If you want the car to stay light, I think j32a2, or a aluminum LY6. Both weigh roughly about the same. K-series is great but v6 or v8 just got better displacement and less stress on each rods and pistons.
I think its a J or a 2J because in a video a while back they were talking about the class they wanted to race it in and it had to be either foreign motor as in Japan or a Honda motor. The way they had that oil pan sitting im worried it might be a 2J probably built by Victor over at Induction Performance. That would be cool and all but a J series would be cooler imho.

You positive it a 2JZ going in it ? That was what I initially thought after he pulled the plug on the LS but now I’m not so sure . I could have missed something but I didn’t see him purchase a or anything with a 2JZ I don’t think and I also haven’t seen him or anyone else building a 2 JZ mtr for them ? Where is the Tesla at ? I’m not so sure he isn’t going to use it ! He keeps making comments about things we would expect like the oil can comment from Wyatt and the engine, power plant comments the big turbo you know we are going to put on it comment and the way they are smiling. He bought that Tesla for a project and right after he bought it he changed his mind ( or told us he changed his mind ) about the LS . He said the Tesla ( if it could even be done ) was going to look and be completely different and he has definitely been in contact with Rich who has already done a Tesla swap both ways …. From where that axle broke I would say it was under torqued axle nuts. When the S2ks first came out it was a super common issue. Little bit of play and a good clutch kick and shes gone. Im impressed your diff didn't go first!

Would love to see a J-Series V6 with something like a 86mm twin scroll turbo, run each bank of cylinders into each side to help with boost loss between gear shifts. Down side to a J-Series is there isn't the same support for the platform as say the B-Series/K-Series. Sourcing a spicy transmission would be key to reliability with getting the power down! spreading a 1000+ ponies across 6 cylinders as opposed to 4 would also relieve engine stresses for further reliability ;)
Sure I don't hafta say it but do all the safety equipment in the civic/nsx builds and don't forget the fire suppression on em because that has been the one missing thing that shouldn't be on the up coming builds. With that chassis you'd expect something huge HP is going in it so a straight 6 of some pedigree or an LS. I6 tends to be a tall and long configuration tho which doesn't look like a good fit
maibe make youre own mudflaps out of conveyorbelt rubber and a few small pieces of stainless near the monuting point , those should stay together way better than the plastic ones , either that or make a small bracket for the original ones that goes from the pinchweld under the doors to the edge of the mudflaps , can do that with a small strip of stainless steel and should prevent the flap from eehr flapping in the wind and cracking near the fender attachment as for the civic : wizest choice would be the ls engine you tried the hondah v6 and it didnt stayerd together in the burnout car whole the ls still going

For the ultra low sulfur diesel run some klotz uplon fuel lube. The guys at klotz say this designed to burn unlike auto trans fluid. Never put atf in diesel

Get you some high quality form fitted mud flaps aftermarket..as much as I like the factory ones for there fit and finsh...the aftermarket ones are stronger

I was actually hoping for an ls because it'd be a reliable and winning set-up then but he won't. It will be something fast that has all kinds of reliability issues 75% of the time. People love to hate ls because they are in everything. But they make good power and parts are everywhere
My first thought was an LS but to be honest you did say a couple extra cylinders so I'm going to say a V6 Honda motor maybe 🤞 or maybe a inline 6 but I guess we'll just have to stay tuned.

Make sure the Jeboat blower fan pull from the lower hull. Fuels all settle at the lower engine bay. Currently the fan is mounted to high

To your mention of Taylor's truck. CP4 pumps are known to fail. They don't make conversion kits back to the cp3 for no reason.

maibe make youre own mudflaps out of conveyorbelt rubber and a few small pieces of stainless near the monuting point , those should stay together way better than the plastic ones , either that or make a small bracket for the original ones that goes from the pinchweld under the doors to the edge of the mudflaps , can do that with a small strip of stainless steel and should prevent the flap from eehr flapping in the wind and cracking near the fender attachment
as for the civic : wizest choice would be the ls engine you tried the hondah v6 and it didnt stayerd together in the burnout car whole the ls still going

For the ultra low sulfur diesel run some klotz uplon fuel lube. The guys at klotz say this designed to burn unlike auto trans fluid. Never put atf in diesel

Get you some high quality form fitted mud flaps aftermarket..as much as I like the factory ones for there fit and finsh...the aftermarket ones are stronger
Get the weather tech mud flaps, I’m an installer and we never have any problems with them.
Need to add some foam flotation to the boat in case of sinking. That way it wont sink to the bottom if something bad happens.

I was actually hoping for an ls because it'd be a reliable and winning set-up then but he won't. It will be something fast that has all kinds of reliability issues 75% of the time. People love to hate ls because they are in everything. But they make good power and parts are everywhere

My first thought was an LS but to be honest you did say a couple extra cylinders so I'm going to say a V6 Honda motor maybe 🤞 or maybe a inline 6 but I guess we'll just have to stay tuned.
