I've just read in the comments section that many people think that a MIDI is actually playing on the recording, so I'd like to clarify this situation. I played every note on this recording with my own two hands. The recording is entirely my own, the tempos are entirely my own. I used an electric piano as an instrument, connected to the computer, and used the Sibelius Sound Set. I hope this is an acceptable explanation, so in the future I don't want to see any comments questioning whether I am actually playing the piano on the recording. Thank you.
You play too fast!
@@jazzgal5631 You've seen videos of Oscar Peterson playing boogie right...?
Beatiful performance, thanks for the sheets :)
I question it just to prick your arrogance. Hope you see this comment
Играешь очень быстро.
For sure my favourite rendition of No. 2. So much attack combined with character and fun.
Great performance and wonderful technique. I feel like all the ppl in the comments complaining about too much speed and technique don’t realize that this video is from a jazz exercise book by Oscar Peterson. It’s literally meant to improve one’s speed and talent through practice. Oscar played very fast.
So what? Its hard to learn and enjoy at this tempo.
Awesome. What is the name of the exercise book please?
Oscar Peterson

Nice playing! I'm actually not surprised people think the first one would be a midi file since you played it so ridiculously evenly it actually sounded almost too precise! That's a tell tale sign of a good pianist though, deadly precision ;) Nice playing!

right!
Beautifully played.
Awesome ! Even the choice of tempos is Oscar-Petersonish ^^ great job !
Wow 🤩 such great performing ❤️❤️
Tremendous, always wondered how these were suppose to sound. They sound like Jazz
Great!
Excellent
Teacher just gave me these and im in for a ride :D
Perfect!!! I really like 2, 3 and 10!
For those of us finding the performance speed too Tatum-like, there is a setting for playback speed in the settings menu.
For me it's to fast, the music disappears behind the technic. But what a formidable technique!
Me podrías enviar un PDF de las partituras por favor.??
Please send me the PDF scores. Great playing!
these pieces sounds so classical lol
It has jazz harmonies and rhythm but it is very classically structured
13 is my favorite
How do you make those savory endings? those cool chords
N3 and N7 played at musical school like 30 years ago. And still remember the intros😂
Debussy and Haydin would've loved it were they alive.
Isn't this a little too fast?
I think this is the perfect tempo for most of them, in that it sounds just like Oscar Peterson (e.g. no. 2 sounds great at this tempo, but it's obviously tough at this speed)
They’re exercises
oh so thats how its supposed to sound
exercise 1 is just Bach''s wohltempertiers Klavier a la Oscar.
Hi! Somebody have the pdf or know where can i get it?
I found most of them on MuseScore
CONSTRUCTIVE DISCUSSION!
I read a comment below that said that the music disappears in the performance when it focuses too much on technicalities. What do you think? there are artists who, without knowing anything about technique, do wonderful things and others who, with the progress of their technique, achieved the same result. In which cases can music be overshadowed by technique? Over-technique can limit the artist depending on where you start. What do you think? :)
I will copy this discussion in another piano videos. Its really interesting for me beacuse i started piano 2 years ago and I have experienced those cases of lack of creativity due to over-techniques
I would agree with you generally speaking. But this video is Oscar Petersons exercises book. So technique is really the goal here.
Bro me puede pasar el libro en pdf?
@@angellim3929 send to me please
WOW THANK GOD I LOOKED AT THE COMMENTS BECAUSE I WAS CONVINCED THIS WAS MIDI! JUST WOW😮
any one got these oscar pdf
i think some of those are played too fast of what they should be in a recording, i understand technique development but i would have recorded and published them in a more useful speed and musical speed. Just my opinion, great job.
Pdf?
Great job man! Any chance you could be able to share the sheet n PDF format? (Or maybe I can but it somewhere.) edit: I found and bought the book!
hi, name of the book please? is it in amazon?
@@elkolodj1 Hi, I don't know if it is too late, but I can send them to your email in pdf format if you still need them, let me know :)
Can you send me, please?
search on the web for the pdf. It's out there
@@angellim3929 don't suppose you could send me a copy?
Very fast?
Where can we get the scores
@@angellim3929 hi, could you send me the pdf?
just a note to self i like 3 5 8 13
Clearly a professional Player here.
Lol clearly midi
They ain't got no swing though
I think musescore is the name of the player
the “midi”-comment guys obviously don’t know what phrasing means...
@@breadstuff Don't try to use musical jargon if you don't know what you're talking about.
No 6 it's completely Beethoven's style
mh very classical exercises with oscar peterson?
Great! Did you make these yourself?
I haven’t heard these 🤔
Oscar peterso
Supersonic tempos, why not ! But jazz is essentially ternary music (african roots), and here I only heard binary pulses.
Bla bla bla

Definición de "innecesariamente rápido" ? respuesta= ver este video
Is this supposed to be swung or what?
Very fast
puno ritmickih gresaka
Yo toque eso, pero no a esa velocidad
So fast...
Little....
j
In French please ?
Wrong notes in first exercise!
Too fast, (therefore) lack of musical feeling
Playing something fast doesn’t necessarily mean it takes away feeling but I do agree with you
This guy doesn't follow half of the music at parts, it's kind of ridiculous.
to fast much to fast
Little......
