First off great video lots to be understood and learned I have always used a cb all day every day because of my job and here recently I put one in my truck with a 2 pill amp and been watching your videos like crazy but now you have me wanting to build my own personal pilled amp is there a kit you can put together that I can buy from you and build one myself thanks and God bless have a merry Christmas
Jarrod Penton I have done this from time to time four people a lot of guys would not go to the trouble to put together a kit but there have been times that I spoke to guys and I got a real good feeling about them and I help them out and put together a little kid and I can think of two or three of these guys right now that are now building amplifier since I did that for them contact me via my website gatekeeper amps. Great teacher. my 2 pill box when turned off cuts my radio power from 20watts to about 3 or 4watts and thats when the power supply to the box is also turned off. if i turn the power supply on to the amplifer and keep the amplifier off , the watts increase back to 20+watts. what is causing this? help !!!
vivian leslie I'm sure you have probably already figured out this issue by now but what you are having a problem with is an impedance mismatch it appears that when you turn your power supply on it's giving you an active DC ground which is for some reason helping your impedance it either could be your relay or you may need to ground your so-239 connectors better to the board I wonder if you have now since fix this issue

The LED is a diode, you can just do a diode check with a multimeter. But if you dealing with a multi matrix chip or cascading chips then you gots other issues. just saying. Alphazone983 click click.

all i know. when it come to touching the tip///. that's what she should do. lol... i want tp know how a keying relay goes in a 29 classic wire in next to the mic plug. so i can run a foot peddle amp with it. and not need a ssb keying delay cap. i hate amp delay circuits.that's why most all ham amps use a foot peddle switch.

pipeliner2004 no problem buddy I've even been thinking about making another video showing the current circuit that I am using now which is an updated circuit which is equipped with an invert circuit which allows you to use the preamplifier with your main amplifier turned off or allows you to build this preamp in an external setting the invert circuit allows you to bypass your preamplifier circuit upon transmitted

I just purchased a Solorcon 99 5/8 wave with ground plane. What distance can I expect at 40 W continuos R.F. Peak power meant little years ago.

is there such a thing as a 4x4 amp? some guy claims he runs one but it doesn't make sense, 4 pills driving 4 pills?
It is probably a tube amp....no I haven't seen a 4x4 regular amp but it is possible.
