I tip my hat to you, sir. You've done more for my understanding of the concepts with one video than a university teacher in three years.
Thank you for explaining how to run regression in SPSS in such a simple-to-understand manner!
Definitely one of the most helpful videos on this topic around- good work and thanks a bunch! :)

you are amazing ,i enjoyed it ...thanks
Thanks. Good explanation.
Sir really you're very superb ....😍😍 great explanation ...
Thanks for nice explanation
Hi, appreciate for all the tutorial videos, they are amazing. I have some questions, what if I have several independent variables/predictors; then some of them have linear relationship with the dependent variable, and some of them have curvelinear relationships. In the end, am I able to create a prediction model by using multiple regression by combining these predictors?
Thank you very much Sir!!!
Extremely helpful video... Any minitabs in the future?
Very good ,Thank you !
Thank you so much, sir
Love your lecture. Question. How do I add moderating factors which affect IQ and study time on their infuence GPA?
Thank u so much for easy and understandable explanation..
Kindly make videos for categorical, ordinal and nominal variables logistic rgeression analysis and what are the difference between variate, linear and multinominal etc.
and how to conduct and write results.
Thnx in adv
@statisticsfun great video, really clear. Quick question, I ran the analyse with 4 independent varies and 1 dependent, interestingly 3 of my variables were in a seperate table 'Excluded Variables'. Is this likely a result of a 0.998 R Square between 1 of my independent variables and the dependent variables? Thanks
Thank you for the great video. Would you please also suggest me, if I have more than 1 DV still can I use Multiple Linear Regression? Thanks in advance.
so so useful. tanks a lot.
and may God Bless you as well. Good luck on your exams!
thank you you are saving my assignment
Interesting. I was just using this as an example. I do believe the resource materials for university students are bad as well; hence, MyBookSucks - "Part More Study Less."
In the end I hope to provide a good alternative for students textbooks and university lectures.
you are incredible
thank you, explaination is easily understood. Question, what if I have a simple regression model that has low R? is it still a valid model? thank you for your reply
Thanks David, It is indeed very helpful :)
I have a query - How to formulate the regression equation ? In SPSS output, I have got a negative sign against constant and the Significance is > 0.05 should I include it in the regression equation? Also, which predictors should be part of regression equation? how to identify which X is impacting Y more or least in multiple regression output of SPSS.
There are a variety of ways to do this. The easiest is to estimate the missing data value of 1997. You could take the average of 1996 and 1998 as an example. I did an internet search, "missing data regression" and found some interesting articles.
thank you for the simple explanation. A small question: why do we have that variables entered or removed table? Is it present in simple regression as well?
Thank you so much sir
woww..nicee work
Appreciated!
Thank you sir
Thank you so much
Dear Sir, Could you please explain GAM (Generalized linear Model ) in with simple example like MLR. Your way of explanation is awesome. Any body could learn MLR. Thankyou for this Video.
Thank you so very much!
Veronica Clipsham You are very welcome. Hopefully, you will get a chance to like and share the videos and like the MyBookSucks FB page (www.FaceBook.Com/PartyMoreStudyLess). This will help others find the videos. Good luck in your classes too.
Hi... I am Mönica, thank you for your video. I have a question, how can separate and creat diferent models in spss based on a variable, for example if I wanna predict the sales for each saler, how can I do that per each seler in spss?
Any chance you'll make tutorials for SAS? It seems like the graduate programs at my school vary which one they use, with Psychology using SPSS and Education preferring SAS!
This is helpful. I am still looking for formulae to calculate coefficients when there are many predictors (say; 7 independent variables). Can you please, Help. not with software but with mathematical calculation?
Excellent
Would you have any tutorials on creating a dummy reference group in a multiple linear regression
Hi, I really admire your explanation of things in such a simple way. However, I have a question: do you have any video executing and explaining PCA-MLR on environmental pollution data in SPSS? I can conduct PCA to find out pollutants emission sources qualitatively, however don't know how to run MLR on the output of PCA to estimate the %age of every source contributing those pollutants. Please let me know if you can run PCA-MLR on environmental data (probably I can provide the data).
Thanks!
so good
This is great! Thank you for making regression so easy to follow. My question is how do you run the regression when the independent variables are measured by more than one item in a questionnaire?
Hi, what did you do with it? How did you load it in spss?
Is it: Transform > Computer Variables > then manually inputted the questions of the factors? To get the mean?
Hi! Is it possible to do regression using an independent variable with 7 units and a dependent variable with 20 units? Or should both variables have the same number of units?
Could you post a video on how to understand the SPSS outputs? For example, which boxes tell us what, what to look out for to know what analysis has been performed. (Exam help) thanx
:-)
man may you help on smoothing data on large sample as it scatters out side and i found no valuable rule to spread the scattered data in a 5 point scale should i show assumed ranges up and below with values o and use (0+1st val+2nd Val)/3 and show it as it is in my study or.......!
Thank you
Very helpful, but what about the "stepwise" method? is it better??
nice sir give more on regression
I need to analyse the factors affecting cost of a disease. Do I need to log transform my cost data?
That is an interesting question. The short answer is yes you can built a regression model with some independent variables linear and some curvilinear. I would encourage you to break up your data into smaller parts perhaps 4 parts (25% of your observations in each data set). Now you could build a regression model to see the differences. Make sense?
Dear sir
I am wondering if you can help me in this issue
I need to develop a model using a linear regression based on experimental data
The prospected model contain three independent variables (Q, T, P) and one dependent variable (S)
However i need to develop the model in this form
S= B0 + B1 Q + B2 T + B3 P + B4 QT + B5 QP + B6 TP
I just want to confirm that i have the set of experimental data and i have learnt who to develop linear regression model in spss
However i need to form my model in the above form which contains the impact of each individual independent variable including the impact of a pair of these independent variables
Please let me know if you have idea or any tips to go through resolving the s concern
Thank you
Mudhar
good lession
first of all sir i appreciate your work, you done a great job related to spss videos.
but sir i have a problem related model 4.i have done my all work and done regression through spss process file.but didnt know how to interpret it and
how to write conclusion.
also mention i have indep var (a.c) mediator (j.e) and dep variable (ocb) and how to take linear regressionof this.
plz help me solve my issue.
I know this response is much later but to interpret your regression it is the difference in your dependent variable by one unit within your independent variable. So for one unit increase in the dependent variable (insert result from ExpB on regression table; make sure to insert whether it is negative or positive ) there is a predicted increase in the independent variable.
considering biological data, I would like to know how to performe adjusted OR using covariables such as Age, BMI.. in linear regression with SPSS?
