I used to be more on the side of Halo 2, since that was the first one I played, and it's fucking great, but eventually Halo 3 overtook it for me as my favorite. It's just so damn good. I'm glad you can still hop on it and find games for it to this day, and the custom game browser having Halo 3 customs running 24/7 is dope as hell. I really hope one day Halo 3 pops off again, or we get a spiritual sequel of some kind, either from 343 themselves, or some indie dev out there. Also, shoutouts to the Worm. Hope he's doing ok.
I bought an Xbox 360 used on Craigslist back in 2008. The seller gave me all of his games too. Halo 3 was easily the one I played the most. I miss those days. Halo 3 is the GOAT.
I'm 30 now and the best part of growing up during the early days of the 360 was no party chat nowadays it's everyone in a party and there is minimal interaction with those outside of your friend group where in prime H3 Cod 4 days you were forced to interact with those you were gaming with and sure it made for some toxic moments but I still game with some people I met on H3 and Cod 17 years ago
The reason it was such a special time was that Bungie reinvented everything, and they made modern gaming staples. VoIP in online games was popularized by Bungie.
I would argue that of all Halo games, Halo 2 and 3 were the most similar and even though I haven't played a ton of Halo 2 it would seem to me that Halo 3 kept most of what made Halo 2 great and improved on it, taking it to the next console generation thus being a monster of a package 😊
naa ur right, new multiplayer games are trash. only good in their golden era. then instantly turned into skill based matchmaking-fests that are unplayable solo for a good player. construct is undeniable trash lol. needs some teleporters and more poweer weapons for the bottom spawns. and just needs a layout change too.
Halo 3 was the absolute peak of gaming, from the campaign to the casual and mlg multiplayer... I will never see another midnight release like that... :')

I've been playing the 360 version of Halo 3 on Xbox 360, thanks to the modding community the online multiplayer aspect of the game has returned, its called (Project Sunrise) they did the same thing with og Halo Reach.
I'm so glad this game is still alive haha I just got it this week and I've been having a blast. Even though I'm absolutely ass now 😂 also, I felt you on your spiel about the ye Olde social aspect to multiplayer gaming smh
If halo 3 had hit scan it would have been better I prefer halo 2 br over halo 3 br due to the hit registration and blood shots, did not like the fact that you have to lead your shots and get a lot of blood shots and bullets not registering
lol Infinite is not live service. No game that claims to release as a live service is a live service game. For example: CoD, Battlefield, Overwatch, Halo, hell even League of Legends has known to not give a shit about what players want but what makes people focus on "needing" skins. The only real live service games are MMORPG's
@@JoshFrost-c4i I play on PC since I bought the collection on Steam back on the PC launch in 2019. I prefer playing FPS with KB/M over a controller but in the past 6 months there's been a large influx of cheaters in MCC.
