Brass fight*
The Brass Clans are simply the quiet ones. The assassins that, if they had a boss theme they'd just fail every mission.
They're known as the Tuba High Counsel. They work for their own goals. But in the end, they all must be enlightened by the ways of new, instead of the traditions of old.
The tuba assassin wields a trombone, this is a trophy of his past conquests. Long ago, before king tuba rose to power there was a group within the brass kingdom known as the trombones. Trombones were a particularly troublesome bunch, you were never out of a trombone’s reach. See while most instruments have a ridged range which they could grasp trombones did not have such a detriment this paired with their notorious tendency to play filthy made the trombones hard to control, and king tuba didn’t like that. The tuba assassin was sent to remove the trombone threat from the kingdom in what is only known as the genoslide. While the trombones did put up a valiant fight even inventing the trombone suicide, a highly risky but highly effective defensive battle strategy involving linking themselves into a wall of intertwining blades which spun much faster than most members of the tuba army ever could, they did eventually succumb to the tuba assassin. Now, in the absence of the trombones the tuba assassin soils their legacy by wielding their weapon and employing the same sliding reach and dirty playing the trombones once held so dear. Fight well Maestro for when you challenge the tuba assassin you fight not just for the living but for the avengment of an entire race.

For anyone stuck on the Tuba Sniper, there’s a hidden weapon that you can use if you go back to the Merchant’s shop, then take a right and go off the path until you see a cave. It has both a shortcut to the Sniper and the secret weapon, along with a save point.

The story of the tuba sniper really feels inspiring.
At first, he would save you from afar when you needed it most, always having your back covered when the enemy caught you off guard or was too strong.
It was a shame though, that when you finally got close enough to meet him, the circumstances weren't right. He got defensive, knowing his employers wouldn't be happy... You ended up clashing, but in the end, he really just wanted to save you from a miserable fate. It was never meant to end that way. Such a sad tale, but it encourages you to move onward to one day face king tuba and his army, freeing the world of the systems that allowed this to happen.
45:17 The Royal Guard Tuba Head encounter is so good that I sometimes stop playing after defeating him. There's nothing more noble and stirring than this character in the whole game, and he has so much good to say that I wish I could change sides and fight for him. Given how simplistic his character design is, Tuba Gunman is definitely the kind of miniboss that becomes a common enemy in the latter half of the game.
Heavy tuba gunman however....
That's the boss of them all.
the heavy tuba gun man is a boss that only ever comes back at the ladder end
With how muted the song is, it makes me think they might be a common enemy with the lore being they were normal people transformed by the tuba, explaining why the design is so basic
I actually like to think Tuba Gunman is a re-occurring character in the game. Your first encounter with him has two phases: Tuba Gunman (3:58) and Heavy Tuba Gunman (6:16). Eventually, you would encounter him again and learn he's become one of the two Tuba Mercenaries (15:06). Then, in the Brass Army boss rush (42:57), you fight him one more time in his Heavy form.
I just love how the entire internet has decided that their is a kingdom, a war, and some other things happening at the very least in this tuba world
"I don´t have any bass,... only shiny brass." this part always gets you whenever you visit the Tuba merchant.

