R.I.P. Ross Higgins we now Live in world were joking about something can be a crime! I never forget how colourful my childhood was because of wonderful people like you!👍🏻😊
"The Kingswood, Your not taking the Kingswood, I Just polished the dipstick, Dam things got oil on it every time pull it out". That's my favourite version of your not taking the Kingswood just because he would have to be so stupid to not realise it is supposed to have oil on it.
Sure it is politically incorrect-lots of jokes about foreigners-however unlike the ones of today they took it in their stride-and became Australians just as those who were born here-this is how you become one of us-you must be able to take it and then give it back this is how you earn respect from Australians you understand.
Ive done the same thing recently but it translates better if you do the body language and use one of the classics 'the kingswood, your not taking the kingswood, I just glad wrapped the number plates'. After not watching it for 25 years I was a bit scared to look it up as things seem to be fonder in my memory than reality often but the show seems to stand the test of time, even able to get some jokes I couldnt at 12 :)
one of the blokes at work[ well he is young ] didnt even know ted bullpitt existed probably was on the tv before he was born, well he missed out big time, even drives a holden but its not the iconic KINGSWOOD !
@dragonmist58 Ahhh, just tried to make a "You're not taking the Kingswood" joke to my stepson and it of course totally misfired. So I had to explain to him where it came from. :) He, of course, wasn't even born when it was on the air. I feel old, now.
If only the whole world had the sense of humour-Australians had back then-all the pain in Missouri how young people experience woodbine not a thing-if you read this you can take it as your clue-stand up against political correctness-make the whole world true once again.
They are actually playing this on TV at the moment. People understand that it is an old show so it doesn't cause any war. What would cause a war is if they remade Kingswood Country in the same way as the original.
a bus driver showed me this and i didn’t know how different was australia 😳 i mean where s the indians , black ppl , and brunette women, everyone r white next day i asked to da bus driver if they were just famous actors or actually australia was like that? and he said something bout White Policy😐 since then i discovered bout discrimination in oz and may i wouldn’t b accepted coz im latino 😅i said this coz i love lots 1960s and 80s, anyway glad i born in da late 90s 😅
Well when the 1st series of kings wood country started in 1982 that's when I was born and in this show you could pretty muchly get away with anything but these days you have to be careful what u put on tv one very rude word or distastulness it gets yanked off the air
Kingswood Country was a good show, so funny and entertaining. I loved how uptight Ted Bullpit became every time Bruno was with him!

I loved and love this show, and watching it now in the climate we live in is even more hilarious than it was.
Straight talkers are a rare thing!
Actually it was the writers, not the characters
Lol don't want to hurt their feelings

My old man is Maltese, his nickname at home is old wog, and back in the 80’s we also had a concrete Aboriginal called Neville.
Kingswood Country will always be funny.
We have great sitcoms in the UK but, I have to say, Kingswood Country is also a superb sitcom.
Very funny.
Good theme tune too.

Good product placement there with Weetabix and HP sauce
When I was growing up that's literally where everyone I knew kept their condiments right on the kitchen table along with mint sauce lol
@@davemustaki134 Mint sauce I forgot that excisted😋
had a mate years ago who drove a kingswood . so i started calling him ted . after a while he would only answer to that name and not his real one
Wow. That fridge.
Notice the HP sauce on the table, absolute golden stuff.
Money on the fridge!

Of 89 episodes there never was one called Aerial Warfare. Which actual episode is this supposed to be?

Thank god Australian TV improved in the 1990s. This is as funny as cardboard.
