Love those phantom clamps! Best clamps I’ve tried by far. Nice video
Mike The Glass Guy Nice one. Thanks 😃👍🏼
Its great that the Exceed tubeless kit is now available for the Phantom pole .....
😃👍🏼
Thanks for the upload as always Ashley, its appreciated ✌
JD Thanks for your comments!😃👍🏼
Been using the Phantom 22 for a couple of days and already i absolutely love it. It feels so good in the hand, really solid little pole. The cherry on the cake, is the Facelift brush, with the nylon bristles & horse hair core. The scrubbing power is noticeably far superior than any other brush i`ve used. Its a bit heavier than what I'm used to but i think its no bad thing as the brush plants itself firmly down on the glass & gets right into all the corners. Absolutely love the whole set up. I'm sold .....
JD Nice one. It is a really good solid setup that. Glad to hear you’re getting on well with it.😃👍🏼
Also I'm trying to get a window cleaning trolley. Which would you advise ? It's my first time
Take a look at the Nano Trolley from Pure Freedom, that’s a great bit of kit.👍🏼
Which is best xline or phantom ??
I haven’t tried the Xline pole yet. Hopefully I will soon though.👍🏼
Do u prefer the phantom over the slx?
They are both very similar, the main difference being the clamp. I am also doing my own pole now, which is very high quality.😜👍🏼

@@aemackintosh are your poles compatible with the exceed tubeless kit?
Should be yes. The diameter of the first section is the same.👍🏼
@@aemackintosh are your clamps off another pole or completely different to anything else?
My clamps are like nothing else anywhere. Totally unique and totally awesome and easy to use.👍🏼
They are fantastic poles but the gooseneck could be improved if the made a swivel for it. I put a Gardiner gooseneck with swivel on mine. Great review 👍
Squeaky Clean Dave me too 👍🏻
Same, best of both worlds 😜
Good one, nice tip.😃👍🏼
I bought a phantom 25 a while back. but to use the gardiner gooseneck I had to remove the top pole section as is too small to fit into clamp. Same with wanting to fit a univalve it won’t fit inside phantom top section.........
gonna use the ‘wasted’ section for trad inside tall windows.
Other than that love the pole, best feature for me is that hose protector at the bottom! Crazed me when you get a split.
wonder how the hi mod poles would compare to gardiner xtreme’s
Nother nice vid ash 👍🏻
Very very interesting loved it .
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.😃👍🏼
Would you recommend this pole over an unger pole?
Justin Foster I think Inger have fallen a little behind with their clamps. I prefer different poles for different applications, I’ve got a hi mod Unger pole that is heavy duty and I love it on commercial work. I much prefer this little Phantom for domestic work.😃👍🏼
A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services awesome thanks for the reply will definitely consider this if I can get it in us without crazy shipping!
😃👍🏼
Great video. Quick question I do a little bit of window cleaning only 2 story homes
Will I need 5ft for low windows would the 18ft be a little heavie
maz man This Pole is pretty light already, so I would say that you will be fine to do the ground floor windows with it as well. It’s up to you really though.😃👍🏼
Cant wait, we bought 2 22ft phantom hybrids for starting off.
Luke Branton Nice one.😃👍🏼
Hi Ashely
Watch the video few times. Can you tell me please as you've been using for few months, are you enjoying it compared to Gardiner Poles? Just I need to buy another couple of poles. Thanks again
Ben I haven’t actually tried Gardiner poles, so I’m not sure how they compare. What I would say though, when choosing a pole, I think it’s important to consider the whole pole system and the accessories available. This will really effect how well you get on with the pole.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh
Really appreciate your response.
I asked as Gardiner seem very similar design ,but Gardiner are still lighter. Been using Gardiner from.day one, just find they good for most, but not everything. Just wished was a company out there for wfp like Festool for example to which offer great service and true high end performance and service through out. I may have had an areca moment!!
I have tried a lot of different poles, just not Gardiner, yet. I find that I prefer different poles for different situations. I must make a video to explain more. I use the Ova8 a lot though, there is a playlist for it on my channel. I love it for domestic work as there are so many attachments and they are so quick and easy to swap over. But the pole isn’t so rigid for higher work.😃👍🏼
will traditional tools fit on the end of that gooseneck if you remove the brush?
Yes, if you get the right cone tip adapter. I like the Unger opti-lock cone.👍🏼
@@aemackintoshturns out it wont take trad tools on the facelift goodneck, also the con top adapter only fits the second section. I was hoping to be able use the gooseneck with trad tools
Have you had a look at the Boss poles, from Lee Martin? Went down and had a look, very impressed, similar clamps. Ordered a 22 carbon, good price.
Tim Hancock I would like to give it a try.😃👍🏼
Hi mate, just wondering what your go to pole is each day. And if you could rate them from the three I’ve seen you use?
I mostly use my 22ft Ova8 every day on domestic work. My father in law just retired and he has a Gardiner pole and backpack which I’m going to collect from him next weekend. Then at some point I plan to make a comparison video of all the poles I’ve used.😃👍🏼
Thx for replying so soon 👍 I’m thinking of getting a new pole but in no rush. I recently put the new phantom clamps on my Phoenix 22 and it’s transformed it. Will more than likely go for a hi mod pole as neck and back has always been issue.
I bought the same pole but 25ft last year at the cleaning show, got to say,not worth the money I paid but they have come on a lot better since then looking at your video Ashley, there’s a lot of extras here that are definitely needed with this pole but do they come as standard? I bought the goose neck adaptor kit which is brilliant and I got the new side line brush but I have the same problem with the head movement so gone back to my standard brush.
