This is a great tour! We were on the Volendam in July, just by the aft elevators of deck 3. It was frustrating getting ready for our trip because I couldn't find many video tours of Volendam rooms that were made after the dry dock in 2019. We were in an ambulatory accessible room and few videos are made of the rooms in that class, esp on the older ships like Volendam.
It was our first cruise and we really loved starting on a smaller ship that still went to all the ports just without all the people and excitement! Unfortunately our's wasn't a terribly quiet room at night. We were directly under part of the galley and they were surprisingly busy at night. The people on the promenade didn't bother us, we put flowers in a gap in the curtains and the curtains closed for the peekers. HAL is at the top of our list for future cruises!
I actually noticed there's a powerstrip behind the TV with open outlets. Might be doable to use them if you have SUPER LONG ARMS. ;) I sadly do not have super long arms, so extension cords for me! (I'm going on this ship in 4 days. Whee!)
I’m on the Volendam at this very moment and the TVs are too small to be able to read the text for shipboard information unless you are standing within three feet of it. Impossible to read from the bed. The Westerdam has larger TVs.
Thanks. We're going on the Volendam next week in cabin 3379, which looks to be the same layout except even a worse view. This gives us an idea of how much space we have and what to expect. Thanks.
I want to thank you for this. It was a great tour of the cabin and also showed me that I preferred to be on deck 2 ocean view. You were very thorough; had my husband watch the video also to feel more comfortable with our 24 day Volendam cruise booked for next year. Anything else you would recommend as an afterthought?
Thank you for you comment. Wow, 24 days. That's awesome. Well, I know you will love the Volendam ship. Although it's small but very private and quite. It really depends in your perspective. For us, we like to stay in the pool or crows nest during the day and hang out in the bar during the night. Also, it's an outdated cabin so there is no USB ports to charge your phone. But their cabin stewards are exceptional, just request anything you need to your cabin and they would help you.
Thank you so much for the nice tour video of the cabin. Great job. We will be on this ship next fall going from Montreal to Boston, also in an ocean view cabin on deck 3. Can’t wait. One thing seems to be missing in the cabin is a refrigerator. Is there one? Thanks.
Thank you for this, I plan on doing a very long over a month sailing with them and am looking at all cabin options. Sucks that the window has that sort of view, though. They shouldn't have a room there it's honestly not very safe if others can in fact see in. But I'm glad you made the most of it! Very helpful video.
This was very helpful, thanks! Thanks for giving actual room number as well, that’s helping me decide what room to pick
Thank you! Very thorough tour. Really helps!

Volendam is a great ship. Not many people like it because it's small but for us is perfect. Serene and quite.

I would recommend try Nieuw Statendam, Konningsdam and the new Rotterdam ship.
Thank you the room tour. Our plans are for a New England/Canada trip on the Volendam. Your information is quite helpful.
Great room tour!
Thank you

@@pkass2895 You are correct
Great overview! We're looking at booking an oceanview cabin on this ship, so this is really helpful!

Main deck has unobstructed view of the sea and ports.
