I got the protoman progress PET coming in the mail, hoping to get megaman and a chip collection as well.
btw if you put in a chip slanted first / \ it reads it as a different chip sometimes it reads as a really strong chip
I hope you read this, I really want to know wether advanced pet chip can be used in progress pet? because I'm trying to find progress pet chip but I cant read japanese so I dont understand wether the advanced pet chip that sold separately is compatible with the progress pet. tq >.
yes, all advanced PET chips will work in the progress PET.
the only chips that will not work, RockmanEXE 4.5 exclusive navi chips (Shadowman, bass, starman, etc)
But those are pretty rare.

Are chips region locked? Would i be able to use English or Japanese Chips for a Korean Progress PET?
nope, they're all region free! (every generation)
I've used US, JP, and Korean, advanced chips, and they all work on my advanced pet, and progress pet!
Wow, swift reply. Thanks i'm a huge megaman fan and i've always wanted a PET of my own, The only cheap on i can get my hands on is a Korean version.

It can use any battle chips made for the advanced pet or progress pet.

sometimes in a battle in rpg mode, ill either be able to press right to peek at the enemy's board, but not able to move. and other times the reverse.
in status i see a "No Password".
do you have an explanation for this?
also what do navi chips do? i get a little animation that looks like double soul but idk what it does in this instead of the game.
i just wish there was a translated manual or something.
@@tsmith5133 Hey! I don't know about the No Password thing, but I had the same issue with being able to peek enemy board but not move. I think that is tied to your sinc/sync points. Do the chip battle mode to raise your sinc points.
How much is THE PET progress?
The korean ones are the cheapest, at around $30 new.
Both of these are Japanese, they're a bit harder to find, but the megaman/protoman modes go for around $50-$80 used

Yes, old technology tends to look old.
this was released back in 2004, it's only natural for technology to advance in 16 years.
However, game&watch systems use fixed graphic screens that can only show a few basic designs, and ran on a 4-bit CPU.
Compared to that, Megaman PET's are quite a bit more advanced, and they can display actual sprites.