Great video as always 👍
Mike’s Multiskills Thanks. The accessories are all extra on this. I think the range of accessories makes such a difference to a pole.😃👍🏼
Cannot fit a uni valve I wasted a lot of money and can’t even use it......any ideas???
lee mappley if you use the o clamps from Gardiner with one ear they do fit but it is tight. That’s what I did for mine👍
Squeaky Clean Dave it’s just the top section of the pole that the uni valve won’t fit through it’s to thin, I’ve got the red 18 ft phantom. Fibre glass one. I’m wondering if I lose the top section and add a old gardiner bottom section maybe that might work and still keep the length.?? Thanks for your input you’ve got me thinking, it’s been in the cupboard for 2 months unused🙄
lee mappley you could possibility cut 4 inches of the bottom of the thinnest pole so the uni valve will fit inside the next section. The uni valve doesn’t need to be at the top of the pole.
Squeaky Clean Dave cheers mate I think that’s it , might just have saved the pole, everything else about it I quite like, many thanks 🙏👍
I made a video a while ago about how to fit a uni-valve to an Ova8 pole. It already has a shorter first section, but if you cut a bit off of yours it should fit in a similar way.😃👍🏼
The hi mod Phantom is superb, clamps are the best on the market...
julian pierce I would love to try the hi-mod.😃👍🏼
Hi all , I’m starting off as I’m about to loose my full time job due to the covid situation ...
I have 3 kids to feed so I’m looking at doing this , would the Gardiner v3 back pack work well with this pole set up ?
Yeah, that’s a good idea. You should check out the starter kits from window cleaning warehouse.😃👍🏼
ordered the phantom 22 Ashley. I was going to try the ova , as I've heard that's even better. However I was put off by the lack of detail on varitech website. I like detail on anything I purchase. I'm certain the phantom will be a big upgrade on the Gardiners slx 22 though. 👍
JD That’s a great pole! There are pros and cons to each, but I think the Phantom is really built to last! I hope you enjoy it.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh cheers mate, im sure I will. I want to force myself away from Gardiners & this will be the start of it .....
JD Are you fed up of Gardiner? Most WFP window cleaners seem to love them. I haven’t used them very much apart from the brushes.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh Its the customer service I detest Ashley. Find Gardiners also are not honouring the warranty on what I feel is the very brittle extreme pole! There aftersales is shocking !
JD I’ve heard that. It’s a shame when companies don’t look after their customers.👎🏼
Think of getting this hi mod pole at 25ft only weights about 1000g so very light. I know it's around £700 but probably worth it. Might not be so hard work and so tiring cleaning the gutters etc. I have a hybrid pole at 27ft and weights about 1700g or so.
If you have been using a hybrid you will love the hi-mod. It’s always good to use a more rigid pole.😃👍🏼
Have had this pole now for a few weeks. Amazing poles. Makes jobs easier and can do them a bit faster as not so tiring.
I'm now fully booked with jobs for 3 weeks with gutter cleaning. Could do with having a employee but I know there are so many problems. Starting to lose work as people don't want to wait. I know you just like to keep it small. Keep going round in circles with this problem.
Hi Ashley good video again, the phantom pole just a pass mark, still nothing beats the Gardiner poles accessories and design are way better and stand the test of time 👍😀
FlashTechEngineering Love these clamps though. Only time will tell I guess.😃👍🏼
I brought the 22ft phantom carbon and found it really heavy and awkward so I've gone back to my Ron thompson gangster carp pole as it's very light and because it's a put over pole when your doing lower windows your only using 1 section instead of having to use all of them.
Simon Wheeler Carp pole? Are you fishing?
@@aemackintosh I've been using water fed for 12 years and you just cant beat the weight of carbon carp pole. It definitely doesn't take the stuffing out of you like a telescopic one you just have to treat them with more TLC. 😉😁👍
Nice one.😃👍🏼
Looks like a nice pole but I think 6 months atleast of work before you can tell if a pole is any good...k have a streamline xr100 that has the inserts on the clamps and definelty seem to cause less wear on the pole
Colin Crystal clear external cleaning I’ve been using mine for 10 months and it’s still like new. Great poles🤣
Only time will tell. It looks like a great quality pole to me though.😃👍🏼
The clamp inserts are designed to wear before the pole, you can buy the inserts for little money.
julian pierce Its such a great idea.😃👍🏼
How much money do you make
Am I the only one having problems with mine .my phantom 22 sticks and I'm forever cleaning it .also First clamp keeps loosening so forever tightening. never buy one again .stick to gardener slx22 plus it's more rigid
Thanks for the review Ashely. But affraid to say compared with Gardiner it's no way as good . Don't feel is as quality, but I could be wrong. Be good to know how you get on with it after say 6months.
ben cavanagh it’s far superior to the SLX, the clamps are better, it’s slightly more rigid and has a shorter closed length.
Ben I’ve been using mine for 10 months now and no problems at all. I also have a slx and in my opinion they are very similar 👍
Thanks Dave. I use extreme. I think it’s a personal thing which is better. Just felt the extreme was much better all round. Perhaps I need to try one out for longer. If phantom can give me good price I may well do that. 😀
I can see why so many stick to Gardiner. This Phantom does seem great though.😃👍🏼
😎👍
Wollef der Fensterputzer 😃👍🏼
Crack'n good pole
TRAD - MAN 😃👍🏼
