Great job Magdad. I have a similar hammer that I paid 100% more than you did. ($2 🤣) You inspired me to work on it. I’m encouraged with Phil’s prediction. He’s been wrong 70% of the time in recent history. Thanks! 🇺🇸
I agree with you on not using my Estwing leather handled hammer, too nice. The True Temper hammer cleaned up well, interesting pattern after the Evaporust showed the tempered sections. I bought a Vaughan 12 ounce hammer and they are handy.
Ames was a shovel company founded in a small town called North Easton, MA, the next town over from where I live. The old granite buildings are still in place and are very cool looking. Surprised the hammer does not say made in the USA. Nice piece. Thanks!
Now that's a great looking user, bought a lot of true temper golf shafts over the years fixing golf clubs for people. As for the groundhog same here in northern British Columbia.......cold. take care.
Great cleanup. That hammer is a great user and was a good deal for $1. I didnt know True Temper was owned by Ames. Pieces of tool information like that are always interesting to me. Thanks.
That cleaned up very well. As you said, looking good, but not too good so it can be used. I have a Craftsman fiberglass handled hammer from the mid 80's. I used this until I missed some nails and caused minor splinters on the side of the shaft near the head. I then got an Estwing hammer which I love. I still have the Craftsman, but it is rarely used these days. Dave.
Very nice cleanup and almost restoration. We won't use that word so you can use that tool. Ill be interested in knowing how it feels in your hand. Estwings excel at creating balanced hamners that feel good in the hand and fore arm when swung.
Magdad, Is Chuck on vacation? First groundhogs and a new(ish) hammer with no Flitz? Chuck must be stewing, I was expecting to see you blue the darker portions of the hammer. I wonder how they tempered the hammer head with such precision? Bob
Mr Phil said 6 more weeks of Winter 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎BOO .. BOO .. The TT hammer looks great .. Great for the small projects Also another New England made product .. Take care and enjoy your Sunday looking forward to Wednesdays video
I have one exactly like it that was sold by Montgomery Wards as a Power Crafter but it has a steel handle with the same blue foam grip, flat aspects around the head and light gray/blue paint in key places on the head. I wonder who made it to be re-branded? I think I have seen Stanley hammers like it as well.
Hammer cleaned up well and looks good. Nice video and the critters at the end too. 🤓👍
The curse of tool restorations "crap it's now to pretty to use " lol
Hey !Bonjour Magdad vraiment du très beau travail de nettoyage sur ce marteau, il est presque comme neuf et servira de longues années. ❤
The hammer came out very nice Great video. Thanks
Nice job. I always thought True Temper was a proprietary brand of Ace Hardware. Now I know better.

It's amazing the results you can achieve without abusing the tool with an angle grinder!
Very nice user hammer MagDad. I like the octagonal head. Well done!
You that hammer to come out looking great. Will be a good user hammer for you, thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
Good clean up Magdad.....i like the green/ gold combo they had..
Nice job
Had one of those many, many years ago
Looks very nice.

Very nice job! I feel the same about my Estwing leather handle hammers after restoration, too nice to use!😁
I was disappointed that you didn’t show it in action, fixing Chuck’s house!
Your patience really shows in all of your restorations!😊
Nice, thanks for sharing
Looks amazing, I love the colors on it. It will make a nice user.
Nice hammer 🔨 great job and hopefully the groundhog is wrong and some warmer weather will arrive soon and get rid of my cabin fever 😂

Nice restoration for a user hammer. Thanks Magdad
I have the exact same one. Now I have to clean mine up. Looks good. I like this hammer a lot. Handed down from my father.
Great cleanup. That hammer is a great user and was a good deal for $1. I didnt know True Temper was owned by Ames. Pieces of tool information like that are always interesting to me. Thanks.
Restration perfection for the purpose. Greatly enjoyed the show!

The hammer looks great! I like the Ground Hog Day video too. Thanks for sharing this.
Nice clean up Magdad. I remember my dad having a claw hammer like that.
That groundhog's voice was super cute!
Looks great

Nice light Hamner for a $1.00 👍
Very nice hammer clean up, 13oz hammers are great for the shop. Did I see a groundhog, or am I just just in need of coffee? lol
Nice tool and great clean up.
Great job
A grand job on that one. I agree thd the other is too good to use, it's a beauty!

Nice work, MAGDAD! Did you consider touching up the green paint?
I inherited a few of these from.my grandpa.and uncle.
Fork and Hoe? Somehow that just sounds dirty. 😂

My grandfather always told me that an unused tool is a useless tool.
And that goes for everything.
A "JUST RIGHT" restoration... JUST good enough to appreciate but not too good to use lol.
Don't like steel handled hammers.
No tool is too pretty to use.
