This is one of those gimmick "techniques" that rare;ly serves a practical application while risking damaging your side stand through torque which it is not designed to handle, even worse of it has a stand sensor and prevents it being started after you damage it.
I have a Ducati Multistrada V4S (not a light bike) and I do that all the time inside the garage. I've done it with all my bikes and never had a single problem. I've witnessed the designer of the Ducati DesertX in Italy doing exactly the same thing. It's not the only way to do it, so plenty of alternative methods.
this is a very useful gimmick and side stands are designed to handle it lol. they are designed to take more than the weight of the bike. they are made with the weight of the rider sitting on the bike w the side stand out in mind, in addition to the weight of the leaned over bike.
I just love seeing you using the Ibex. Just like mine. I have a question on your tires. I think I'm getting the Enduro E 7. I'm wondering how they are on the highway. And milage.
Wouldn't this stress the sudestand contact point on the bike leading to damage to the bike at thst point? I mean you are putting the entire weight of the bike on a small area. Done too often, damage may occur.
100%, i broke my stand doing this last year. Did it for 3 years without issue then bam, one day it just snapped. Almost dropped the bike right on my dad’s Mercedes 😬😂
It is a great bike with great value. It offers features that only much higher priced bikes will have. It is very comfortable and the seat height is perfect for short legged riders. We have 2 of those and really love it!
OK I can get on my bike without standing on the pegs I'm not 300 lb don't know about you and the bike on the side stand isn't twisting in with that weight iv been riding for 52 years and never had to do this il sit on my gs and manover it but then i can ride my bike
I'm yet to not see dropped jaws when I do this with my bike😅

This is needed more than you think if.
This was one of the very first things I learned, it is an aid to parking mistakes.

I use the front wheel in touch with the ground, then rotate it backwards, more easy
That way you'll have to use more strenght, tho

I too have same query
yes absolutely, side stand is not designed for this

What are yall’s thoughts on those Ibex 800Ts?

Instructions unclear my kick stand is now bent in half
i did that with my car so easy it had 2 kickstands
I don't know an easier way to break your side stand only an woukd do this or someone that can't manover their bike
If it’s made to hold up a 500 lb bike all day as well as having your fat 300lb body mount the bike from the pegs I’m pretty sure it can handle this

If can't turn it around without doing this then go buy a bike your size
Ok Marcus 👍🏻
Yes we know.... there are 1000s of video explaining this already.... try to come up with something new... ok....
Ok 🫡 Going back to the drawing board to come up with new content ideas.