tuba knight is by far the most complex and genuin character in Tuba Boss. they're not just another hero with a tragic backstory as they actually start out as an enemy and you end up fighting them many times before finally joining your party (that is if you keep sparing them). I also really like the way the game distributes tuba knight's story throughout little details in various fights giving you an idea of what happened to them before the truth you predicted is revealed. Tuba knight is an exceptional character especially after they join your party, where they slowly learn to use everything they've kept hidden away for so long despite occasionally being tempted back into the side of the enemy, making it that much more of a satisfying and emotional moment when tuba knight finally breaks through the mental barriers and achieves their true potential, ultimately helping you defeat the true villain and rebuilding a new happy and peaceful life after the game. Truly one of the most captivating character arcs in gaming history
At the end of the Battle he remembers something he heard when he was younger.
,,You either die a Hero, or see yourself becomming the Villain"
And he doesnt knows wich one he is right now. Does he died as Hero? Or does he lived long enough to be the Villain?
@@gio-gioarmani2268 Wow, deeper than the anger and hate we eventually are consumed by.
@@Quickdrawingartist What i writed there is the last thought of the Knight when you fight him. The seconds before his last breath
What?
Guitar sphyco was by far the most tragic the one who insisted to show his face and to not play the tuba labeled as crazy cast out by the kingdom forced into the magical isolation by the tuba wizards losing his sanity as he learns the arts of guitar i mean you can even see it in his battle dialogue how he constantly mumbles about being treated like trash how his own sister didnt love him and how his guitar both ruined his life and gave his life purpose and if you have enough malice in your morality meter and you kill him his last words are “even in death i am unloved” and if you try to tell any of this to the townsfolk they will tell you he’s simply crazy and should not be trusted even if you have good morality you can spare him cause if you do they he kills himself out of the sheer confusion that someone would be nice to him and if you kill him with good morality he says “even the humble and good have no time for me” the only way for him to join your team is if you defeat him with your sanity meter completely depleted and even then while he’s on your team in battle he does damage to himself cause of his want to kill himself and dont even think about the endgame dialogue cause even when you’ve been nice and went on this huge quest with him he ends his life through using his guitar sword with his ending dialogue being “you only wanted me for my powers i am still filth to you”
The guitar psychos story is one of paranoia abuse and self hate telling the player that no matter how hard you try the isolation and harassment from everyone he’s ever met will always keep him down.
Ill try to not spoil a lot but:
For me the best one is the Tuba Bully, if you decide to spare and forgive him (this is needed too, just sparing him will not make him join you), he'll be your most useless companion (in stats and abilities) but his story is really sad and good at the same time, he'll tell you how the only one who was nice to him was his older brother who was send to the far east kingdom of Octavia, trough the game you will learn that the bully is not actually a bad guy in fact he's "arrogant" and "bad" because he want to impress his father. He's in comparison as good as Papyrus from UT (innocent and pure like a good cinnamon roll, to perfect for this world), and when you are close to the Holy City of Brassea the place where you fight against the Tuba Crusader he will stop the fight before you kill this crusader because this brave warrior was his older brother that came back from his crusade. So you have to choose if you betray one of your most loyal friends or accept to spare the Crusader (spoiler: you can only do this if you talked and followed the tasks that princess Ocarina of the southern east kingdom of Windharp will give to you + Bully in your squad).
Major Spoiler N1 (bad end of this story arc)
After more travelling and learning a lot from both of them you'll find out that their father is the Head of the Royale Guard and you'll have a timer of 5 minutes to end the Royale Guards boos fight because if you fail their father will kill Bully saying that he was never he's son and the poor PB was just a mere failure of a tuba person. It's even more sad because when you can fight him the Crusader will sacrifice himself trying to kill his father but this one is more powerful than the poor Crusader... The Head of the Royal Guards will just laugh and say "I guess I never had a son" before giving him the final blow...
Major Spoiler N2 (good end of this story arc)
If you save in time the tuba bully, him and crusader will help you with HRG and you will learn that there are people that you cant help, this because in the moment you choose not to kill him he'll try to kill bully but Crusader will end his father life, and Crusader will tell you "There are monsters in this world that it is better to kill before they come back to hunt you with more power"
In the credits scene you'll see Tuba Bully with Princess Ocarina sitting together as a happy couple and you can see Tuba Crusader and Tuba Knight in the background (obviously you have to follow his story arc too) just drinking as the really good friends they became in the story...
My english is not that good but I hope I explained it well why this story arc is my favorite
Little known composition fact: The reason the Tuba Assassin's theme is so loud is so the devs didn't have to compromise on the armor. If you listen closely during the fight, you can actually hear the direction the assassin teleports to.

