The main issue is that the game thinks the 4 exhaust ports on a vehicle count as four engines even though the vehicle has literally one engine so it basically it has the biggest heat signature compared to the tiny rockets it fires, doesn’t mean it won’t work as flares, it’s just not the best by a long shot
I would suggest you to have a key bind set to reset the missile seeking, for when you lock on to something that you don't want to lock on, you reset and lock on to your target, and also you can utilize your VTOL while turning by turning it up to 10%-15% for better turn rate.
Ngl the best thing to do sith a harrier is fly low as possible and "pop" up behind the enemy. People rarely expect it and often cant get guns on you without crashing due to your agility.
man you literally had the best jet APS system in the game, USE IT! the SRAAMs can lock missiles coming directly at you, and are VERY good at intercepting them. just don't fire at missiles that are like 6 kilometers away
Always use combat flaps under 950km/h while trying to turn and airbrake sometimes help a bit too. Also I'm lately using a nice keybind for thrust vectoring which is Ctrl plus mouse wheel it's easier and faster than double keybinds.
The SRAAM is useful to take down incoming head on missiles. It’s practically your countermeasures. Better than trying to use rockets which isn’t really that effective.
Have you ever played top tier before? Or do just not look at the type of missile you’re carrying? It says it’s range and locking angles in description (It’s rear-aspect)
Can they give this thing flares already
it used to have Countermeasures on release they removed it later lol
The Harrier GR.1 didn’t have flares irl, so they probably won’t getting them in WT.
Just don't have a hot engine lmao nerd
i dont see why it cant be downtiered slightly
Just carry rockets to use as flairs
Tip, take a rocket pod to act as flares, it might not work 100% of the time, but it’s better than not having anything.

20-25% Most optimal for turn time but still having forward thrust Imo
Some advice from a GR 1 pilot, use the sraams to draw away or intercept the enemy missiles.
0:10 Alr idk how but that song paired too well with that lift off.
Don't forget sometime you can you rockets as flares it semi works

The UK 9.7 flare problem is massive. 3 aircraft extremely over tiered incapable of fighting in 9.7 meta combat 😢
when it was released, these things could do 180s and snap like 50g's
Common trend in WT, premiums release and are overpowered and then get upped in BR.
The SRAAM at 0:30 didnt know where it was :^(
Use your thrust vectoring while turning, it greatly helps me when I play my harrier
you can reacquire your missiles target in its fov, just press Alt + X if you accidentally locked any teammate

setting vertical thrust to 30% increasing turning and agility greatly.

single handedly an amazing content creator. subbed and I came from the home page lol
"Schizophrenia plague hits hard"
Thrust (not) vectoring explosive tube
"fuck it"

wow
Man you’re bad at this game
