Great video, really mastered the way to show weapons :) But damn devs missed the opportunity of doing a simple one round glowing blade like Tron’s discs :/
I have to admit my first reaction to the new relic designs was... eh. Can't say I'm really a fan of the sudden shift to the more high-tech designs for the last relic step, it doesn't fit in well with the previous ones and they do feel a bit too "same-y" with nearly identical colour schemes and glows. The end stages of other relics tended to be a bit more unique from each other, even if they fell into the same broad-strokes trends; usually different coloured glows, at the least. I may be sticking to the previous stage for glamours, broadly speaking. Still, they actually are good designs... I just don't think it's the right way to end off the "Manderville Weapons" in particular. If they were leaning more into the technological themes from the beginning of the relic series (Manderville or not), I'd probably be less critical of the design choice. I'm willing to give them a chance, but I can't deny the initial disappointment. And for an interesting observation (and I've seen a few comments leaning towards this in general)... these weapons would be right at home in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, with many of them quite reminiscent of the Kevesi weapons seen in XC3 with the dark metallic base colour and blue glow (the switch to purple not withstanding). That being said, that's a setting that definitely leans more into the sci-fi aspects while still retaining fantasy elements.

Overall pretty nice design concept I dare say, although some of them clearly lack a certain individuality. I'm just mostly ticked a bit off as a NIN main, cause I feel like the balance of the aesthetics wasn't handled as well as it could have been. The glow doesn't synergyce well with with the rest of the weapon and in it's inactive state, the knives look rather unremarkable. Maybe if they kept the laser blade or whatever while sheaved or a few neon lines...
Do kinda wish there was more variety in the colors but I'm loving the look. At the very least they got me cooking up some glam ideas for solution 9 and the new 8 man
I’m pleased with the War and Bard ones as those are my main classes but damnit is that dragoon weapon the best one. So damn clean. I’m hoping the older relics get a graphical touch up at some point.

Also that sneaky snake-sword animation on the greatsword, mmmm... As a RDM main, while I won't be using the rapier since I don't usually go with techno aesthetics, I do love the double-edged, broader blade. Like a cinquedea or gladius! Hope they add some more with that shape in the future!
My only thing with the wings is that they are an actual brick on your back. Kinda throws off a lot of glams, might be easier to keep your weapon invisible while sheathed imo.
i am behind the idea for techy/futuristic relics but why does the glow have to be the exact same color for all of them?? Blue does not fit on almost all of my glams, it's quite upsetting. i need red!!
I like some of these, I wish the glow was a little bit more subdued on most of them though, some of these are a little loud for me but some look really good. I already had a Shulk glam for GNB so this works out lol.
The gnb draw animation is sick. Love that detail. Dragoon looks a bit too flat to me, almost like it got squished. Meanwhile, sage looks kinda big, almost like I have torpedoes on my back. I didn’t know dancers played beyblades Bard is the winner for me here; that bow is awesome. I like monk more than I thought I would, I guess cos monk keeps getting shafted. Love the genii Sam sword, I’ve always wanted to have a futuristic katana Overall I really dig the theme! Can’t wait to see these in Solution9 nightclubs
Not super huge on the particle effects on these but the designs are cool on a lot of these. Highlights for me are the DRG weapon and the Heat Hawk- I-I mean the WAR weapon!
Everyone talks about Solution9 but the Xenoblade fanboy in me can't stop thinking about the monado when looking that Gunbreaker weapon with that hole where the monado symbols would appear.
They can't keep making unique weapons for every stage of every weapon as more and more classes are added and as more content comes out. I don't think its wrong to have a uniform look among the weapons.
@@alenezi989a3 because as they come out with more and more different kind of content it gets harder to put a lot of time in such insignificant side content as the relics. It was different back in A Realm Reborn or Heavensward because the game was way smaller and had less to offer. Now we receive way way more. We expect Deep Dungeons, Field Expeditions, Island sanctuary, Criterion Dungeon, soon Space exploration, a new limit class and much more. Designing a unique Relic for every class takes a lot of time and resources and i doubt that SE sees a reason to put so much resources into it. This is the same reason why we don't have class specific quests anymore and instead unified roll quests.