I like how these songs make me imagine some super-specific levels. I think the Tuba Cat would be a "room-boss". There would be a giant restaurant where the Tuba people's night life is breaming. The music in that restaurant would be played by the Tuba Cat. To spread the sound all around this enormous night club the Cat uses a giant set of brass pipes as his musical instrument. Those brass pipes are spread all around the level, and they will attack you. Then, when you go through the level you will find a stage, and the Tuba Cat playing music. The Cat will notice you and start using his tubas to the max to finally stop you.

THE TUBA FACTION HAS APPEARED
You and your teammates run for refuge as the nearby drum town where you warn the people there they prepare for a battle yet to see an un-formidable force has came the corrupted tuba king and his army of tuba nights the army had multiple snipers scattered in the high mountains with assassins invisible spells presence larking near the tuba mages ready their magic chanting but it normally sounds like a tuba a line of heavy gunners stand before the front as tuba lunatics ready their tricks a tuba giant and a tuba dragon all the while a cat plays music to cast spread buffs it was a massacre for great drum city but what’s this? An army moving ahead the first thing you saw was was the woodwind knight with his sword sheated and the all legendery violin legionary followed up with the ominous tank of percussive juggernaut and you hear an iconic songs sung to kids to sleep it was the spell caster A new key here to powerful buffs and debuffs as a stampede follows you hear a bunch of clunking bronze could it be? A tuba inquisition is heading it’s way and it brought its troops filled with paladins mercenaries as crusaders ride their horses and explosions detonate as powerful tuba mortars with familiar tuba noises emitting and revealed to be tuba-noteslingers and they got it...they got a western tuba how could they get such a class in a green grassy biom it’s impossible as the army stopped the inquisition speaked saying “your deeds and sins have end here us the [faction name] shall bring you down as the words escaped from his tuba horn a silence started then a scream emitting from both armies that mostly sounded like bad tuba playing they rushed each other preparing for the greatest war to be written down as crusaders and paladins quarraling with knights as tuba’s lost in battle the woodwind night slices through multiple tuba nights with quick ease A new key applies a spell for everyone to see all invisible enemies assassins placed to hunt the snipers mercenaries stabbing and shooting percussive juggernaut tanks the most hits and did quite the good team break up tactic legionary casting very powerful explosion spells that eliminate too many of enemies mortars are breaking sizable enemies the western tuba made all enemies in it’s sight die in a split second as damage and defensive buffs casted from the noteslingers to the woodwind night slicing through the giant and dragon like swiss cheese the army was quickly deducted to the corrupted king himself as he was sweating profusely backed up panicking as the inquisition brings a speech about finally bringing the corrupted king down but then the king smirked and did hand gestures windwood violin juggernaut and new key is in a new scenery a giant platform with the king on the opposite sides seeing what happened they still question it the king delivers a charging attack aimed at violin but juggernaut got in front of him on time as they start the combat windwood slicing the king but it seems to do no damage debuff casted by key and spells chanted as juggernaut tries to hold them down as windwood stop moving and charging their power concentrating on the sword after some while juggernaut is exhausted and key and violin are almost out of mana as then a quick slash and “tssingggg” noise was heard and they have finally done it the corrupted kings influence is no more they have won and immediately returned to the mortal realm as drum city thanked them all of the crusaders and mercenaries had drinks but all four legendary heroes left the story shall continue.

