  • After getting an emotional call from a relative of one of the victims of Pacman Jones' entourage in Las Vegas during the NBA All Star Weekend, Chris Russo broke out into his best rant of all time killing Jones and the NFL. This is why Russo is the best in sports radio talk shows. It doesn't get better than this.

    MOBROOKS has got it right.
A conviction policy. What if a player is kicked out for a yr for an investigation, and then exhonerated in the courts??? What retrobution should he have??? The possible ramifications are tremendous. What about all the domestics, the nfl would be giving the wives a kinda of strangle hold, make an accusation and threaten the husbands career. Thats outrageous.

"Innocent until proven guilty" is about criminal charges and the ability to lock someone up, i.e. take away their liberty. It has nothing to do with protecting someone's employment, unless that's a contractual clause, which it's not in this case. Russo's right. Very right, and it's what keeps regular people, black and white, from enjoying sports as much as they should, and from bringing our kids to games and getting them to love sports.

I can agree with pacman because of a pool cue incident he had as a freshman should have kicked him out of the program, but Chris Henry was never arrested in Morgantown. Chris Henry was a prima donna that hurt the program but he never broke the law before or during college. You can't discipline a player for crimes they haven't yet committed (but he did get suspended for a game and a half for being a prima donna).
