drifts away from the other within 10 seconds. One thing that’s weird is the a7iii sets to 24 fps but the a7siii only has the option for 25 fps. I thought that was really weird because I’ve only seen 24 fps. Is this is problem? What can I do to fix that when the only option is 25 fps on the a7siii?
If your next video isn't about how you "lost" your 416 I'm gonna be disappointed. Poker game? Lawn dart replacement? Sent it aloft on a balloon to get atmospheric wind sound? So curious.
As someone who does a lot of two-camera interview shoots solo, I love this video. Please keep any and all multicamera-shoot videos coming!
Absolutely! Will do!
Kofi, that was a well thought out video. Nicely shot and edited. A part 2 would be welcomed.
Thanks ! Will try!
Nanlite/Nanlux been killing the game lately. Love their units.

Def want to learn more about color matching using the grey card/color card. I don't ever use them so I am doing everything from scratch 😕
I have one on matching Sony cameras ! Might help !
Ok cool I will look for it!@@KofiYeboah

You can break rules for narrative reasons, but that’s a safe system to go by at eye legel
@@KofiYeboah thanks again!
Excellent video and explanation. Appreciate your hard work.
Ps: Saw your collab with Cam and Terry. More of those please 🙏
Thank you man!
Yes! A lot more soon !
Really good and intuitive breakdown on the subject. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome !
your videos are really good and high level quality plus professional editing 🙌
Thank you so much!!
Hey Kofi, how are you liking the X, and are you working hard in post to match the FX30 to it?
It’s great! It’s not bad but I know resolvd pretty well
Love the tips. Bring on part 2!
Coming soon!

Wait was that two tone sound also coming from the slider or was it just the humm of the motors
That’s the motor from the slider 😅
Lmfao that’s wild, that’s a super design flaw, get a muffler on that thing
@@joshpassaretti5408 when it’s away from camera it’s almost unnoticeable, but if I’m beside it , it’s def something I hope they fix
Can we use only the Slider from left to right and lock the pan and don't use it? Thanks :)
You can, yes!
Great video
Didn’t you have the FX3 at some point?
If so, what made you get rid of it and get the FX30?
Yes I did! I had it for one specific client shooting their RUclips stuff but also had an FX6, so when that contract ended, I didn’t need both and sold one👍🏾
The gap between selling that and the fx30 was pretty wide so I wouldn’t say I left one for the other *
@@KofiYeboah I own both the FX6 and the FX3. Not ready to leave any of them anytime soon! LOL (Love the Komodo X though)
Thanks! Is there a way I can contact you privately for a few camera questions?
Yes, send me an email 📧 kythecreative@gmail.com
@@KofiYeboah I sent an email with a question. Just wanted to let you know. Thank you again.
Hi , which lense do you use with your Komodo X ?
The 35RF and 15-35 RF in this video!
Bruh your B cam is my A cam 😂😂😂 my B cam is a Canon SL3 purely by happenstance
Awsome video !!
Thanks !!!
Hahah everytime I hear or say in the next episode of... I always say Dragon Ball Z in my head hahaha! Guess i'm not the only one
Lol in my eyes that’s the only answer
@@KofiYeboah Yeah haha
Solid video
Thanks !!😁
uhhhh, why was there such a huge difference in fx30 vs red? is that the fx30 at 4k?
Tbf one cameras 10k ones 2😅
Might have some mislabeling at the 2:40 mark?
Yup! Sorry !

Have you tried setting both cameras to ntsc ?
Can I borrow your slider?😅
Ahah use the link in my bio 😉

😅 not that exciting , lost it on set
Film ur next vid in the tram or I’ll unsub
lol don’t threaten me with a good time
Is this more of an informecial video ?
It’s a video on how to use 2 cameras in an interview by yourself 😅
@@KofiYeboah That too. But...
🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ due respect everyone has a way of how they make videos, this one’s mine ☺️
respect! but please speak more slowly! you are too excited!
Sorry for that