“We used to want to be like you, we admired you, we adored you. Why are you doing this?”
“I do admit I have had noble origins but when you are protecting a kingdom there are no rules in war.”
The Tuba sniper was implemented perfectly in game, the music starts out peaceful and ends up getting more intense as you realism you’re being watched!
Okay but can you imagine how amazing a full orchestral soundtrack would be? Incorporating leitmotifs & themes that connect one another, and maybe throw in some subtle music theory to really throw the finishing punch.
The “Good Ending”: the kingdoms and their clans come together to bid you farewell, their voices rising in unique harmony as you close your eyes as the screen fades to black. You’ve done it. There is peace once again, the Orchestra once again a Song of the ages.
@@62crowsinananunusuallyshin97 "The bad ending" The corrupted tuba king has won and fullfied in summoning the Tritonius the Evil, the last thing you see before you die is the corrupted tuba king standing next to Tritonius, Tritonius says " The age of Brass is no more, now the age of the Tritone has begun".
It would be amazing.
Also what if you deal bonus damage when you strike in time with the music, adding an element of timing and making you part of the performance?
Another idea being that boss themes and their attacks are intertwined meaning that they will only attack at specific parts of the song and/or the song will change depending on what they will do next.

@@door.4975 Oh, ok.
I find the Tuba Lunatic's theme more melodic and melancholy in strange sense. Like there's a strange twinge of sadness that he hides behind a mask (or melody) of insanity and lack of wit. It's like he babbles to himself to make sure he's not alone, so that anyone _and_ everyone can hear him, and see him-just for the sake of it, whether it's an enemy, friend, or neither. Just never someone who doesn't acknowledge his existence.

I love them
Someone needs to make this into a real game.
Western Tuba looks like "that one secret overpowered boss everyone in the fandom freaks out about"
The tuba mortar, sits back in his comfortable nest firing nuclear Armageddon out of his weapon of choice. Though heavily armored he lacks the skill and speed to run straight into combat, leading him to learn how bombs and other projectiles can be used from far yet deal significant damage in an area. This lead to the Mortar, capable of launching clusters of small bombs or a singular, larger bomb able to take out a tuba giant. After the great tuba was ended. Tuba mortar then became the tuba merchant we know and love this day, selling scrap pieces of brass he collected from his mortar days.
This game taught me the value of carrying a concealed tuba on you at all times.
Tuba Assassin:
In his right arm, he wields a trombone. Typically such a weapon is forbidden by the kingdom, but the Assassin has proven where his loyalties lie long ago. He's proven his conviction to the King, and now
You must prove yours to him.
*GOOD ENDING: When you let all the bosses live after defeating them*
The Hero, once again united all of the Tuba Kingdoms and made important economic and cultural alliances with the rest of the Orchestral Kingdoms, and looking upon this new Era of peace and prosperity, he finally understood the words written so long long ago "Who Tuba First... Will Tuba Twice"
*NEUTRAL ENDING: When you let half of the bosses live after defeating them*
The Hero, once again brought peace to the Tuba Kingdoms, how long would this fragile peace with the rest of the Orchestral Kingdoms stand, was something to others to tell, in the meantime, the Hero tried to understand the words written so long long ago "Who Tuba First... Will Tuba Again"
*EVIL ENDING: When you kill all the bosses after defeating them*
The Hero, embraced the powers of those who once stood against him, with all the Tuba Kingdoms united by his sword, he looked upon the horizon of his realm, and began the march at the head of his new-formed Tuba Army, ready to deliver death to his enemies of the Orchestral Kingdoms, both warriors and innocents, he would not stop until all what he might see was under his rule.
What the Hero forgot in his thirst for power were the words written so long long ago "Who Tuba First... Will Tuba Last"
In other words undertale

I think for the bad ending you also have to kill the sad tuba, also, there's a special version for each ending if you encounter and spare or kill the secret bosses (like the tuba samurai)
The order is in who you encounter first and onward except Tuba Knight is never encountered in your first playthrough. You only encounter him replaying the game after you complete a Genocide Route in which he breaks the 4th wall and goes back in time to stop you

Slowly but surely, the Internet is making a game that nobody can play.
The armies of Tu'Bah the Paladin are amassing for a takeover. Fighting forces of the Woodwind Mages, String Bowman, Percussion Warriors, and the Choir Druids, weakened by a war they waged among themselves for over 30 years, aren't enough to stop them. It is up to you to lead the holy crusade for the Church of Con'Ductor to defeat the metallic menaces that call themselves the Order of the Brass.