@@kunstlerischesetwas1284 relics are not insignificant, glamour is a huge part of this game, and the relic quest is one of the biggest content for endgame, that's literally why Endwalker has been practically dead, when Eureka and Bozja were released the game was full you couldn't even log in.
These look so good! I'm definitely looking forward to PLD, DRK, MCH and DRG. But more than that I never wanted to pick up SGE more in my life!
The gunblade is literally the manodo from xenoblade
Gives peak Phantasy Star vibes with the bladed weapons XD
Do kinda wish there was more variety in the colors but I'm loving the look. At the very least they got me cooking up some glam ideas for solution 9 and the new 8 man
Thank you. I love this kind of video so soon.
The hexagonal weapon effect…
These might be my favorite relics
MCH got a Destiny handcannon and I'm so up for it
I actually like them this time around, but I can't help feel these look like rejected designs for the TOP weapons lol
Love the red mage and summoner ❤❤
Summoner book looking awesome
With a little white dye you could finally have the Final Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS Ver.2 crossover experience.
Weapon which said circle or disk fits in pretty well is the reaper relic
They all look great except for AST which i main >_<
Looks like i will be stuck with the Eureka relic look for a long time
Im a RDM main and I'm not a fan of mine. But also im not the biggest fan of high tech glams
I’m pleased with the War and Bard ones as those are my main classes but damnit is that dragoon weapon the best one. So damn clean. I’m hoping the older relics get a graphical touch up at some point.
Idk I think bard’s is the coolest. I HATE playing Bard personally, but y’all got a dope relic weapon this time fr
holy shit, im gonna have to get em all, because these are absolutely my vibe!
Man I’m so far behind I haven’t even started this quest line yet these weapons look so nice
Well, these certainly are Endwalker style but it seems to me it fits a lot better with more modern weapon styles like GNB or sage and less with more traditional ones.
The books are interesting though
Thank for the video, also for not tuning 360 camera.which hard to watch before.
Dancer, Ninja, and machinist are the big winner's here.
Any DRK relic still has yet to beat out Cronos Lux for me but these are still pretty cool designs and could make for some cool glam options
Same. I just adore the SHB big glowy sword.
love gunbreaker one, it suits the class so well. amazing. i honestly really love the weapons and think they’ll look amazing in dawntrail.
Gives me energy sword from halo vibes
The GNB one dyed in ruby red is basically the Monado and I love it. And DRK being a whipsword makes me happy, I can finally ditch the Seiryu sword.
great video!
But im extremely disappointed with the edition of relics.
This doesnt come remotely close to how the Bozjan - Zadnor relics series.
But for those who do like them, props to you :)
Look so awesome even if i would wish that blm rod would be not so stiff
As a warrior main I feel like we got shafted the previous stage was a big cool fiery war axe and we ended up with a glorified tin opener...
I mean, you still have the cool fiery war axe... nobody forcing you to keep this look. can just glam over it. personally, i absolutely love my katana
I felt let down by the scythe when I got it (reaper main) then I saw a guy with the war weapon and felt a bit better lol. I'm just gonna use the previous step glam for war its my fav weapon glam to date and I was searching for one for so long.
@@willw1991 I know but still. seems with each relic the designs become more and more well they make less freaking sense Like looking back a previous designs for every relic how do we go from dragon head fist weapons to cyber punk punch pokers, big fiery war axe to tin opener I just feel so let down.
@@teacup1322 Tbh I am probably going to do the same or i will just keep using Ragnorok from ARR because lotta the War relics are complete ass imo of course this stuff is subjective but boy does square know how to let someone down.
I love that the effect on this tier is really unique. The energy blade edges on the tank weapons and the glowing/color-changing bowstring are definitely the highlights for me!
You have reassured my request for information.
Finally made a Black Mage staff that has a round sphere again. I’m still using my Kaladanda Lux.
The gunbreaker is... Wow thats so cool
Cant believe dancer chakrams went from looking like mystical amulets you go through a whole 4 season show to find, to fucking beyblades 😭
Dark knight gotta little extra love with that draw
i am behind the idea for techy/futuristic relics but why does the glow have to be the exact same color for all of them?? Blue does not fit on almost all of my glams, it's quite upsetting. i need red!!
