I have changed loads of the manifold temp sensors, even on new RR's. they can be a real pig to get to because the heat shields stop you from getting the special tool on.
Well done, good result considering there was a fault to begin with. They seem like nice people there, loved the ladies reaction to the official dealers hourly rate
What a great mechanical work shop a reasonably cheap fix l know in Britain and Europe emission laws are strict but in Australia we do not have emissions testing when we take our over 5 year old motor vehicles for the yearly inspection l am glad of that because when l take my 25 year old toyota hilux with a carburetor and cat converter it will as long as everything is good and working correctly and as far as l know the yearly inspections are only done in N.S.W and the A.C.T all the other states don't have yearly inspections l meant that my hilux has no cat converter
I get this from time to time after 7 years of ownership. I suspect a stuck turbo actuator or software glitch. Turn it off, wait 5mins, then turn it back on and all ok for another year.
My tech says that’s because the ecu is rejecting the faulty sensor and replacing the value with a default one. Whilst the restricted performance is not messaging you might not be performing at optimum. Ed
@@Back_Road_Hero I wish I could find one near me. There were two within ten miles of me, one went bust about ten years ago. The other was only four miles away and was run by two brothers and they retired last year. I've got the dreaded battery drain and I need to get it looked at and it doesn't seem to be the HVAC system causing it.
how on earth can they justify that and more to the point who is daft enough to pay it ? Sort of place everyone needs to avoid until they get the message
Most garages charge for the diagnostics alone and they drove the car with computer plugged in. I have had l322's 12 years and wish I was close to that specialist. Labour rates are so cheap.
Sorry Rob. There were stereo audio issues so I've reissued it as a new rendered video. Could you please comment on the fault code again and the FFRR group. Ed

Thanks Simon. These guys I trust. So good to have a local specialist. Thanks for watching. Ed

Yes, my wife Emma had to contain herself a little! 😂😂😂

Good to know for the future. Ed

I bet that was a relief phew congrats on the win :)
It helps to have a great local specialist. Ed
My range rover sport supercharger loses power up to a stop but when restart the engine it drives good for about 5 Km and loose power again
Could be a number of reasons. Hope you get it sorted soon. Ed
Did you find the problem?
Mark smith they are absolutely amazing garage my Range Rover has been there a few times and there service is outstanding very very good garage 👍👍👍👍👍
So glad you feel the same way Robert. I can’t fault their service. Ed
`The Italian Tune-up`...Did you use the horn? ...
Plenty of horn, but mostly my right foot! 😂
Mine doing the same at approximately 95mph under hard acceleration l320 RR SPORT 2012 SC. Also after turning off the engine the performance is back.

Was the sensor also telling that the temperature was too low?
I think it was just sensing high. Ed
Good evening. What is the name of the part that got replaced?
It was an exhaust temperature sensor. Ed
@@Back_Road_Hero Thank you very much!!!
Bloody hell £289 ph + vat is even dearer than my local Land Rover stealer. They charge £275 ph + vat ( that works out at £330 ph lol
It’s nuts! This specialist is only £69 per hour. That’s why I’m sticking with them. Ed

Can I ask how many hours it was to change ?
They charged us just one hour labour at £59 +vat and a further £45 +vat further for the road test.
@@Back_Road_Hero Getting charged £45 +vat for taking it out for a road test? Highway robbery.

Subbed I have this problem as well
It could be one of many sensors. Thanks for subscribing. Ed
Spot that big dirty accent anywhere
Seems my old comments vanished 😂😂
