Wasn't as hard as I thought. I think the general public makes it sound harder to install than it is! Hope you enjoy how I Replaced the Rack and Pinion on my Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series DIY (1998 Model). #NINE8LC

Keep your oem and just have it rebuilt by solo motorsports or someone else. I had mine go out in my 1st gen tundra and got a reman from toyota and it failed soon after. I then had it rebuilt by solo for around 350$ and they did a better job.

At least keep your old one and rebuild it for 350$ and always have a spare. I was a dummy and got rid of my old one. Sometimes you learn the hard way and more expensive way.
