No matter how good a fisherman you are , the most important tackle item especially in this country is clothing, we all like nice pieces of kit whether it be top of range reels and rods etc. But above all regardless of what level of fisher you are keeping warm and dry is the priority 😉.
Normally I would dismiss spending even half of that on a jacket but my second cheap and cheerful Airflo jacket has just burst down the seam of my casting arm just as the first one did. So perhaps if I had bought an expensive jacket in the first place I would not now be looking for a third jacket in four years.
I think, the SST is not so waterproof like the River Salt because the River Salt ist Polyester and the SST is only Nylon...with the SST you get wet in rainy days

Agreed, fishing is not nearly as much fun when you are soaked to the skin and freezing ;-)

I think the phrase you get what you pay for is more often or not true pal.
Very nice jacket. Looks like it might be good for my fly fishing trip to Scotland (if they ever let us Texans into the country).
I was very impressed with it, you might be able to pick it up for less in the US.
No such thing as bad weather its in adequate clothing :-), i use Patagonia waders and boots and cant complain 1 bit
I had a set of the waders they lasted five years and two more after a visit to Diver Dave's. Quality!

I am still wearing it to this day in pretty bad weather. It’s still keeping me dry.