I'm disapointed you didn't mention the Syntheziser Legion.
@@quasar5563 The Synthesizer Legions are like Switzerland but they're using their neutrality to create synthwave remixes of other songs.
@@approximately82kangaroos19 Yeah. Apparently the Synths are quite the accepting group, and take in refugees from all other nations. Their sounds are usually naturally changed when joining, but it still stays reminicent of what they were originally. For example, Woodwind Mages that join the Synths are called SIne Summoners, and their sounds are quite soothing. Refugees from other nations are called Sawtooth Sharpshooters, Machine Melees, Vocaloid Vocationals, and Triangle Terrors (respectively, String Bowmen, Percussion Warriors, Choir Druids, and Order of the Brass).
While not the hardest boss in the game (difficulty wise he is near the middle I would say), my favorite boss theme would probably have to be Tuba Officer. Hits really hard and sounds super complete especially compared to other themes.
Nobody in my schools band has ever hated the tuba section. Theres plenty of "section wars" but nobody ever goes against tubas.

OR
3. Different characters becoming one party with the ultimate orchestra of just Tuba's
Strings, Percussion, Brass, Woodwinds. Long ago, the four families played together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Brass Family attacked. Only the Conductor, guide of handling the ensemble of instruments, could stop them, but when the musical piece needed him the most, he vanished.

instead of the true final boss it should have been the true final brass for OST-29
Lets make "Instrument Kingdom" a hashtag, so it'll be easier to find this genre
Good one!
"The Brass Imperium has grown too powerful in recent years.."
"Seeing their forces amassed at the Woodwind Fortes at the eastern border is quite unsettling to say the least."
"I will request an audience with the Prince of Brass, and others of his respected generals. Hopefully he will be more reasonable than his Father, who has become estranged to the needs of his people in recent years."
"To reason, or threaten, or inquire. The nature of this meeting will find itself clear after I have made my case."
"Assuming that, of course, the meeting will be private. Though it seems that the Strings Spies always find their way into every conversation, I hope that their Monarch is not taking bribes once more from the Tuba King."
"and here you stand, againts the brass imperium, reforge with the rest parts of your comrades".
"their own force become one, now you become the choseen tube", "in the wings of hope, hear the notes of the fallen tubes".
tacito Tubas are brass. If you want an interesting character try a saxophone. I cannot for the life of me tell if it’s a brass or woodwind. I personally play cello, so I’m strings all the way.
@@KrisEnby i didnt know it, thanks :D
*Many Days Later at an Audience with King Brass
"And who might you be?"
'Lord Snare of the Percussion Kingdom, your highness. It truly is an honor to have an audience with the Brass King.'
"Yes. I see. What brings you here, Sir Snare?"
'I would like to inquire you on your invasion of the Woodwind Kingdom. What pushed you to mount such an attack?'
"Well, that is a matter I simply cannot share with you. I will have you know that I do not have any current intentions to invade the Percussion Kingdom"
'Ah- I see. Eh- Do you have intent to invade the String Empire?'
"Hm... Well, I have the strength to. I might chose to invade the String Empire, yes."
'If you do not mind, I would like to relay this information back to King Bass. If you would like, I can even have him come here and visit! Er- that is, if you seek to speak with him.'
"You may tell your king these things. I do seek to speak to him. Send him my regards."
'Yes, thank you your highness.'
CorrinKatana 145 Saxophone is woodwind
I love how the last one is literally just Ornstein and Smough with a tuba
I can just imagine these as dark souls style enemies and I'd buy it in a heart beat
.... This could be a rhythmic bullet hell. Each enemy fires when their assigned instrument plays in the midi, as you kill them their parts in the symphony drop out, give extra bonus for firing on the beat
would be so cool. should be a side mode for Orchestra: The Brass Fate.

Oh god Violin Legionary is gonna be hellish
Oh no.
That sound.
He’s here.
They're here.
I love these, just listening to them in the background while playing games makes me feel like the final boss.