Hello, may i ask what shorts your character is wearing? looks pretty good
I like some of these, I wish the glow was a little bit more subdued on most of them though, some of these are a little loud for me but some look really good. I already had a Shulk glam for GNB so this works out lol.
The gnb draw animation is sick. Love that detail.
Dragoon looks a bit too flat to me, almost like it got squished.
Meanwhile, sage looks kinda big, almost like I have torpedoes on my back.
I didn’t know dancers played beyblades
Bard is the winner for me here; that bow is awesome.
I like monk more than I thought I would, I guess cos monk keeps getting shafted.
Love the genii Sam sword, I’ve always wanted to have a futuristic katana
Overall I really dig the theme! Can’t wait to see these in Solution9 nightclubs
the sam katana looks like A upgraded ver of UWU katana
Dang I just woke up xD ; definitely love the styles!
Not super huge on the particle effects on these but the designs are cool on a lot of these. Highlights for me are the DRG weapon and the Heat Hawk- I-I mean the WAR weapon!
As a melee zaku main in gundam evo, I approve
These are SICKKK
That reaper one is crazyyy
Like these over some of the previous step for some.
I wanna know what your glam is because its fantastic
Everyone talks about Solution9 but the Xenoblade fanboy in me can't stop thinking about the monado when looking that Gunbreaker weapon with that hole where the monado symbols would appear.
Sadly no variety in color. I also don't think this fits to most jobs visually. Not for me, but at least everyone can have a BiS weapon now.
Hello again :D weapons look great, but the glam is even better :3 Could you tell me what pieces you used pretty please?
Mimesis Lux remains unchanged.
This will complete my cyberpunk Archer glam!!
Relics shouldn't look uniform among all the jobs, these look good as raid or trial weapons, they're disappointing as the final step of a relic
They can't keep making unique weapons for every stage of every weapon as more and more classes are added and as more content comes out. I don't think its wrong to have a uniform look among the weapons.
Ultimate weapond pretty much do the same thing so why not relics?
@kunstlerischesetwas1284 of course they can why can't they? This game is SE's cashcow
If you are a Raider with savage and Ultimate good for you but the vast majority of people don't do those, the Relic quest is the most important end game quest most players. And how these weapons are designed is extremely important to make us want to do these quests. The relic quests and weapons are not in any way, shape or form insignificant.
How do you do these animations? The cutscenes always feature these more elaborate weapon draw animations like in this video, but in game you can only do the quick draw/sheathe animations. Is there a way to do the longer weapon draw animation in game?
Really playing into that cyberpunk theme and I'm all for it
YES!! I’ve always wanted a tech based relic! Especially one that glows! The melee and ranged DPS ones are AWESOME, especially the chakrams, they’ll match my dancer glam almost perfectly
All of the weapons got that Phantasy Star vibe to it. But I love the Sage, BlkMage, Reaper, and Gun Breaker designs a lot!
this weapons should work well with the late alegan sets(pvp)
Unfortunate that all the weapons are glowing with the same color tones T-T
Its way better that way. Last set still makes me sad going from the nice tank relics to whatever the fek the decided to give blm.
@@zentanextcav nah...having different colors give a little bit more variety and identity
@@zentanextcav There will always have a few nice ones and a few weird ones so + -...
RDM can really suffer when our weapon's color clashes with our spell effects
I started endwalker early of january this year. Its been 3 weeks since i got to the endwalker msq which is the last one.
Now i'm in the post msq for endwalker. Currently in the part where we gotta go on a treasure hunt 😂 I did rush to catch up but i did not skip a single dialogue. Read everything even for side quests. Decided to be patient this time.
But i also wanted to make progress so i can be ready for dawntrail because i dont want to miss out for this one by the way things look xd
Also i must have that gunblade 😂 i'm a gunbreaker 😏
Finally, weapons that can match with Late Allegan!
not to seem ungrateful for the video but could we see the weapons in the darker area or at least in shade?
