The car was totally not what I expected, pulled hard, felt more agile on the road and actually weights less than you think!

I'd say this is more 250-260hp with the mods needs vxr injectors vxr MAF and vxr turbo to get near that 300 mark 😎

Im building mine atm. Z19DTH, love my bus. Can carry 7 people comfortably all over the country, cheap and quicker than i expected it to be.
Just started but plans are....
Front mount intercooler.
Big injectors and fuel pump
2260 hybrid turbo.
Cold air feed.
Full stainless 2.5 system. (decat and DPF delete)
Remap.
Uprated gearbox and solid flywheel conversion.
Coilovers all the way around, drop it 50mm
Brembo 4 pots on 328mm slotted rotors.
OPC body kit and spoiler, honeycomb grille and projector lamps
Aiming for 280/300 hp. Around 450 ft-Ibs projected, diesel power ;).
So many memories of my dads boost bus. They're somehow quite cool, not many people would agree. But why wouldn't you like a 200+BHP 7 seater

197bhp as standard. Not 189. But still a monster. Mines running 260 and Audi boys get there ass handed to them. Handles really well for a bus as chassis is the same as the Lotus developed astra gsi. At 1500kg weighs less than most new family cars.

I almost had a head on crash with a twat driving one of these .He was driving fast around a blind bend then suddenly spotted the backed up stationary traffic and panick braked skidded and to avoid crashing into the stopped traffic he had to swerve into on coming traffic .lucky for him I was driving and heard his tyres locking up and skidding and i braked before I saw him .anyone one else would have had a head on with him and could have died .someone went into the back of my car as a result of this fool and me trying to avoid the head on .

Never understood this to be honest just because you have kids why should it even be an option to give up modifying cars?
Shouldn’t even be brought up to be honest its good having the kids into cars at a young age and building the car with your kids its a story and creating memories so if anything theres more of a reason to modify cars when you have children.
In our house we got the only modified Turbo blue zafira vxr (rep) in the country (mrs car) and a 2.0 turbo a4 currently going stage 2+ and are kids flipping love it and wouldn’t expect us to have a standard car.
Lots of people do though don’t they Ricky. How often do you see half arsed projects or people selling up soon as find out the Mrs is pregnant.
My little boy loves modded cars to. He’s fairly handy with spanner now too.

CJK20 Yeah i think the people that sell up na re missing out on missed memories and opportunities ain’t they, fair play mate sounds like he’s a natural me and couple of the kids are fitting some lowering springs on the mrs zafira at the weekend (ones snapped) then we got an airtec fmic to fit in my audi and a 034 sports cat so we got some work to do and I wouldn’t want to do it without them the better they get the more useful they are as well lol

20 mins after the video was complete he had to replace crack seals valve stem seals rocker cover seal and any other oil related seal hehehe

Z and c20lets are reliable. If your asking about reliability of these then you shouldnt be near a car. These are quite legendary in the tuning scene the world over...

i have seen at the beginning of this video that that the turbo is a stock turbo from zafira gsi, not an z20leh turbo. is it right? the wastegate seems to be an z20let
It's got a vxr turbo on it mate I replaced the one that was on it in the video and it was also a vxr one

I’d say that is way off 285bhp. Maybe 240bhp
This hasn’t been dynod so you could be right. Sounds like it needs VXR turbo + MAF to make near this. Have to see what numbers she makes Liam. This was road mapped and it’s what the mapper estimated her to be :)
CJK20 I had gathered that the road side mapper had done it and not a proper dyno place. I have a ZafiraVXR running 266bhp and was told it was 285bhp had receipt from roadside mapper with figures on. Took it to a dyno and found out it was no where near 285 lol thanks for your reply
No worries mate, after reading the comments the owners going to get it dyno’d to see what she rolls etc.
I can’t change the video now haha so I’ll have to explain to people if they bring it up that we believed it to be that!
I have a zafira gsi and to get past 270 bhp. U will need the bigger vxr injectors and maf. U will need the vxr turbo to get past 260bhp. Mines is running 260 bhp and 300lbf torque. Really struggles to put power down even on decent bridgestone potenza tyres.
Paul Mcdade hey mate, yeah I think we’ve realised the road mapper quoted way out. Owner is now doing all the above the VXR turbo etc and will be visiting Courtenay sports

You can't get 285bhp from the standard turbo on the zafira gsi
I agree upon checking it did actually have a VXR turbo he didn’t know was on there mate
@@CJK20 also found that it has vxr injectors on it to so when it was mapped it had the vxr turbo and injectors spoken to the bloke who mapped it and I have the same map as him but he has the bigger maf and his was dynod at over 300bhp

@K2weapon: i don't agree with you. too much people are thinking that the gsi turbo is a shit, juste tell you it's a k04 too. You get more hp by changing tophat 60mm and powerpipe 60mm than changing the turbo for a vxr one. The same when you put off the all standart air box.

Sorry but the Safira GSi & VXR are pointless vehicles. They shouldn't exist.. I bet even the stock versions power understeer like shopping trolleys and get through suspension components and tyres very quickly.

@@Steve-Quinn-YC-GaSC it bogged out when it came out the junction because the traction control kicked in and muppet you say I will race you in it and we shall see how slow it is when all you can see is my tail lights and like I said it's meant to be 285bhp not its definitely 285bhp as I haven't had it dynod but it was running vxr turbo plus the remaps it had by roadside mapped so can only go by what I was told like I also said

I have proof of 340whp with my car but its soon to be 350 once the stainless steel tubular turbo manifold is installed and dont need to proove anything by carrying my dyno sheet with me. The car speaks for itself. But theres always someone out there that likes to think they know about a car they dont drive.
