Dude got booted by MTSU, but was never a terrible coach from tactical standpoint, just incredibly lazy recruiter. MTSU never had the horses to compete because Rick never bothered to recruit anyone that might require them getting in a recruiting battle, simply kids who had no other offers so that he could spend more time on the golf course. Also, he has the personality of mold, so he had no connection with the fan base. Keep him just in the gameplanning rooms and he'll be an asset.
I don't know who was more happy with this hire: Rick himself, or Kevin because he got an excuse to dissect another humiliating Miami loss. All we need now is for Coach Norvell to hire somebody from GaTech's team of last season.

Coach Mike has to realize he don't have any Jordan Travis as a quarterback DJ is more of a pro style quarterback so is game calling has to be a whole lot different than Jordan Travis he has to go back to his Memphis days when it comes to calling plays
I think he will. I don't think JT was the ideal QB for his system, but he was so talented you had to play him.

Thank the lord Mike hired this guy. Norvells offense is bland and boring. Passing game scheme was terrible. Much needed and a good pickup. Not sure what Alex Collins does for the offense tbh. Staff is good not great, I think we all know that
